The town of Adventurers is where adventurers go to get everything they need for their journeys.
They are armour, magic potions, spell books, and other such items.
The first thing he did after stepping into a different world was try to blend in with his surroundings. That's why he headed to a clothing/armour store.
"Is that all, dear customer?"
"Yeah, that's about all," the man said. So? "How much does it cost?"
"That's three gold and fifteen silver coins," the owner said as he gave the man his statistics.
The guy withdrew exactly three gold and fifteen silver pieces from his pouch, but as he was ready to hand over them, he asked a question.
"Are you certain this thing works?"
"Of course, it works," the shop owner answered with a grimace. "This is one of the top products in town. If you are attacked, this coat will deploy a level 3 barrier through which most attacks will fail. It is also quite resistant to physical strikes."
The man donned a black coat with a guarantee from the owner.
When the owner saw the man in the black coat, he whistled and remarked, "Dang, this coat was made for you."
He purchased a bag, some healing potions, a magical coat, and two magic daggers that he could use as a weapon, among other things, from the store.
He left the store with the stuff he had purchased and proceeded to his destination.
After wandering about town for a while, the man arrived at the local guild.
He was a little worried as he stood at the guild's door, but he stepped in with bravery.
However, as he entered, he encountered an unexpected circumstance.
"What—?"
Within the guild, many others shared his taste in dress.
There were perhaps 30 - 50 individuals inside the guild, all of whom appeared to be waiting for something.
'I shouldn't expose myself just yet,' he reasoned, and sat at a table in the corner of the room, not interacting with anyone.
'I can keep watch from here'.
Murmuring filled the air.
"Excuse me, sir, can I bring you anything?" a lady approached the man at the table.
"Ah, could you bring me something to drink?" said the man.
"Certainly! Anything else."
"Not at the moment."
"Oh! Umm—," the man said as the lady was ready to depart.
"Yes?"
"What's going on there?" the man questioned, pointing his finger towards the crowd.
"Oh, that?" the lady remarked to the audience. "People dressed strangely and with little awareness of the world have begun arriving all around the empire. We've been receiving reports from guilds throughout the continent."
"Hmmm", that seems strange," the man commented, perplexed.
"Right~," the lady said slowly, closing the gap between them, "from what I've heard, it appears these people have some kind of strange power to themselves, and to check that out personally, the church is sending someone personally."
"The church, huh?" the guy said, his eyes wide with amazement.
"Yeah. Only the Saint can tell us what is going on right now," she remarked to the man, smiling, "Anyway, I'll go fetch you your drink," and then went.
'A weird power huh?'.
He sipped his drink while keeping his distance from the crowd. But, as he revelled in his solitary, a shudder ran down his spine.
"!!?"
He cast a short but inconspicuous glance to both sides.
'What—? I swear I felt—'
"ATTENTION EVERYONE!"
He had to shift his attention when a loud voice yelled.
A man in a white robe stood in front of the audience.
'He must be the one who was sent by the church, huh?' he thought.
The man held his chest up and spoke at the top of his lungs.
"I am one of the assistant priests of the Empire's Solara Sanctum church, and I am here to clear up any misunderstandings or confusion you may have," said the assistant priest.
"People have been emerging all around the Empire, just as here in Guildhaven. Not only the Empire but the entire continent. But don't worry, I've brought you a message from the saint herself," shouted the guy.
Another individual was standing near the assistant priest, clutching a scroll. The assistant priest opened the scroll and read aloud the message.
"Godsend warriors of the ruined world who have descended into the new one!" remarked the guy as he took a big breath. "With the authority conferred upon you, you must pick up your weapons and defend mankind from the peril known as the Lord of the Demons, who will very soon lead humans to their demise. Because God cannot stand by and let his creation be destroyed by another, he has endowed us with 1000 otherworldly soldiers who will guard humanity against unknown threats!"
The message had come to a close. After the massage, the man returned the scroll to the man next to him and turned back towards the crowd.
"That's exactly what the Saint had stated. But that's not all," people murmured as he said it.
The assistant priest then took another scroll from the man next to him and read it aloud.
"I, Valerius Solarius Suncreast, Emperor of the Solistic Empire, welcome all otherworldly warriors to my Empire. I understand that the current events may be a surreal fantasy for you and that many of you are in unfamiliar settings. But, until we can thoroughly investigate this problem, I would appreciate your cooperation. Until then, I request that you remain in the nearest town or kingdom and seek assistance from the local guild."
