Awakening 2

"Did you get lazy or what?" Xia Qingyue said seeing me sitting back and reading a book, I sighed at her words before closing the book. I looked at her before my eyebrow raised seeing the changes to her body. 

"I came to challenge you to a duel." She said calmly, I looked at her for a moment, before smiling. Xia Qingyue had made great improvement, not in cultivation, but mainly in her skills, and mastery of ice.

I waved at her to come at me, and Xia Qingyue didn't think twice and waved towards me. I watched as the power to freeze it all shot towards me, only to pause around me and start freezing infinity. I watched as Infinity was slowly frozen, nearing me.

"I know I can get past it, get serious." Xia Qingyue said to which I rolled my eyes, before putting a small amount of power into strengthening Infinity. The Ice instantly froze, unable to move.

"What you were getting through was the passive ability, False Infinity. It just happens on its own without the need for me to even use my energy. but once the slightest of my energy is used, True Infinity is born." I said with a smile. Xia Qingyue looked at me in shock, unable to believe what she saw.

"If you need time to bypass it, then you shall never do it. If it doesn't happen instantly, then it's a sign that you will never cross infinity unless your speed keeps increasing over time." I said with a smile and instantly Xia Qingyue had a bad feeling.

"You got arrogant, you think because you have a physique you could rival me?" I asked while Xia Qingyue stepped backward, sweat covering her forehead. I blinked, and with a flash Ice shot toward Xia Qingyue.

Xia Qingyue summoned her ice to clash with my ice, only to find that her ice had just frozen upon contact with my ice. Xia Qingyue's eyes widened, but her body moved on its own, quickly avoiding all of the ice, although a piece of the ice touched her.

Xia Qingyue landed on her feet and waved her hands towards me, just to find her ice capability was frozen. Her eyes widened in shock, not knowing what had happened.

"I call that Fresh Freeze, pretty much anything my ice touch would find all of its capability just frozen. I pretty much hit the pause button on your capability, this is the power to freeze stuff." I said with a smile. Xia Qingyue's eyes flashed, and after a few seconds, she managed to find a weakness within my ability, which she used to break free and use her ability to free herself,

"The power of ice isn't simply to create simple ice. When you create Ice, the time on that Ice shouldn't move. the atoms creating that ice should lose all concepts of the word change. all it should know is to fly forward and never stop unless you say otherwise." I said while creating an ice spike that shot toward Xia Qingyue.

It was slow, giving Xia Qingyue more than enough time to launch an attack which she shot at the Ice Spike, but she was shocked to find how time no longer affected the Ice Spike. all the ice spike knew was to move forward, it was an unstoppable and unbreakable object.

She rushed to create a shield, creating Ice shields that were empowered to the peak. yet the Ice spike pierced through it as if nothing was in its way. it didn't even slow down. it just kept moving straight.

She quickly moved to the side, not daring to tank the attack head-on. I had the attack turn to water, while she looked at me in shock. But as I snapped my finger, Ice Spears, after Ice Spears filled the air, and aimed at her.

"Now, I will fuse the two, and attack with the intent to kill, in 3 seconds," I said to which she quickly froze time. But she was shocked to see me just looking at her, not bothered by the time being frozen.

"W-what?" She asked in shock, not understanding how I wasn't affected by time being frozen.

"Do you think stopping time is enough to stop me?" I asked with a shake of my head, before just closing my eyes and waiting for the 3 seconds to be up. luckily for Xia Qingyue, the 3 seconds wouldn't start until time moves.

'How is his ice doing that? I see, the first ability to freeze other abilities... That isn't freezing the mind. It goes deeper, it was like my power to use anything was just paused. It freezes things to a deeper level. it goes beyond simply freezing laws like space and time..' She thought

'the power to freeze things to the point of change no longer affects it. it's like he freezes the concept of change on the ice... no, his ice never had it from the start. As it is created, it is created without the concept of change. it shall never change, unless someone brings the concept back into it.' She thought her eyes brightening, her mind raced as she created an ice shield, which surrounded her. at the same time, time began moving.

The Ice Spear shot forward after 3 seconds, and she watched as the Ice spikes and Ice shield clashed. What would happen if an unmoveable and unstoppable object clashed? they cancel each other out. 

The ability to freeze the capability of others was also canceled out, sadly for Xia Qingyue, she was outnumbered and was quickly filled with a rain of spikes.

"Don't copy me, do your own thing," I said with a smile, while Xia Qingyue tried her best to hold onto life. She was doing everything in her power to prevent her capability from being frozen, yet as time passed it was harder and harder for her. there were just too many spikes stabbed into her body right now.

I snapped my finger, and the ice suddenly turned back into water, allowing Xia Qingyue to quickly heal herself. She fell to her knees, breathing heavily from the near-death experience. 

"..." She looked at me, not knowing what to think. I snap of my finger nearly killed her... no, it toyed with her, humbling her. She fully understood that ice wasn't my main element, this only made her realize just how wide their gap was.

"Well, I will be leaving soon to go explore the lower realms. What are your plans?" I asked with a smile, to which Xia Qingyue grew annoyed. first, she was nearly killed, and now I was scheming against her. She was of course not happy. As for how I was scheming against her, bringing along a beauty like her around... let's say things would not be boring.

"I'm not your tool for you to play with." She said coldly, but in the end, she nodded as she kind of wanted more life-and-death experiences to push herself. Plus, I would be there to save her, so she had nothing to worry about. Thats even more so knowing that I wouldn't act unless her life was at the death door.

