The 13th Olympian

"The children of the sea God Shall fight all odds To calm the God who has it lost Find the one who didn't die And be different than a lie" Warning: This story contains scenes of graphic stupidity! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Delilah is a young goddess who craves to live the normal life of a demigod. Little does she know neither the demigod life is normal nor is her existence. Zeus is secretive and he forbid her from stepping on Earth. Delilah as usual is a rebel and does exactly what she isn't supposed to do. This creates major problems for everyone and for her. NOTE: The story contains an Indian mythology crossover! [DISCLAIMER] I don't own any of the characters from the PJO or the HOO series. Except Delilah and Aaron; And some new Gods you have not read about in PJO or HOO. They're all mine.

Thanatos! How dare you?!

I got so lost in thoughts I didn't notice the sun beaming. The water was shiny. I sat up groggily. Annabeth and Percy were still asleep. I looked around. Water was surrounding us from all sides. I zoomed in the distance, no direction in particular. There was one very tiny thing visible. Preferably it was land. But it seemed to be ages away. I was so fed up of being in water. I wanted to get on land as fast as possible. I don't like water very much. The depths are scary. Plus I don't prefer giving attention to only one power of mine for too long. That way I stay organized. It is all about justice, people.

I got up and gazed at my crew. Just don't wake up, I thought.

With one snap of my fingers the boat shot up in a projectile into the air. I clenched my teeth. Stay put, boat. Please stay put. I tried not to look below. We were about a million feet above sea. Not really. Yet the height was terrifying. At the speed of a hundred miles per hour, oh the horror. I wonder how you mortals travel in those air-fishies so calmly. Airplanes is it? Whatever.

The very tiny little point sized thing began to grow bigger and bigger in size. I tried to control the wind with all my might. Zeus's domain was a major drawback of mine. Yet I tried to slow down our speed. The wind got out of control. I imagined us crash landing, with Percy and Annabeth dying peacefully in sleep and me basically dying from the horror of losing the best heroes of Olympus. And all because of me. Shut up! I told myself. I tried once again to get a hold of the air. C'mon. Obey me! I tensed. Please for once. I'll owe you big time. I don't know why I said that. But the air seemed to accept the deal. I grabbed hold of it. But not so much. In one mega splash we hit the water about 50 feet away from the land. The jerk got me thrown right out of the boat and into the water. With a beautiful fountain surrounding our boat Percy and Annabeth got fully drenched in water. "Great," I muttered.

I swam back and forth, finding a way to climb back on. Percy gasped. "Whaaaaaa," he flailed. Annabeth saw me somewhat and tried to tackle me. But I yelled, "It's me!" For a second she stared at me completely poker faced. Then as if she just came to her senses she said, "Oh." She gave me a hand and pulled me up. I climbed up sheepishly. Yes I looked stupid.

"I thought you were some monster of a fish. Sorry," She said.

I pursed my lips and stared at her. I was offended.

Percy was in full battle position with riptide shining in the morning sunlight. "Where is it? Where's the monster?" He spoke half in sleep.

"There is no monster," I blurted. Before any one of them could question why they were drenched in water and why I was in the water, I said, "Anyway, land!" I gestured frantically towards the land which was only fifty feet away.

"Where are we exactly?" Annabeth asked.

"We'll find out," Percy replied.

We grabbed our supplies and walked away from the sea. I sighed of relief. I did not kill Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase. A smirk spread across my face, I walked with attitude. I wanted to dance but I decided against it. We found an outdoor café where we decided to have some breakfast. 'When you're a demigod you should eat proper meals to have enough energy,' said Annabeth when I refused to eat.

But eating bowlful of Ambrosia yet staying well integrated is naturally frowned upon, Annabeth. I thought.

Percy had a sandwich in his plate. He was about to chomp on it when an eagle came out of nowhere and grabbed the food out of his hands. "Hey!" Percy yelled. He stood up. The eagle did not fly away but kept flying in mid-air above us. A short curly haired girl came jumping towards us.

"Percy! Annabeth!" She beamed.

"Hazel!" They said in unison. They then looked up in the air. I followed their gaze. I might have blinked because instead of an eagle I saw a muscular guy land on twos on the ground. He had closely cropped hair. And oh my! He was Frank! Frank, the praetor of new Rome. Aaaaaahh.

And oh wait let me cry for a few hours. Hazel Levesque was standing right next to me! Oh I love the Romans! I gulped.

Frank and Hazel took seats. "Since you did not recognize me straight away you don't deserve this sandwich," Frank said.

Percy only scowled. "Nice to see you too Zhang!"

"What brings you here?" Hazel asked.

"We're on a quest." Annabeth replied.

"Ooh oh oh," Frank said.

"Yeah, the prophecy quite justifiably speaks about me. Haven't come across any monsters yet, you know. I'm bored," Percy said.

