A Dragon?

Thirty minutes had passed, yet here I am, still stuck in my thoughts, comprehending the situation I was in.

How did I get here? How in the world did I get transported to another world?

How did I become a child? How is this all possible?

"I'm a soldier; I led people and fought for my country, and yet, how is this happening?!" I asked myself. What was happening to me?

My thoughts rummaged through me as I walked back and forth near the cliff. The sounds of waterfalls gushing echoed and reverberated through my surroundings while a large and mesmerizing roar occurred.

"What was that?"

I stopped thinking such useless thoughts and observed the place. It was a quiet and yet peaceful area, which I got transported to.

Trees filled with different and unknown fruits were all I could see, and beyond them were grass and more trees.

Should I go deeper?" I wondered and stared at the area in front of me.

"Huh?"

"What is this angelic yet terrifying voice talking about? It seems to be happening inside my head."

[Race: Human - Male]

A weird holographic tabloid appeared in front of me. It somehow calculated my entire existence as If I were inside a video game.

"What the hell?" I mumbled, staring at my very own status.

I somehow subconsciously said, "Summon Gun?"

A blue, translucent light shone in front of me, slowly forming into a stock M4A1 with no added attachments.

Without uttering a word, I grabbed the gun subconsciously and held it like a newborn trainee that just passed his training.

"Woah, it's so heavy."

[Appraising wielded weapon: Gun]

[Name: M4A1]

[Rank: ???]

[Custom: None]

[Ammo: 35/Infinite]

[Durability: Infinite]

Strange scriptures somehow appeared above the gun I was holding, but somehow I was able to understand them. It was information about the Gun I was holding.

I then tried to remove the ammunition, but I wasn't able to. It was stuck as if it were glued and was one with the gun itself.

I began aiming, raising the gun and aiming at the trees that were in front of me, and with a flick of my fingertip, I began shooting at the trees as if I were in target practice.

The gunshots sounded the same, but there was no recoil at all. The sensation felt different when I held the original gun.

This somehow feels nostalgic and a bit different at the same time.

As I shot continuously, the bullets that came out of the gun somehow disappeared and turned to ashes, leaving no tracks behind.

After shooting a few, the ammunition was empty, and I then remembered the skill I had, which I saw earlier, and muttered, "Motionless reload."

The gun brightened a bit and was somewhat restocked.

"What the heck? If this existed on earth, I think guns would be awfully terrifying."

Without any consent, I rapidly shot the trees and practiced my accuracy. With unlimited ammo, it somehow felt enjoyable. Especially when there was no recoil that hurdled my teenage body.

The sounds of gunshots occurred rapidly while I enjoyed myself and shot the trees, making fruits fall off at every shot I made.

"Haha, this is epic. I feel like I'm inside a videogame at this point. Unlimited ammo, no recoils, I'm basically cheating haha!" I uttered with excitement, leaving the fact that I was a thirty-three-year-old calm and collected individual before.

Just as I was enjoying shooting random trees, a large silhouette appeared behind me. The fact that my body stiffened made me realize what was standing behind me.

Such gunshot noises would really attract attention, especially since I've been shooting for a long time now.

I slowly turned around while gulping. Then a loud sniff happened to push me, making me fall to the ground.

As I raised my head, I witnessed the dragon's face. It was the scariest thing I've ever seen and fazed me beyond repair.

My mouth could not utter a single word while being looked down upon by the dragon that stood beyond me.

"U-uh..."

"Human, how did you come here?"

"Huh?"

"I'm asking a question."

Silence occurred as we stared off.

"The dragon spoke?"

"Was I just hearing things?" I mumbled, staring at the red-scaled dragon that stood in front of me.

"Human! How did you come here? Were you sent by the Royal army to subjugate me?" The dragon yelled angrily without moving its mouth, which made me think of such unnecessary thoughts in front of a threat.

"What are you talking about? And why is your mouth not moving? I can hear your voice, but your actions don't add up!"

"Huh? You don't even know telepathy?" The dragon asked, looking down at Heinz, who, from his perspective, had the size of an ant.

