The Abandoned Elivette Hirsch

"Zequiel, isn't what you're doing too far? You have murdered innocent people!" The Queen exclaimed as she saw the bloodied corpses of the Palace's knights. "By giving them a quick and painless death, I've already shown them mercy. Elivette has been through a lot, and taking their lives wouldn't be enough to make up for it." "Zequiel, no life is more valuable than the other. They were merely ordered! And Elivette is still alive—" The Queen was interrupted by a chilly gust of wind before she could finish her sentence. The sword that Zequiel used to take those knights' lives is now aimed at her neck. "Don't go there Your Majesty," Zequiel warned, "The person you're referring to didn't hesitate to save those commoners lives. She is beyond comparison to your incompetent knights." "Zequiel, what is going on?" The King appeared out of nowhere, causing Zequiel to put his weapon away. "I'm taking Eli with me." "You can't do that! Her identity is still unknown! This isn't something you can decide on your own." The Queen stated as her eyes asked help from the King. The King sighed, "Celaestis, just let him." Zequiel was about to leave but then he turned back to look at his brother, "If I ever found out that it was really you who ordered to hurt her, Mark my words, I'll do the same thing to your woman." ----- Eli's goal in life is to finish college, earn enough money, and have a life of her own. Not until she woke up one day, in a different place, different setting, and in a different body. She transmigrated in a novel, in the body of a cannon fodder. The worst part? She transmigrated in the ending of the novel, where Elivette Hirsch was already removed from the Hirsch genealogy and was abandoned by her own father. Now she has to find jobs to fend for herself. But how will she live in a world that is slowly changing from what she's read?

Performing in front of the Matron

Wow that was fast.

To add another flower to its collection.

That sounds a bit weird doesn't it?

I saw some men being entertained by women who I think are just ushers as they are also escorting them to rooms I think.

I felt my hands get cold and I couldn't help but get nervous again.

I feel as if I'm dealing something illegal.

The woman stopped at a specific room and knocked on the door, a bell rang and she faced us.

"The Matron is inside, do come in." I nodded and opened the door.

What unfolded was a living room, with a table in the middle, and a woman was sitting on one of the sofas. There were also instruments and a small stage just ahead of the set of sofa. I can see the piano, there was even a harp, then the vielle, which I think is just the older version of the violin.

The room looks so feminine with pink curtains made of sheers I think. The sofa looks so soft also and the table is covered with pink fabric with a teapot on it.

However, despite the room looking so pretty, the Matron's beauty is incomparable. She's gorgeous.

Gosh, I expected that the Matron is someone who is a grumpy old lady but it turns out it is a beautiful young lady.

She looks like she's 25 years old.

I stepped closer to Penny and whispered, "Did the Bare Elegance just established? How come the Matron is so young?"

"No My lady, the Bare Elegance is the oldest whorehouse in this Kingdom. Maybe the Matron had just inherited the establishment. And please My Lady, Let's not converse in whispers in front of someone. That is disrespectful."

I stepped away from her and straightened my back.

Did I seem like I was an unethical person?

The Matron was sipping her tea when we reached the sofa.

How the hell should I approach her? I should have practiced, Gosh.

"Hello," I said and smiled at her and was about to sit when Penny pulled me back to stand up straight once again.

We're not supposed to sit? Are we going to stand up the whole time we talk?

Penny suddenly grabbed her skirt, bowed her head a little and bent her knees.

I looked at her questioningly, and then I realized that we need to curtsy.

I forgot that people actually do that here.

Penny side eyed me and I did the same, not as gracious as Penny though.

"Please sit," The Matron said and we did so.

Gosh, Even her voice sound elegant.

I'm starting to fan girl for their Matron here.

If she was in my world, she'd be a hit pop idol for sure.

Maybe she needs another maid perhaps? I wouldn't even mind applying as her servant.

"May I ask what is the purpose of your visit Miss Elivette?"

My ears perked up, "Oh, you know me?" I happily asked.

I didn't know I was that famous, even the Matron knows who I am.

"Who doesn't know about you? It's easy to recognize you with your red eyes, and I'm familiar with all of the nobles of the Capital."

Oh so that's why.

Having a woman with red eyes away from capital that looks like a mess, only means one thing.

That woman is no other than Elivette Hirsch.

I was hoping that since we're in the border city, away from the Capital, it would be much better to apply in here because people wouldn't know about what happened with Elivette Hirsch, turns out they are updated with the news.

Being removed from a noble genealogy is after all not a trivial matter.

"Uhmm.. we would like to apply... as a flower here." That's what they call the women here right?

"Are the two of you applying?"

"Yes."

"No."

I looked at Penny who was shocked beyond words.

"You're not applying?"

"No, My Lady! I don't have any talent and I don't even consider as a flower anymore."

I looked back at the Matron, "Then it would just be me."

"Then what is your talent Miss Elivette that you can perform for our guests?"

"Oh I can dance." I simply said and didn't state that it was Hip hop dancing since she's still won't be familiar with it.

"Then you won't mind having a little dance presentation for me?" She questioned and gestured to the small stage.

I nodded and stood up.

"What music do you want? Shall I play for you?"

"Oh you'd do that?" I clapped my hands but then remembered that she wouldn't be familiar with Hip hop music either.

"I would love to hear you play Madam, but it's best that I do the music."

She simply nodded.

I stepped on the stage which was I think around 10 inches higher than the floor.

I looked at the both of them waiting for me to perform.

Penny was even clapping her hands.

I started to beat box the chorus' beat of the 16 Shots song by Stefflon Don. It is a music in my world that is mostly danced with Hip hop moves.

What I'm gonna perform is a small part in one of the competition participation that we did just last year.

I started with small popping movements from my shoulder going down to my feet. Then I started doing big movements with my legs and grazing my hands around my body, feeling the music in my mind and trying to hum and beat box my way around it.

I did some lock it down moves according to the beat. I grabbed and lifted my dress, so the hem would be just below my ankle and finished my dance with the moonwalk.

I did a turn, dip then bowed.

I heard some clapping sounds. I looked up to see Penny standing up, wiping the tears in her eyes, looking like a proud Mother. The Matron on the other hand seemed so entertained to the point she's laid out on the sofa with her hand in her stomach, laughing.

Does that mean I did well?

"How did I do Madam?" I asked after I saw that she's gathered herself, and had stopped laughing already.

"That was the most unusual performance I had ever seen."