"Scared are they, of getting sent back to Tartarus," Hazel and Frank laughed. But a shadow spread across Percy and Annabeth's faces. It got quite awkward.

"And you are?" Frank asked me, desperately trying to change the topic.

I shifted in my seat, "I'm Delilah."

There was an awkward pause. Until Annabeth said, "And what are you two doing here anyway?"

"Just goofing around, ya know." Frank grinned.

Percy smiled.

"How's your DSTOMP going, Percy?" Hazel asked.

"Horrible," He replied.

They laughed. They looked like normal teenagers hanging out at cafes. I sighed. I wanted to sit there all day and laugh with them. But then I remembered, bring me back my piece until midnight.

A sharp ache went through my head. I considered revealing my vision to the others. But having visions must not be considered normal I supposed. Dream, I shall call it, I figured.

"I had a dream," I blurted out. All four demigods turned towards me. Schist! I should have rehearsed my lines first. I can't handle this much attention at a time. I cursed myself.

"I-I was in a cave and there was this cube which disappeared when I went near it." I paused to breathe. "And a voice spoke, I don't know whose, but it said it wanted something back by midnight. Some share that it had lost. 'To calm the God who has it lost'." I waited.

"There comes the deadline," Percy said.

"What's the prophecy?" Hazel asked.

"The children of the sea god

Shall fight all odds

To calm the god who has it lost.

Find the one who didn't die

And be different than a lie." Annabeth said.

"Wait. Who didn't die?" Frank scowled. "I mean, Thanatos sure took all the undead back after we released him from those chains."

Hazel coughed.

Frank blushed, "I'm thankful for you," he looked at her. "But c'mon who else did he leave behind. I burned away half of my firewood for him!" He slouched.

"Wait, we only have time till midnight and we still don't know what 68.43 % of the prophecy means!" Annabeth said, holding a calculator.

You brought a calculator on a quest. I shook my head mentally. Unbelievable.

The rest seemed to buy it as if it was totally normal. She looked like she could basically slice through a monster with her sword or do math, whatever comes first.

A harpy flew past my sight. She settled on an electricity pole that stood beside the café. I looked around in the sky. A few more harpies could be seen flying here and there. Just being there.

I remembered the time I once helped a harpy. It was not much. I just found it sprawled on the ground of the gardens of Olympus. It looked hurt. There was no one else in sight. So I just thought why not help it! And I used some of my Apollo skills as a healer. Luckily they worked, since I am a very bad healer I actually didn't expect them to. If there was anyone else who would catch me trying to heal, they'd straight away throw me out of Olympus. The last time I remember I healed someone, he almost died. Um actually he died. End of story.

Ever since I helped that one harpy (and got lucky about it) all of the harpy community signed a pact or something and since then harpies worship me like anything. Wherever I go, they follow me. I don't know what they get out of it but okay. It has come to a point that even my paintings have harpies lurking around in the background. Ugh!

Nobody knows about this yet. But I'm afraid if Apollo comes to know about this, would he be proud that I actually healed and succeeded or be mad about trying to heal even.

I decided not to think about it. Sometimes when I think a lot about a god, I accidently speak in their mind. Gods are naturally telepathic. And let me be clear children, it is so not cool. I know it sounded awesome in 'The Maze Runner', but thinking is the best privacy one can have, and I'm can't even afford that!

More harpies started to settle on poles and trees everywhere. My companions started to notice them too. Percy cracked his knuckles. "Such a beautiful day!" He beamed. "Wanna fight some harpies?"

"Why not!" Said Hazel as they all shot up in excitement.

Regardless of how much I wanted to fight them away too, they were the only ones who worshipped me. My only worshippers.

"No!" I blurted, not knowing what I was supposed to do next. All four demigods turned towards me. No I was not prepared for so much attention! "Let's not fight them," I pursed my lips. "Please?"

"Why not?" Percy queried.

"B-because," I tried to find something reasonable. "T-the Reason!"

"Which is?" Annabeth asked.

I looked around frantically. "Time?" I flinched. "The voice said we only have until midnight, remember? And we still have to find out what 66 uh 69 point whatever % of the prophecy means!" I spoke desperately.

Annabeth seemed to be convinced but the others didn't. Percy tried to question but he was cut by a voice coming from the other side of the street. It sounded like an argument among two old ladies. "Don't you say a word about my Chinese antiques, you idiot!" I turned to see her. I squinted. The speaker looked familiar, but who was she? I couldn't remember. She caught me staring at her. But when she looked at me it felt like she wasn't actually looking at me. Oh wait she was not looking at me but---

"Fai?" She said with disbelief.

The other lady went on arguing, taking advantage of her opponent's speechlessness, but the former one did not seem to care anymore, as she locked eyes with Frank.

Hey! A small cliff-hanger here. Keep reading on and hope for the best, my friend.
