The 100 : The duty of a leader

(Slow Pace) When he died, Leon wouldn't have imagined that he would have a second chance. A new world, a new life, stripped of memories of the past ,remembering only what he loved and nothing more, armed with nothing other than his guts and body , how will Leon survive in this world torn by nuclear war and ruled by primitive civilizations ? Note : I don't own The 100 or any other characters that may resemble in any kind of way any characters form various shows and games. If I were to say that I own something, that would be my idea of changing a world, but that's what fanfiction is ain't it?

Post Praimfaya Chapter 36

"They're not your people. Azgeda and the other clans are just a memory of a time long ago. There is only Wonkru, and there is no place in it for you."

Bellamy immediately cuts his sister off, causing all of the guards to react. "O, what's wrong with you? I know you two aren't exactly friends and that you have a bad history, but she's our ally now!"

This wasn't good for no one, especially for our friends that are still in Dyoza's hands. So before these two idiots could start a war between the grounders and our people, I decide to interfere by placing my hand on her shoulder before speaking.

"Octavia. Bellamy's right about Echo. She had proved herself, that's no longer an enemy of ours, even before Praimfaya."

"Out of all of the people here, I thought you would understand Leon." Octavia turns slightly, raising her voice to be heard by those around us as she slapped my hand away. "Wonkru, I banished this murderer from the bunker almost six years ago. My judgment still stands and I will not let anyone say otherwise!"

"O, please."

Surprisingly enough, Octavia turns back to her brother, stepping closer to deliver her last message with a threatening whisper. "All three of you have 24 hours. If you are still here by then, all of you will have to fight in the arena."

Her words shocked me more than it surprised me. Yes, I knew that Octavia had changed during the five long years in the bunker, but hearing her threatening to send us to the arena was not exactly something I'd ever dreamed of hearing from her. To be honest, Miller did warn us that Octavia changed dramatically down there, and sadly not for the best. The girl we once knew, the Octavia who fought for peace, seemed lost in time. Maybe being a leader, making sure that the clans don't slaughter themselves, and keeping the food rationed for everyone had taken their toll on her.

And just as I expected, her brother, never one to back down from something related to his baby sister, grabbed her hand. Octavia! Octavia, stop. It was a long time ago, you just can't cast her out! She won't survive! O, please! Just let me explain!"

Octavia ignored him pushing him aside as two of the more burly grounders stepped in front of him, as Blodreina was fully intent on staying true to her word, but before the grounders could touch Bellamy or Echo, I push myself through them, sending the two idiots to the ground before stopping in front of Blodreina.

"Is that really what you want Blodreina? To cast out your family? To see your own blood and flesh be killed because his baby sister had issues with a girl that had already, on multiple occasions apologizes for doing her fucking job?"

She stopped and glanced at me, throwing me a cold, distant look, almost as if she lost all of her affection for us. "No one speaks to Blodreina like this, Leon. Not even you. I can forgive you once, but the next time you will die."

"And who will kill me? None of your men are able to last more than a few seconds against me. Indra's injured and frankly, even if you might attack me, the result will still be the same. A thousand grounders tried to kill me, and a thousand found the hard way that I'm not an easy target. Think about Lincoln, do you even think he would love to see you like this?"

"Never say that name again!" Octavia yelled, her voice echoing through the desolate streets of Polis. She was in pain remembering Lincoln and angered that I dared to say that.

Bellamy was about to say something when we all heard a sonic boom, similar to that of a ship landing. And as I look up in the sky there it was, Dyoza's ship slowly making its way towards Polis, but from what I'd seen, Dyoza wasn't here for war, no she didn't want to lose any more people or lose the valley. But that didn't stop the people from panicking and running around trying to find cover. Just as the crowd was, starting to run towards the bunker's entrance, Octavia took a few steps away, ready to run down into the bunker when out of nowhere she stopped and turned back. "Bellamy, get in the bunker."

"Not without Echo and Leon."

That hurt Octavia a lot more than my words as she stood there in disbelief that he chose the traitors over his own sister. Cooper grabs Octavia's arm, getting her attention as she pointed, "Blodreina, look!"

Almost everyone who was still on the surface stopped whatever they were doing and turned towards the sky, watching as a giant metal crate fell from the ship, before the ship turns and flies away.

As I expected this wasn't an attack, at least not one that would result in immediate bloodshed. A few seconds later, the metal crates fall to the ground slowly, using their parachutes to slow them down, before they hit the ground and the sides pop open. The first thing everyone saw was hundreds of apples rolling out before more and more fruits and vegetables follow.

Suddenly, the rather familiar voice of Dyoza came from one of the crates, scaring all of the grounders away from them.

"Loyal members of Wonkru, I, Colonel Diyoza, extend an opportunity for lasting peace. I am aware of the hardships you have endured, the hunger that gnaws at your bellies, and the weariness that plagues your hearts under Octavia's reign. However, a new path lies before you now. Surrender your weapons, leave Wonkru behind, and join us in Shallow Valley. We have plenty of food and shelter for those seeking a better life. When our ship returns tonight, head for the wastelands. Anyone waiting for us outside the ruins will be rescued. But come unarmed. If Octavia attacks our ship, we will retaliate against your city with lethal force. We're watching everything, always."

Before Dyoza could say all of her speech, Octavia grabs a weapon from one of her men and swings it towards the speaker, knocking the antenna off the top and ending the transmission, but sadly for our commander, the other crate finished the speech making everyone think twice about their choice. "There is a place in the valley for all of us, there's no need for mindless slaughter. We all can live in peace, so please choose wisely."

That was it. That was the thing that made Octavia mad as she turned towards Cooper and shouted at Cooper. "Get everyone into the bunker. Now."