"When are we leaving?" She asked to which I shrugged.

"Tell me when you're ready... wait, I should awaken your brother's physique while I'm at it. he should come with us." I said in realization, stunning Xia Qingyue who didn't know her brother had a physique.

"I will kill you in front of him, seeing your death should be a huge blow to his mind," I said calmly, to which Xia Qingyue quickly shook her head as she didn't want to put her little brother through that... well, I wasn't asking.

I pulled back a fist, and instantly she turned to flee. for her brother, she was willing to flee and throw away her face. but did it matter if she fled? A huge blow slammed into her back, sending her flying toward Red River City while coughing up a mouthful of blood. she fainted on the spot.

She rocketed through the sky, and soon she slammed into the mansion belonging to her family. everyone was drawn out, among them being her little brother who was horrified seeing her lying there, unknown if he was dead or alive.

"Sis!" Xia Yuanba cried while running over to her not even realizing that everyone in the village had fainted. Xia Yuanba was a tall man with an outstanding physique, but even so, he was trash and had no talent for cultivation. 

He madly shook her body, wanting to wake her up. but tears gathered in his eyes seeing as she wasn't going to wake up. He let out a painful cry, but his attention was drawn to the sky where I floated, looking down upon him.

"Wow, she is still alive? blah blah..." I said but I found myself unable to say anything but blah... I was bored, I didn't even have the energy to put together words. I sighed, while just holding my palm to the sky, and a huge sun grew from my palm.

"Sigh, you are such trash I can't even bother to put together words. Just step aside, killing trash isn't something I take great pleasure in." I said with a cocky smile, which enraged Xia Yuanba, never in his life did he want more strength than he did now. He stood up, ready to fight me to the death, but he froze when he saw his sister suddenly flashing in front of him.

He was shocked, and called out to her, just to realize she didn't wake up, this left him confused, and didn't know just what was going on.

"How cute, even while at death door, her body would push through the pain, and on instinct, it would protect you," I said removing some tears from my eyes. But Xia Yuanba was hit with pain at those words, he gritted his teeth with such force that his gum began to start bleeding.

"I will kill you." Xia Yuanba roared while an aura burst out of his body, sending the mansion flying away. His cultivation which he had struggled for so many years to improve suddenly began shooting upwards, easily reaching Xiantian than Qi Condensation, it stopped at level 7. this was the awakening of his Physique.

"You two are freaks," I said while waving my hand, healing Xia Qingyue and waking her up. Xia Qingyue's eyes instantly popped open, but as soon as she sensed her brother, she realized she was too late.

"I told you no!" She said angrily, to which I shrugged.

"The mindset of being the strongest is what was needed, and let's face it. It's foolish to think you can do everything on your own. you're not me." I said before disappearing, leaving Xia Qingyue's face bright red in rage.

"... Sis. What's going on?" Xia Yuanba asked not knowing what was happening, one second his sister was half dead, and the next moment she was all healed up and was saying stuff he didn't understand.

Xia Qingyue looked at her brother with a complex look, before signing.

"You have a physique, he wanted to awaken it." Xia Qingyue said softly, Xia Yuanba was even more confused. Since when did her sister show so much emotion, and now what was this about a physique?

The Tyrannical Emperor's Divine Veins are the veins of the War God and are a rare set of veins and to certain people a god-send because of their nature. Once veins are awoken it will take one night's time to break into the Saint Realm, or even possibly the High Saint Realm.

The way to awaken these Divine Veins is to have the heart of a tyrant and the desire to become an emperor and to possess power so much that it outweighs all other aspirations. But if one is incapable of awakening them then they will need to put in 10 times the effort to break through.

So yeah, these veins were powerful. but Xia Yuanba was special, as his Divine veins were stronger than others. But it only brought extreme cultivation speed, I would have to train him to be stronger than those of the same realm...

"Why do you not want me to break through?" After getting to know everything, Xia Yuanba was confused as to why Xia Qingyue used her ice power to freeze his ability to cultivate. With every second that passed, his body was taking in a huge amount of Qi, he would have reached the core formation realm given a few minutes.

"Because I want to reach levels 11 and 12 in both Houtian and other realms." Xia Qingyue said to which Xia Yuanba was shocked, not knowing such a thing was real.

"I want you to cripple yourself. this technique would store the energy, allowing you to quickly regain your former cultivation. but with your current growth, I don't think thats needed." She said to which Xia Yuanba took the scroll, before looking deeply at Xia Qingyue.

"Sis... I don't like that man." Xia Yuanba said softly, he had a bad feeling about him,

"He is my master, and he plans to take you as his disciple. He would not harm you unless he has a good reason." She said with a sigh.

"Are you defending the guy who nearly killed you?" Xia Yuanba asked while looking at her in disbelief, and this left Xia Qingyue helpless. She had been pushed to the blink of death so many times that she didn't see it as a big deal anymore. She was of course angry with me, but what could she do to someone she couldn't touch?

She would of course try to get her payback, she didn't like being used like that. Although she was used to near-death moments, no way in her life was she going to ignore this moment...

"I'm not defending that jerk, but just watch, I will make him cry soon." She said lightly, all she needed was a few dreams, and she would be able to defeat him... if she could spend a few years in a dream, then she was sure to win. if she can somehow use her ice to increase the time she spends in her dream... she will wake up tomorrow as the strongest.
