Gathering Info [2]

The four major kingdoms of Asval were Alex, Trumpstein, Gathotmonva, and Capriscorn.

Among the four, we were inside the Kingdom of Alex. Run by the royal family and his noble vassals.

The forest where we were currently in, the forest of Gord, was a place where monsters roamed freely, but despite its dangers, it was somehow resolved thanks to the guardian deity, which was Fenrir, now Fenil.

Its territory is a cave that is oriented toward precious ores that many people wish to claim for themselves. But due to the presence of the fenrir, none of them tried to pursue it.

But thanks to that individual, defeating the fenrir became possible. It was due to the absorption gem the individual placed that made the fenrir lose its power day by day.

Therefore, as adventurers who served directly to that individual, the Wild Life party was tasked with killing the weakened fenrir and bringing its corpse back to the royal family, claiming that they had successfully defeated the obstacle that hindered the kingdom's prosperity.

The kingdom of Alex has been in dire need of funds for the last several years. With that, they planned everything in order to claim the cave that was filled with expensive ores, resolving the kingdom's financial problem.

This is what I've learned so far from Arthur's explanation. He told me everything there was to know about their situation.

The fact that they were blinded by greed made them act hastily towards me in order to achieve their goals of becoming wealthy nobles.

Despite knowing my strength, they still tried and fought against me.

Arthur then continued, mentioning different names, cities, towns, and people of whom I ought to be wary.

The Alex kingdom has three dukedoms, circling around the capital of Alex as it acts as a fortress wall in order to protect the capital and his highness.

Meanwhile, in the south lies the forest of Gord. An area occupied by monsters that roam freely within their territories. But with the appearance of Fenil, they were forced to move further south, away from the main forest.

Gord was a vast forest, simply comparable to the capital of Alex. It was still a place where mysteries lie since they have marked the deepest parts as uncharted due to the monsters.

Near Gord is the town of Greyhound, and above it lies the estate of Count Seldom. A much bigger city than the town of Greyhound, which is managed by the Baron, who was the feudal lord.

Arthur and the others have always lived in the territory of Count Seldom, where a large forest also resides. It was also filled with monsters since that forest is connected through the borders of the neighboring kingdom, Trumpstein.

So adventurers often gather at Count Seldom's estate since it has a lot of quests suitable for adventurers to prevent monster outbreaks.

And there are people he mentioned that I ought to be wary of.

The peak swordsman of the north, Dragul, is a giant man who carries the blood of the swordsaint from the legends.

He possesses an incredible talent for swordsmanship, and he is also unrivaled throughout the entire kingdom when it comes to swords.

Therefore, he was added to the list of people that I should be cautious about.

The next was a woman who was entitled to be the strongest mage, Dianna. An instructor in the Imperial Academy inside the vicinity of the Capital of Alex.

She was known to be shut-in, shy, and oblivious. But despite that hearsay, her achievements were not to be belittled.

She is the one who has profound knowledge of modern magic. The embodiment of a sage, is what they call her. She is the one who produced an invincible barrier that circles around the kingdom. A protection wall that no outsider could easily pass through.

So in order for the other kingdoms to visit, they would need to send a letter of visit, making infiltration seemingly impossible.

And the third were the prophets, known as the pastors. They have incredible knowledge of the prophet's magic. They are capable of healing people who are on the verge of death. But sadly, these people are somewhat greedy. Paying is a must for them in order for you to get healed, while they make it seem like an act of donation to the church.

The pastors are not really in a good relationship with the royal family since they are greedy bastards who don't care about anything and just satiate their own greed for wealth.

And lastly, the monarchs.

It was a shock to me to hear about the Monarchs.

A new piece of information that definitely shocked the hell out of me. They possess incredible power; they lurk behind the shadows of the four kingdoms. There are seven monarchs who maintain the balance of the continent.

These monarchs have their own territories within Asval, but none of the people dare invade their territories. Even as much as visiting for alliance negotiations.

Since these seven individuals have a rule to follow, they cannot meddle with the continent's affairs. They are only allowed to protect the continent when catastrophe strikes.

A legend was foretold centuries ago that seven people would be granted extraordinary powers in order to save the continent from its demise.

And among the legend's causes of demise were the slavirs, who were known as the villainous people that carried the curse of this continent's demise.

Therefore, their being treated as revolutionary by the four kingdoms wasn't just a small problem to ignore since the people believed that legend.

Leaving the slavirs to roam freely caused a massive panic among the kingdom's people.

And what is a Slavir? Arthur told me that Slavir is a rare class, similar to the classes Arthur and the others possess.

Once you turn five in this world, a class is given to you by the world itself. Meaning you will be given a profound knowledge of what your class is about, leaving the slavirs to know an ancient knowledge that isn't written in the books.

Which made it simple to track down slavirs, the potential threats to the continent, and slay them.

But this information was still vague for me; in order to really know the truth, I still had to ask the slavirs since they might know something.

The legend that was foretold might be fraud in order to manipulate the people and take control over the potential increase of the slavir class.

But still, a part of it somehow seems true since they all possess incredible mana energy and rare abilities. Their posing a threat is somewhat plausible if they start pointing their hatred towards the kingdoms.

But still, there are seven monarchs capable of eradicating them. So why aren't they moving as per the legend? Since their jobs were to save this continent's demise, they should have eradicated the slavirs long ago. Leaving me to conclude that something might be off about it.

I still need to acquire knowledge from both parties, the normal-class people and the slavirs.

That is all I've gained from what Arthur and the others told me.

[Report: A countermeasure for the curse magic has been generated.]

[Requesting to use the prophet's magic on the five individuals.]

Please do." I said through thought communication, giving Grand the authority to remove the curse that was placed on the Wild Life Party.

A bright light erupted, causing their bodies to shine radiantly, forcing Fenil, who stood behind me, to cover her eyes.

I stood firmly, watching over the process of healing, and noticed that the five of them felt rejuvenated after the radiant light dimmed and dissolved.

[Notice: The matter has been resolved.]

[Curse magic has been successfully removed.]

"What just happened?" Arthur muttered, glancing over his hands filled with surprise.

"I feel rejuvenated; it's as if I've been cleansed." said Rin, who felt joyous.

"What are you talking about? You look like a pervert right now!" Lucas yelled, confronting the joyous Rin, who somehow acted with pleasure.

"Eh? How dare you, Lucas!" shouted Rin.

Meanwhile, Tate and Rosalie were both astonished and could not utter any words, leaving Arthur to walk closer and ask.

"What happened to us, Sir Heinz?" His eyes were hinting at curiosity as his voice sounded eager.

"I just dispelled your curse, the one that prevented you from exploiting your master's identity." I said.

"What? But how?" he asked, seemingly surprised.

"Don't ask me questions; I'm the one asking here." I said in a cold demeanor.

Arthur simply nodded and went silent while the other four stood quietly behind him.

"Now tell me, who is this person you speak of?" I asked. My voice sounded chilling and ominous, leaving them to gulp.

Arthur sweated, scared that I might have lied to him about the curse's removal. But despite that, he glanced at his comrades and smiled.

Turning around, he looked back at me and uttered. "Her name is Jeanel von Alex. She is the sole princess of the royal family."

I looked at his eyes, noticing no signs of lying as silence occurred.
