EP 84 - THE EASTERN VILLAGE .
"What the F...k is taking so long?!!!!!!" Levi yelled impatiently using his bare hands to hold apart the mouth of the abomination that wanted to bite his head off as both struggled into the cave that was fast filling up with water.
"What do you think I'm doing?!" Avyanna head bobbed to the surface and retorted erratically. "I wasn't the one that told you to stumble into a monster lair , did I?"
"Us arguing isn't going to get us out of here alive , so stop yapping and snapping." Levi replied. "Drowning is NOT the way I'm going to go."
Avyanna rolled her eyes. "I 'm pretty sure if you die, its gonna be between a woman's legs." She retorted sarcastically. Taking a deep breath , Avyanna started hammering at the rocks.
These two were trapped in a cave that formed part of a cove. Not only Where they stuck in there with a monster that wanted to suck out their life force and then devour their bodies but the cave was filling up with water. Soon their oxygen would run out and they'd be dead.
How they got here you ask?

A FEW DAYS EARLIER.
They were all on their way to the Broken Peaks to continue their journey first they would have to go through the Shimane Prefecture facing towards the coasts and then head to a harbour close by , and the adventurers would get to their destination.
They could have gone around the area but that would have taken days of walking and who liked walking?
So Avyanna decided to take them through the fastest route ; The Zipangu Region.
But it wasn't so easy.
They had to wade through mud , sometimes falling into it. Deal with the thousands of buzzing and biting insects and bugs. As they kept moving forward, Levi spotted strange movements in the trees.
"Stop." He told the others to hold their position. An arrow moved swiftly through the air and landed right infront of them.
"One more move and meet your death ." An unseen voice called out.
"Who are you? Not man enough to show yourself?!" Levi replied.
The trees rustled as platoons men armed to teeth emerged from the trees and foreclosures. Each man had a sharpened sword and daggers. Other men hung in the trees with their arrows tipped with deadly poisons , ready to strike at the intruders.
A tall striking young man came forth among the battalion . He was heavily dressed as if preparing for war. He held the pointed part of his Sword against Levi's throat and went on in a threatening tone.
"State your purpose. Ally or Foe?"

The Adventurers were led back , bound in chains , into a remote village near a large expanse of water . The houses must have been built ages ago with that type of structure .
Just as they were being marched into the village by the company of soldiers , A loud cry was heard.
"THE USHI-ONI HAS RETURNED!!!!!"
Horns sounded as drums began beating a battle tune. The men that had accompanied the adventurers had already left them to their fate as they ran to their posts. Men were barking orders while others complied picking up their swords and weaponry. Shouts were being heard all around as Conrad stood confused.
"What is happening?!"
"I don't know But we better take cover and find out." Avyanna resolved.
They hid themselves behind the corner of some of the houses and watch the events unfold.
The striking young man from earlier took control. He stood at the forefront with his arm raised. All went quiet as always the soldiers looked straight ahead. Nothing was to be seen.
Percival was already convinced that all these people were crazy.
"Fire!!!" The man suddenly shouted and all the arched stationed at the rooftops loosened their arrows in the air and sent it flying into the unknown. Avyanna peered in to get a closer look at what could cause such alarm when a Silky web shot out and grabbed one of the warriors dragging it into the darkness.
"Attack!" The man ordered.
The soldiers charged as the monstrosity they were facing leaped into view. It had the body of a female being but horns like that of an ox and legs of a spider. Each of these legs where covered with black hair ending in sharp tips.
It screeched and Sunk its legs simultaneously into eight victims. The monster sprang into the air and tore its way through the army. Walls crumbled as one of the horrified men deserted their stations.
The Leader bravely took up arms and charged towards the creature and ended up hashing it on its fore leg. Shooting out a thicker web from its forked tongue, this web wrapped the man up in a cacoon that it began dragging after it.
Avyanna was unable to bare it anymore ; Watching these people getting mercilessly slaughtered.
"Are you deranged?!" Levi pulled her arm as she attempted to get up.
"Maybe ...Maybe not. But I can't stand by and watch them all get slaughtered . They deserve a fighting chance."
"People can fight their own battles so come on let's go ." Levi insisted.
"No. I have to help."
Eva took the die and rolled.

" Fiery Sword Slash!!!"
Streaks of Fire from the direction of Avyanna's Sword ; aimed at the creature. For the first time throughout the fighting, the monster seemed actually affected by this blow . Caught unexpectedly by this attack , it cast a watchful glance at its attacker and slowly retreated back into the unknown.
"How can someone be stupid and crazy all at the same time?" Levi grinned and shook his head.
Avyanna shrugged and returned his smile. "Somehow I make it work."
