Encountering Slavirs

Three unknown individuals were lurking, mushing over the forest's grass, trying to hide themselves in such a way that they'd become unnoticeable. They were there just after the fenrir became unconscious; it seemed they were related to the fenrir's wounded state.

Were they the ones that harmed the fenrir?" I wondered, glancing at the direction in which the unknown men were hiding.

"It seems we've been caught."

"I see, he has good eyes."

"You mean horrifying eyes?"

"Stop blabbering; we've failed our ambush."

I stood firmly on my ground, listening to their conversation. Their voices were as hunky as a man with a goat beard and muscular physique.

"How did you know?" a voice asked. I could not discern who it was amongst the three.

"I have my ways of knowing." I said in a dignified and unwavering tone, showing them I was confident.

Silence occurred, and the bushes started rummaging as three men dressed in black, fully covered cloaks with different types of masks came out.

I observed their movements; they were wide open, yet I could not find any openings.

It's as if my instincts were blocked, and I could not fight and win against them by normal means. But I'm not normal.

I began releasing my morph gun, transforming it into a smaller object, turning it into a pistol, and holding it tightly.

They noticed as I changed my stance and began raising their hands.

"We do not wish to fight with you."

Huh? Only their level and mana energy were determined by Grand's analysis?" I mumbled in my head, trying to ask Grand what was going on with his analysis.

[Notice: Their appearances are still unknown; subject analysis cannot be determined.]

I see, so in order to know them, I should remove their covers?"

[No, the tutorial has ended.]

[The Privileges that have been granted have now been removed.]

Eh?"

"Hey? We're talking to you?" a man amongst the three uttered with their hands above their heads.

"Wait." I said, giving them a hand gesture.

They looked at each other as if they were dumbfounded.

What do you mean? So your analysis won't work now?" How can we determine our enemies now?" I angrily said through thought communication.

[Analysis will still work for some things, such as items, skills that are cast, and the theory process.]

I see, so knowing the individuals identities are not among those would work."

I sighed and turned around to see the three.

"What brings you here? Were you the ones that harmed the fenrir?" I asked, my tone sounding deceitful.

"Well, yes."

"We were the ones that harmed her."

"But it was to protect her."

I then interfered and asked. "Protect her? By hurting her to the point that she fell unconscious?"

One of the three stepped forward and explained.

"We were trying to put her asleep in order to remove the absorption gem that was intact in her wound. But suddenly she tried to attack us, and we were forced to try and subdue her with magic."

"Yes, due to the absorption gem, her consciousness was fading, and we did not harm her in a way that would give her a wound."

After they talked, I raised my hand, signaling them to stop.

"Then what about that absorption gem? Who placed that on her? And why was she bleeding profusely?" I asked.

"It was not us." one of the three uttered.

"Slavirs." I said, pointing out the culprit.

The three of them looked at each other after hearing what I'd said.

"Eh? You mean us?"

"We didn't do it, though."

"Yeah, how could we do it? We don't even know such magic."

Eh?" I flinched, comprehending the situation.

"Hey, don't tell me..."

"Yes you got it! We are slavirs!" They all said loudly.

My expression turned merely indescribable, for I could not believe it.

"So the ones that were known as a revolutionary threat to the kingdoms were you three?" I asked.

"What do you mean? We're not the threat to the kingdoms; they are the ones trying to enslave us. We just escaped and rescued our comrades from their gruesome feats.

"Yes! We never even started any revolution; we just wanted to escape their grasps and live in peace."

Their stories don't sit well and add up with the party's stories, which were told to me earlier.

I don't know who's telling the truth, but somehow it's really bothering me.

The slavirs did not show any hostility toward me, so I quietly unsummoned my morph gun.

"The humans must have spread bad rumors about us; how could they."

"Yeah, humans truly are detestable."

"That's why I don't want to go near any settlements where humans reside."

Their conversations seemed a bit girly and tactful to me. Their hunky voices don't match up to their complaints.

"So why are you guys dressed like that?" I asked, pointing out their masks.

"Well, it's because..."

"Hey, you mustn't tell him! He's still a human."

"Yeah, he might be a spy to lure us out."

They began arguing, trying to uncover my identity in a whispering tone, though I could hear them clearly.

Slavirs, whom I imagined as very dangerous individuals, turned out to be totally different.

What's going on?" I mumbled in my head while looking at the three whispering to each other.

"But his eyes—they don't belong to a human's!"

Are they arguing if I'm a human?" I wondered, blatantly looking at them.

"Hey." I muttered.

They began flinching upon hearing my voice and began noticing the overwhelming aura I exuded.

"I'm not here for your jokes; tell me exactly what happened to the fenrir." I said intimidatingly, hoping that they would talk about what happened.

They started trembling; I could sincerely feel their fear even when their appearances were covered.

