Ye Shuxin only married him all because she wanted to survive in this cruel world. 

She didn't mind becoming pregnant as long as she can marry a handsome rich man. The hell, who wouldn't want to marry a rich bastard?

The red card on her hand was only a ticket that made her feel accomplished.

"Let's now discuss our contract" Jin Mingze's deep voice was heard.

She raised her head and looked at the handsome man before her.

They were currently in a restaurant to discuss their terms.

"One year." Ye Shuxin said, smiling a bit. "We can have a divorce after one year. At least let me take care of my child for three months before I leave."

Although one year was actually enough, enough to make him fall for her. At least that was what she thought.

Jin Mingze didn't see anything wrong with it so he nodded in agreement, "Alright."

"Here, this is a draft of the terms and conditions I have for this marriage." Ye Shuxin handed him the draft.

Jin Minge took the file and scanned through it.

Just like what they agreed on, it was written on the draft that their marriage is only valid for one year and that the divorce papers should be prepared in the third month after their marriage.

Aside from those, it was also written that they are not allowed to fall in love with each other. They are not to share a room. He was not allowed to touch her in any intimate way without her permission and the last one was; they have to keep their marriage a secret from others.

Her terms were favorable for him so he didn't have any complaints.

"How about you? Do you want to include something in this contract?" Ye Shuxin asked before she took a sip from her wine.

"There's one."

"Let's hear it out then."

Jin Mingze turned his blank gaze at her, "You are not allowed to come near my daughter."

"D...daughter?"

"You're... already married?" She couldn't help but ask.

"Yes."

"Then why did you agree on marrying me if you are already married?"

Also, why hasn't she heard anything about this? She looked into articles related to him and being married or having a daughter was never mentioned even once!

He was quiet for a while, not giving her the answer to her question.

Since polygamy wasn't allowed in the country, there could only be two possible reasons. It was either he divorced his previous wife or she died somewhere in the middle of their marriage.

"She's gone."

"Oh..." So she was right. "I'm sorry about that..."

"It's fine."

"I won't approach your daughter but don't blame me if she ends up approaching me instead." She smiled at him, "Do you want me to ignore her instead?"

"No."

"Then?"

Jin Mingze ended up sighing heavily. Knowing his daughter, Ye Shuxin was right, his baby girl might end up approaching her instead.

"How old is she?"

"She turned four this year."

He looked at her, he was trying to read through her but Ye Shuxin's smiling face unexpectedly brought a familiar warmth in his chest.

That smile was the prettiest thing he has seen in a while, for it extended to her eyes and deep into his soul.

The feelings that smile brought was similar to the smile that the woman he once loved gave.

Her smile distracted him from the slyness that was seen in her eyes.

"Oh my, how cute! I can't wait to see her~"

He has a four-fucking-year-old daughter? Ah... she was sure that she was going to be the noisy and annoying type. Damn it.

It looked like she has to pretend to like his daughter for a year.

It was hard to read Jin Mingze's blank look. If he was displeased, he would knit his brows together. If he was angry, he would only glare at others. It was just... that glare was enough to send the other person to Antarctica.

She doesn't really know how to please a person like him.

"I don't want you to get close to my daughter." He directly said, without even blinking an eye. One thing was for sure, Jin Mingze was hardening his heart to her.

"Is it because of the divorce we're about to have after a year?"

"Yes."

Ye Shuxin chuckled, "If that's the case, then you don't have to worry."

"What do you mean?"

"I am now your wife. We didn't marry each other out of love but it's not like we can't be friends after this, right? Also, I am an expert when it comes to dealing with children." Lies.

"As long as you allow me to become her friend even after our divorce then we won't have a problem."

Jin Mingze was hesitant with what she offered. More like, he wasn't sure if he should trust her or not.

"Well?"

"Alright. I will give this draft to my lawyer and by the end of this week, I will hand you the final document for signing." He looked at her, "You can move in my place tomorrow."