[Analyzing...]

Huh? Analyzing?" Heinz mumbled in his head.

[Analysis Complete: Displaying Data]

[Name: Greyskim]

[Age: 2,000]

[Title: Obsidian Dragon]

[Level: 5,000]

[Race: Dragon - Male]

[Mana Energy: 7,000/7,000]

"Greyskim? Obsidian Dragon? Level 5000?" Heinz muttered subconsciously after seeing the displayed data in front of his eyes.

"How do you know my name, human? I have never told any being my name! And what's with that level 5000 you've mentioned? And yes, I am the Obsidian Dragon, entitled, and the owner of the floating islands!" said Greyskim, who was a bit arrogant and confused at the same time.

Does he not have a system-like helper that can analyze too?" Heinz mumbled in his head, leaving Greyskim thinking thoroughly about what Heinz was thinking.

"Hey child, I am talking to you. How dare an inferior species defy me and ignore my words? Do you perhaps want to die?" Greyskim said, releasing a pressurizing aura that somewhat suffocated Heinz, making him unable to breathe properly.

"Uh, I'm sorry! I don't mean no harm! I just got here!" Heinz responded, breathing heavily as the aura pressured him as if it were an unstable gravity flow that pressed him down.

Greyskim removed the aura he had released and stared at the baffled Heinz with his crimson-red eyes.

"So, how in the world did you know my name? And why are you here? At the top island of the floating islands?" Asked Greyskim with an intimidating look in his eyes, pressuring Heinz to spout everything that he wanted to hear.

Just then, Heinz, who had no other choice but to tell the truth, started speaking.

Telling Greyskim the entire story of how he ended up here.

"So basically, you're an adult? And you're from another world called Earth?" Greyskim asked, a bit clueless and unable to accept the words that came out of Heinz's mouth.

"Yes, I am. But after getting teleported here, I somehow ended up turning into a child. I don't even know how or why I got sent here." Heinz replied with a dissatisfied expression on his face.

"The fact that you got transported seems unrealistic. For as long as I've lived, I've never encountered someone like you who got transported from another world." said Greyskim.

"I, too, cannot believe what just happened. Especially when I lived in a more different world filled with realistic things rather than fantasy." Heinz said, letting out a long sigh.

"Fantasy? What's that?"

Well, If I were to tell him that his existence were mere fantasy stories, I'm sure he'd get enraged." Heinz mumbled in his head, wearing an anxious expression.

Heinz then stood up from the ground and wiped off the dirt on his loose clothes.

"What should I do now?" He asked, staring at Greyskim, who overshadowed his entire entity.

"What should you do?"

"Yes, Now that I'm here, I don't know where to go, especially when I'm stuck on this floating island."

"Well, for starters, this place is off-limits. No inferior species can ever step foot on my domain as well as even reach the gates below. If you want to go to the human settlements, I'm sure you'll need to fly down for more than a hundred thousand feet just to reach the surface."

"Eh? How am I supposed to do that? Do I look like I have wings?"

"Then what do you want me to do? Let you ride on my back and land you safely on the surface? Are you for real? I am a dragon, boy, don't you dare try and order me to bring you to the surface." Greyskim said, hinting at Heinz not to attempt asking for help.

"Ehh???" Heinz spoke, wearing a face befitting a dunce.

"Don't ehhh, me! I should just eat you up since you're a trespasser!" said Greyskim, who felt annoyed by Heinz's expression.

But just as they were talking, a large roar occurred, making Heinz shiver on the spot while Greyskim raised his head and stared beyond the skies.

"What was that?" Heinz muttered, unable to grasp why his body shivered in fear at a mere roar.

"It looks like I've got visitors. You stay here, boy, and don't even dare to come out or you'll die." Greyskim said in a serious manner before flying, leaving Heinz stiffening on the ground as wind passed by him.

Heinz slowly raised his head and glanced at the sky, only to see a battalion of dragons flying in the sky, and a large black-scaled dragon was seen in front of the smaller ones, confronting Greyskim in the sky as both of them roared ferociously, which echoed throughout the place.
