Another meeting

Reeve paused, as he remembered something. He asked, "Wait a minute, how do you know all this information?"

"Most of the information I gave you, was taught to us at the academy. There are some things that I'm not allowed to say of course."

"Eh? If you wanted to get revenge on Soren's parents, why did you agree to rescue him back then?"

"Well, if I had refused, you would have probably refused to teach me how to fight like you. Besides, I don't blame him for his parents' mistakes!"

"Oh, I see. So, since Soren's parents are dead, and you're no longer in the military academy, why are you so hellbent on learning karate?"

"Hellbent?"

"Why are you so intent on learning karate?"

Riza sighed, as she scratched her head. She replied, "I was suspended from the academy. It's been a year since then. I want to get into the academy again, and this time, I want to defeat Vitalis with my own hands!" She curled her hands into fists, as she made this declaration.

'Revenge, eh? A powerful motivation …' Reeve thought, as he looked at the girl standing right beside him. He spoke, "If you want to learn karate, we'll start with stamina training. I think this is the wrong place to be training, there are too many distractions. However, we'll make do with what we have. I will not teach you any kata, until we've solved your stamina issue. So, first things first, you need to run."

"Run? To where?" asked Riza, puzzled.

"Hmm", Reeve appeared to be thinking. He finally said, "Join me for a jog."

"Oh, okay…"

Finally, the two left and began the jog. They circled around the neighborhood, and by the time they returned, the sun was fully up. Reeve maintained his pace, while Riza was struggling to keep up. She was gasping for breath and there were times where they even stopped for a short rest. Riza was regretting the decision to learn the fighting method. However, it was too late to back out now… at to her it was.

When breakfast time came, she was so tired that she decided to go and rest, which Reeve allowed, for some reason. As for Reeve, he decided to visit the library to learn more about the gods and the religious practices of the area. There were various things which didn't make sense for him. He was also curious about the foundation stones, as well as Vyren's history.

Reeve was walking slowly, looking around at his surroundings. The city looked quite unfamiliar, and as usual, people stopped and stared. He was becoming a spectacle, as people hadn't seen someone with stitches in his face.

"Reeve?" yelled an excited voice, and Reeve didn't need to look to know who it was.

"Wynn? How are you?" he asked, pretending to act surprised.

"I am well. What a surprise to meet you here", Wynn spoke. She was wearing a red dress, with a design of a bird. It looked quite expensive, and Reeve didn't know where she had obtained the money to buy such a dress. She was also carrying a basket.

It seemed as if the god of coincidences was enjoying playing pranks on him. "What a surprise indeed. What are you doing here?" he asked, with a realization that he was probably going to hear a lie. He was very suspicious of this very beautiful lady, who kept showing up at the most opportune times, or in this case, inopportune time. It wasn't his fault, and no one was supposed to blame him. That was unless that person was somewhat related to Wynn.

"Well, my grandmother's shop is close to this place. I am running errands right now", replied Wynn. She then asked, "Where are you going?"

"I'm visiting the library", replied Reeve.

"Eh? Why are you visiting the library?" she had a puzzled expression as she asked.

"I need to read about a few things", he replied with an innocent look. He didn't understand why she had asked like that.

"Oh, is that so? Well, umm, would you like me to accompany you?" as she asked, she was playing with the basket in her hands.

Reeve was about to decline, before he remembered that he didn't exactly know where the darn library was. The reason he was walking in this direction, was because he had been given directions by Miranda, but then he didn't know exactly where the library was. Then again, there was no problem with allowing her to accompany him.

"What about your errands?" he asked.

"I'm not in a rush. Besides, my grandmother is with her friend, so ..."

"That's okay then", Reeve reluctantly agreed. Well, it seemed as if it was reluctant.

The two started walking together, and unlike the time in Sky City, this time Wynn didn't make any introductions. Harazade was quite different from Sky City, and of course, she didn't know most of the places here. However, there were a few places she was familiar with, from her errands apparently. For example, when they passed by the market, she hurried to tell him about it. At the end of the journey, he now knew why the vendors would haggle for prices always, not that he cared, but it was good to know.

The journey came to an end, as they reached the magnificent hall which was called the library. The building was very large, and when compared to Atermine, it looked as if Artemine was designed by a child. Well, assuming the child was very intelligent, and they had an entire country's budget.

In contrast, the library was larger and more magnificent. The walls were painted white, and it was unknown what was used as paint. The doors were made of wood, and they were grey in color. Very few people were going into the library, and even fewer were coming out.

Without caring much about the aesthetics of the library, Reeve walked inside. However, he couldn't help but gasp at the magnificence which was the inside of the library hall. There were large pillars, each one more magnificent than the last.
