Ch.1 Birth Of A King And The Deal With The Devil

Feng Jiang was born to the two most powerful cultivators in the cosmos; his birth was followed by countless phoenix dancing and thousands of dragons swimming in the air.

As to welcome the birth of a king, The heaven and earth shook with joy.

Auspicious clouds gather around the house and the baby boy, as if playing with the young king.

Yet what they didn't realize is that the child whose destiny ordained him to be a king was born talentless—a boy whose birth even excited the heaven and the earth had no talent in the path of cultivation. This is the tragic past of Fang Jiang—his blessing and his curse.

4 Years later

On This fateful day, Planet Earth faced the biggest world-wide earthquake that it had ever faced. In the Beautiful country of China, two celestial cosmic bodies entered the earth's atmosphere and, seemingly defying the laws of physics, disappeared in the fabric of space and reality without detection.

The celestial object that had vanished in the earth's atmosphere suddenly appeared above the Eastern Chinese province of Henan, appeared above the legendary yellow river, and slowed down into a decent. The mystical light that covered this mysterious object slowly dissipated and revealed a four-year-old child aptly named Feng Jiang.

The name was given to symbolize Feng Jiang's parents attributes, with Feng representing "The Wind" and Jiang meaning "River/Water". Zhan Jiang, Feng Jiang's father, named him this so that his son would be as fast as the wind like himself and just as calm and deadly as his mother, who was like a river, calm and collective yet capable of destruction.

Slowly, Feng Jiang opened his eyes and regained consciousness. Even though Feng Jiang was still just a 4-year-old child, his mind was as sharp as an enchanted god's blade. Feng Jiang quickly surveyed his surroundings and discovered three things: first, that he was on top of a Mystical Golden lotus that was surrounded by a mysterious yet powerful power that reminded him of his mother's embrace. Feng Jiang quickly shook off that feeling and observed the second thing he discovered: that he was in the middle of a vast river that had seemingly no end.

But it was the third that shook him to his core; he felt like multiple celestial bodies had just collided in his body and were rupturing him from the inside out. He discovered that he could not detect that familiar energy that he had grown up surrounded by—the illusory spiritual power. Even though Feng Jiang could not cultivate like the others, his body could still absorb spiritual power, and unlike others, he could do it without limitation. As the only child of the two most powerful beings in the cosmos, he had heavenly treasures for food, immortal elixirs for water, godly treasures as toys, and the world's as his playground.

The sensation of it being missing not only made Feng Jiang feel weaker than he had ever felt in his life but also left him in pain, as Feng Jiang's body had used spiritual power as the foundation of its existence; without spiritual power, his powerful body became his own bane. Feng Jiang felt unbearable pain searing his internal organs and his nervous system.

Feng Jiang started to bleed from all seven of his orifices; his eyes bled crimson-red blood like a fountain. Feng Jiang's body had started to crumble from the inside out, and Feng Jiang had no way to stop it. For the first time in his life, Feng Jiang felt fear. He felt death looming atop his head, ready to take his life the moment he stopped persisting and stopped resisting the pain. Feng Jiang, was unwilling to give up, He let out a blood-curdling screech in desperation. No matter how sharp his mind was, Feng Jiang was still a child, and he desperately called out for his parents.

Yet all he received was silence, and this silence left him feeling gloomy and hateful. He remembered everything that had happened since his birth. The dance of the phoenixes, the welcoming of heaven and earth He remembered the love of all the gods and the deities in the heavenly realm, but he also remembered the night it was all taken away from him.

His talent, His birthright, His bloodline, and his sacred treasures—but most importantly, the love of his parents—were all taken away from him because of that power, a power that transcended anything he had ever felt. The power had the capability of avoiding his parents detection even though it was in his body. It was that purplish gold orb that violated the laws and rules of the universe that became his curse.

His birth should have led the universe into a new era of prosperity; under his reign, all would be happy, but that force took it all away, And his ever-loving parents started to abandon him. It had been a long time since he had felt the loving embrace of his mother, which is why he craved it so much—the loving gaze of his father; he wanted it all back.

But just because of something that he had no control over, he was abandoned. Just for being talentless, he was left alone to die in this cursed world. He knew that his parents were aware that any cultivator whose cultivation wasn't strong enough to create their own world and spiritual power wouldn't be able to survive here for long, yet they left him here, which could mean only one thing: they wanted him to die; they no longer cared for him.

The pain of betrayal hurts more than the inner collapse of his body. For the first time in his life, he felt hate and anger, and right when he did, he felt the shackles that had existed on his body since that cursed night were removed. He could breathe again, and his mind surged with power and started to mend his broken body, but this time it did something that surpassed even his wildest imagination.

It tore his organs, his blood cells, his bones, and his muscles—everything into particles smaller than atoms—but he didn't feel pain because his consciousness was wrapped in the same power that took everything from him. Without Fang Jiang realizing it, the power started to mess with his mind. It was a test—a test to see if Feng Jiang deserved a second chance at life.

If Feng Jiang passed it, he would receive the power of the orb and the power to surpass his parents to become the strongest in the world, but if he failed, the orb would leave with everything it took from Feng Jiang.

This was the deal with the devil.

Feng Jiang flashed through everything since his birth and said, "I vow to seek vengeance upon those who have discarded me." Feng Jiang 'promised himself to surpass them in power, surpass them in prestige, and surpass the very lineage they cling to so dearly, no matter the cost'.

And signed the deal with the devil himself, and so begins the trial.