The taller one with the sad mask stepped forward and stood before me; he then began explaining.

While they were patrolling the forest, they encountered the fenrir's abode. Due to their curiosity, they forced their way in and entered the fenrir's cave.

Thus, finding the fenrir in a cruel state where an absorption gem was intact on its wound bleeding profusely while it suffered and endured the pain as its consciousness was fading slowly,

With that, the three of them instantly emerged from the shadows, hoping to help and save the fenrir, who was known as a mythical creature.

But after the fenrir noticed them, it began breathing fireballs, aimed at them, and lit the entire cave with its explosions.

And with the eagerness they had to help, they tried to cast and use sleeping magic in hopes it'd make the fenrir unconscious. But the fenrir's will was too strong for weak sleeping magic. Therefore, its aggression continued until it sniffed and started running outside of its territory, which led to where we are.

"So that's the end of our story." the slavir said, shrugging his shoulders.

I see, if it's true. Then the fenrir could've thought of them as a threat that tried to harm it, and in order to escape, the fenrir ran." I mumbled in my head.

[Notice: The fenrir has awoken.]

I immediately turned around and noticed the fenrir's body shaking as it tried to stand up.

"Hey fenrir, it's us!"

"We do not wish to harm you!"

"Yeah, we just wanted to help you."

The slavirs began spouting, trying to convince the fenrir that had just woken up.

I could not utter a single word, for I had been astonished by the fenrir's beautiful gaze.

Even though it was a huge wolf-like creature, It somehow looked beautiful in my eyes.

"Thank you." the fenrir muttered, lowering its head before me.

"Eh? It spoke!" One of the slavirs shouted.

The fenrir's voice somehow sounded angelic, a bit similar to Grand's voice.

[Notice: We do not have the same voice, for my angelic voice cannot be compared to that of a mere dog.]

Oh yeah, my bad." I said through thought communication, forgetting that Grand somehow hates being compared.

"I see, you're completely healed now." I uttered.

"And slavirs, I am sorry for misunderstanding; I could not bear the excruciating pain that my anger could not be hold." the fenrir stated, apologizing to the three slavirs.

With that, I concluded that the slavirs were undoubtedly telling the truth, which somehow made me think that what they told about them, escaping the grasps of the mistreatment of the people, could somehow also be true.

"But why did you run away?" I asked, staring at its beautiful eyes that captivated me.

The fenrir glanced over me from head to toe and said. "I somehow detected an immense mana energy that no human could be capable of handling; therefore, I ran, hoping that individual would save me from my suffering. Hence, my instincts were true; you have truly saved me. So once again, let me thank you."

My heart began beating fast, leaving me to wonder what was happening.

Why do I feel hot?" I wondered.

The slavirs began cheering, yelling that the fenrir had finally regained stability.

"If it does not bother you, may I ask for the name of my savior?" The fenrir asked.

I coughed, clearing my thoughts, and replied.

"My name is Heinz Kruger; you can call me Heinz."

"Master Heinz. I see, what a unique name." the fenrir said.

"Do you have a name?" I asked, staring at its beautiful appearance.

"I do not have a name, Master Heinz. But if you are willing to bestow me a name, I will gladly accept it and follow you." the fenrir stated, leaning its head lower before me.

"Woah, did the fenrir just propose an oath of loyalty?"

"It seems it piqued its interest in the human Heinz."

"Heinz is a nice guy; I guess the fenrir would be safe."

Hearing the slavirs speak in a whispering tone made me wonder what they meant about an oath of loyalty. Leaving me to remember the fenrir's monster trait, saying that it was loyal.

I see, so that's how it is."

With that, I nodded and uttered. "How about Fenil? I'm not really good with names though; I hope you'd understand."

"Fenil, what a wonderful name." The fenrir said, and its body began glowing radiantly.

"What's happening?" I muttered, looking at the fenrir that shone before me.

[Force Growth has been activated.]

[Subject: Fenil has evolved.]

Eh? Evolved? Just by naming?" I asked through thought communication.

[Yes, Naming sequences can activate force growth and strengthen the bond between master and subject, adding them to your geneology.]

[Mana energy has been deducted.]

[Fenil has evolved successfully.]

I stared at Fenil as the light began dimming, captivated by Fenil's newly obtained form.

I was mesmerized to see a beautiful woman with fierce eyes standing before me, dressed in a furry coat with silver undergarments and purple, beautiful hair that reached her buttocks.

Fenil took a bow and uttered. "I will follow you forever, my master." gazing at me with her beautiful eyes that made my heartbeat race.

"I'll be in your care." I stuttered, unable to comprehend what was happening to me.

Am I inlove?" I wondered, since I never felt or knew what love meant.

Thus, I completely forgot about the three slavirs who were standing in awe behind me.
