EP 41 - SLAYING A DRAGON

Percival held his trusty aide , The LongSword of truth and marched out to face the Dragon. He wasn't quite sure of the plan that Levi told them and he had this nagging feeling that Levi didn't like him either.

But he had to try .

Conrad watched Percival's nervous steps in approaching the dragon.

He dived back to the safety of the rock.

"Are you sure of this plan?" Avyanna asked for the third time.

"Yes." He chided.

"One thing I know for sure is that both Dragons and women are attracted to shiny objects ." Avyanna groaned and punched his arm.

"And besides if he's killed , we'll have one less person to worry about." He smirked.

Percival reached the place where the Dragon stood on all fours.

He gulped.

Percival took out his shield and began to make clanging noises, hitting them against each other. This noise attracted the Dragon and he blew a ball of lightning at him.

Sky rolled the die.

Percival was able to block it with his shield but the derivative force pushed him back that his feet dug into the ground.

The dragon opened its mouth to decor him when a small ball gained entry into its mouth and exploded stunning the beast for a moment.

"Boom goes the dynamite!" Conrad yelled .

"Awesome! Do you have anymore?" Avyanna asked anxiously.

"Actually..."Conrad got up and began to move back slowly. "That was my only explosive remaining so I'm just going to hide behind this tree while y'all fight that thing." He drawled and ran behind a tree not that far away

"You pipsqueak!!!" Levi cursed and dragged Avyanna up. "Seems its up to us now."

Avyanna nodded.

Levi brought out a huge battle axe and held it firmly. Avyanna held her katana and they ran quickly towards the dragon.

John rolled.

He jumped up .

"Deathly Hallow art: Strike of fury.

The axe made contact with the Dragon's back and dark blood spattered on his face as he wiped it off his face. He made to strike another blow when the Dragon quickly avoided the hit.

"Damn it!" He swore. "It's moving too fast and I can't get a hit in!".

"I can hold for a little while but you and Percival need to give it all you got."

Eva rolled.

She smiled.

Avyanna still had some tricks up her sleeves.

Avyanna levitated in the air and stretched her hand towards the dragon who was getting ready to use its huge tail to crushed. "Nervi Resoluti, Minuere !"

The dragon was unable to move. It roared in pain and agony.

Percival gripped his sword tightly and flung his axe and caught it.

"This is going to be fun."

They attacked ferociously striking multiple times, wounding the Dragon.

"Go guys!!!! I'm rooting for you ! Stick that sword into that snake Percival !!! You can do it, Levi !!!!!! ". Conrad cheered for them , still taking cover behind his tree.

The monster sent a crash of lightning in Levi's direction, but he countered it using his Multiple Lightning strike techniques. Being of the same elements and nature, the force of the two was so overwhelming that they cancelled each other out.

A streak of lightning was advancing toward Conrad. Luckily for him, he managed to see it in time and ducked.

"You did that on purpose! Do you wanna kill me!!!!" He shouted.

"I can't believe it's taken me that long." Levi replied and Conrad huffed.

Avyanna's power of paralysis was getting weaker and weaker.

"Guys!!!". She yelled "I'm not getting any younger down here!"

Unfortunately , the spell she had used. on the dragon to contain had grown to weak to stand and was finally broken. The monster used it tail to throw Avyanna into the tree where Conrad was hiding from the fight.

"Haven't you heard the saying ; He who runs away , lives to fight another day?" Obi relaxed in his chair.

Levi rushed to Avyanna's aid leaving Percival against the monster.

Sky tossed the die.

"Crushed it!"

But unfortunately at that moment, John's mother came in to inform him that after their game , he needed to attend a gala with his father. So none of the others saw her toss.

"But...But I swear I got '6'".

Obi sucked air between his teeth."Sorry, but none of us saw. So according to

'The Rules of replay' that throw Is now void since no one can attest to the fact."

Sky looked at Eva for confirmation but she shrugged. She turned to Su ling.

"Sorry but 'Tobi' is right." Su ling said defeatedly."

"Don't call me that.It's Obi not 'Tobi'!" Obi repeated.

"Alright, Toooobi!" Su ling grinned.

Sky sighed and rolled again.

"Oh Lord , why me!!" She moaned.

The dragon raised one of its mighty feet and thinking quickly, Percival slid under it and moved away. The battle was now tiring. If it drew on any longer they'd all soon be dead.

Percival placed his LongSword in its Sheath. What he was About to do was highly risky. The Dragonscale blade was like a double edged sword. Although it brought about great casualties and destruction, it caused huge damage on the holder that dares wield it , one of its unbeneficial and irreversible gifts being death.

Percival drew out his blade and held it firmly. He thought of all his friends, The times they had shared together, the laughter, the cheers and sorrows. He thought of Alexis, one of the bravest men he'd ever known. He thought of Michelle.

He smiled inwardly. If it was just for all these people that their lives have been lost ...

He was ready to avenge them.

Percival walked bravely to the dragon, his armor shinning brightly. The dragon began crawling towards him slowly, with each step getting faster than before.

"Grant me strength." He silently prayed. This was the Lord's time to actually prove himself again. Percival closed his eyes. He felt power coursing through his veins like never before.He was at Level 15, the highest Level that a Paladin could ever hope to achieve. His eyes , now glittering white,shone brightly like the sun .

"For Michelle, For Alexis, FOR THE GOOD OF HUMANITY!!!!" Percival yelled as he charged towards the dragon. The two finally met at the centre of the battlefield and Percival stabbed his Blade into its throat and dragged it down till it stopped at its heart . He split it open and thrust his sword through it and at last the dragon have a finally bellow and fell heavily ...

It was finally dead

Conrad came out from his hiding place and Levi helped Avyanna up with his arm around her.

Percival tried catching his breath but it was getting hard to breathe.

Closing his eyes , he fell to the ground.
