In a crumbling city, north of Sutherland, inside the room of an inn.
"Hmm, so you wanna do that little brat in that much?"
"He's developed quite the high-rank spells; they're chantless as well."
"But in the end, it's just a spell from this inferior world, right?"
"Yeah, that's true."
"Then those prideful guys definitely wouldn't use any spells from this third-rate world. ♬ Their potential is infinitely small♪It'll be fine, I tell ya ♫"
"But that kid; he's still seen through you, you know, if but only faintly? Don't take him too lightly."
"Well~, even a monkey could figure that out if they put in the slightest bit of thought♩"
"Still, to hold that much intelligence and at that age---he's clearly a dangerous element here. At the very least, shouldn't we remove him from this game?"
"Do you really think a mere scrawny kid can dispel my spells? Are you perhaps underestimating me, Grim?"
For the first time, anger faintly tinted Nero's cheerful words.
"I didn't say that. Just, don't take it too far," the Grim said.
"Like I said, that's under---" Nero began before Grim cut him off.
"Nero, have you forgotten that person's teachings?"
Nero quickly fell silent as he clenched his teeth.
"I know," said Nero. "You're the master of this game. I'll do as you say. So, what should I do?"
"Send 300,000 undead 30 kilometers to the west of there; over to Thermax. I'll do something about this," Grim ordered.
"Roger♬ Now let's have a fun game."
"Yeah. We'll give those insects that stole our precious and beloved person from us the most wondrous fear and despair!"
"Carefully, and mercilessly."
"Slyly, and cruelly."
"I vow to kill them all!!" they said in unison.
Their voices reverberated throughout the inn, but there wasn't a single soul there to hear it. Now, the game advances towards the next stage.
