EP 60 - NOT A FULL MOON??

"Anyone willing to save him?" Eva asked generally.

"I'll pass." Su ling waved off.

"Me too. Can't risk it." Obi leaned on the table.

"Obi? how could you do this to me???? Aren't we friends?!" John accused

Obi shrugged. "Sorry dude , but it ain't personal."

Sky thought for a moment and rolled.

Percival who was the first to make his way to Avyanna, ran to the edge of the cliff and jumped. His arm that was exposed to the jaunty rocks with armour was sliced open but he kept going.

He took out his sword as he was falling and grabbed Levi's hand and wedged his LongSword Blade in between some rocks.

"You alright?" He asked panting.

"Get off me. I can handle myself."

Percival sighed. "And you've done a great job of it so far. I just saved your life. Can't you try to be grateful??!!"

Kyra looked over the ledge and saw Percival's Sword stuck in between rocks and his arm holding on to Levi's that was now bloodied.

"They're safe!!" She comforted Avyanna and breathed a sigh of relief.

"No wonder I can hear their bickering from up here." Conrad rolled his eyes.

Conrad threw down a rope and tightly secured it ton his hand. Kyra stood in front of him and Avyanna behind her.. They pulled the rope backwards and Percival was able to climb his way back up holding on to Levi's uninjured arm. They all fell to the ground gasping for breath.

Kyra went towards Levi . "How are you doing?"

He smiled but winced in anguish. "I'm okay. Nothing that won't heal."

Avyanna was relieved that Levi and Percival was alive though injured. She couldn't have been able to live with herself if anything has happened to any of her comrades but didn't show it unlike the overly emotional Conrad that was trying to embrace Levi against his will.

Avyanna thought back about the attack of the monster.

She has gotten a closer look at it and had concluded her theory.

It was indeed a Fenfir.

A werewolf and a Powerful one at that to have sent a god over a cliff as strong as he was.

But even that didn't complete the mystery.

Avyanna looked at the dark sky and noticed something she hadn't seen before.

It wasn't a full moon.

That mean whatever attacked them was a human. Werewolves can only shapeshift during the full moon and by instinct they go wild until they are able to control it. Avyanna was sure it was a werewolf But it wasn't a full moon.

She followed the direction that she had seen the wolf take back into the woods until the claw tracks changed into human ones, Leading back to the Kingdom.

Avyanna monitored the area. The atmosphere had changed as the moon retreated behind the clouds. Showing in full view was the famous Aurora Borealis in its array of numerous colors.

"Wow!" Conrad exclaimed.

"It's beautiful." Kyra said as she looked up.

Avyanna wasn't concerned by this. She bent down to retrieve something. It was a piece of cloth that had been torn off. It was caught by a blade of grass. Avyanna examined it and grinned.

The Kingdom of the Northern Lights was still a long distance away and Avyanna couldn't bare the thought of walking.

Shutting her eyes, she chanted a spell. A bird circled the dark sky before finally landing on the ground .Avyanna had summoned it from the beast realm as it had be ordered to obey her will. She got on and held on to its feathers as it flew in the direction of the Kingdom .

Erylis hurriedly put on a nightgown made from the finest silk and wool . She was about going to bed when someone knocked on her door.

Erylis had expected that it was one of her knights that was to tell her the proceedings of the Hunt of the beast so she opened the door only to see Avyanna standing on her threshold, looking as if she might faint.

She was dumbfounded. " How did you get past my guards!" Erylis demanded. "They were asleep. You should really work on your security. " Avyanna pushed her way into the Young Queen's room.

"This is not the way to address to a queen but 'You may come in.' " the Queen said sarcastically.

"We saw the beast that has been terrorizing your Kingdom tonight." Avyanna spoke nonchalantly, glancing around her private chambers .

"Did you kill it...?" The Queen poured some tea for Avyanna which she had intended for herself and handed it over to her. "Tea?"

It was more of a statement than a question.

Avyanna refused and proceeded.

"No. It managed to escape despite our best efforts ."

"What a shame." Erylis shook her head.

Avyanna stared at her reflection in the tea that Erylis had set down "But I have a theory."

Erylis rose her eyebrow in interest. "Indulge me , Miss..."

"Just call me Avyanna. " She smiled and continued "Well ...I had a theory that you were in league with the Beast or more specifically, you were protecting it."

Erylis Countenance changed and she stood up. "Oh, did you?"

Avyanna walked to the window. "But I figured that that was preposterous ! Isn't it Erylis?"

"Exactly Avyanna, Absolutely Preposterous!"

Avyanna ran her hand over the claw marks that hadn't been well concealed by fresh paint. "So I came up with another theory..."

"And what is that?" Erylis said making another cup of tea for herself , stirring it with a spoon holding it daintily between her thumb and index finger.

"That you are the werewolf."

Erylis gently placed her tea down on her beside table. "Now that is absurd Avyanna. I brought you to my Kingdom to kill a beast not to lay false accusations."

"You know what happens to anyone who falsely accuse the queen?"

Avyanna walked up to her and looked her right in the face." Are you really sure it is an accusation or am I just stating the facts?".Avyanna spoke as she held her arms.

"If it is not true , why can't you move your left shoulder... that is where Levi stabbed you isn't it??"Avyanna raised an eyebrow.

The Queen scoffed.

Avyanna drew out her Katana. "Your highness, I think I have already found the beast so all that remains is to slay it..."

Roll.

Avyanna struck her Katana in the direction of the queen and tore the bed into two.

But Erylis wasn't hurt , she was safely on the floor on all fours , eyes gleaming red and teeth bared . She growled and snarled.

Avyanna sheathed her blade and folded her arms.

"I might have that tea now."
