Darrian walked out without a word, leaving me on the floor.
I was stunned by my own actions.
The last two words on my screen were "I do".
I did ruin my love life for good.
I curled up in a ball and waited for a long time before I gathered the courage to peek at Darrian through the door.
He searched the area for any signs of trouble. I watched him from a distance, hoping he would notice me.
"Darrian, are you ignoring me?" I asked in a weak voice.
He paused for a second, then turned his head to face me. "I need some time to think."
I felt a flicker of hope, and he added, "Calm down and have fun."
"Sure," I said. Well, at least he was still talking to me. That was something.
I went back to my room and tried to find some nice pajamas that could impress Darrian, but I ended up falling asleep on my stomach.
When I opened my eyes, it was already seven in the morning.
Darrian was still leaning on the door, not moving a muscle.
Poor guy. He must have had a hard night.
