Twilight sat on the ground in a lotus position, resting her wrist under her chin, and asked the thirty sixth question, "What was your objective?"
Shonu, already frightened and doesn't have the willpower to tolerate further torture, spoke until now without hesitation for the welfare of his life.
"... O-Our plan was to abduct the principal of Apex Campus and duress him to work for our organization!"
"Oh!" She smiled broadly, though she was neither interested nor amazed. "The second last question is… who is your organization working for?"
"I-I don't know…" He stuttered weakly and shuddered seeing her lips spasmed for some reason. The masquerade mask revealed her lower face, visible to everyone below her nose.
Iris initially wondered how he, or his organization's people, invaded this place and manipulated this realm gate but didn't thought much.
"... Then how can I leave this place?" This was Twilight's final question. Shonu opened his mouth, then closed it.
'Hoh! It seems he requisite… a bit of persuasion.'
"Arghhhhhhh!"
He groaned after she delivered a punch to his chest. "I need answers, not silence! I won't hesitate to take out your other eye from the socket…"
Shonu freaked, didn't want to experience that pain, and quickly began to speak after hearing her threat. "There is a goddess named Hajin whom we enslave here. She is the key for teleporting or opening the gate of this realm!"
"I see. Where is she?" Before he could respond, Tina called out her code name and approached several merfolks, mostly womens, towards her with hints of… horror, in their human forms.
An octopus carried by them, on their back… A woman, whose body was turned to stone, who had an artifact around her neck.
'She could be Hajin!' Twilight thought, standing in front of the statue that was brought before her.
"Is she Hajin?" Twilight supplicated, still eyeing Shonu, who squinted at Tina and shouted in lothe.
"Oye, traitors! How dare you betray me? I will—"
"Shut up!" Twilight interrupted, stepping on his face after and her foot rubbed on it. "You still have haughtiness. I could break it for you… do you have a hankering for death?"
Shonu padlocks his lips, feeling the intense malice from the surrounding beasts.
"Need restoration for her?" Twilight twisted back to Tina.
"Y-Yes, please help her, Twilight!" Tina began to cry as Twilight examined the artifact embedded in Hajin's skin.
It didn't take her long to root out the groove. It was also a kind of bomb… Almost a landmine. When it will… strip, the surroundings would be naught but secure.
The artifact was planting its prickle into her nape, and one wiggle, her cervix would be chopped or by the master's caprice.
Twilight cautiously nabbed the antiquities, zapping a tad of electricity into it to traumatize the circuitry, and commerce her thunder affinity.
After it was just a piece of trash with all circuits kaput, she busted it off while keeping Hajin safe from any bleeding or little stab.
When it was tossed aside by Twilight, which she decoded, the body started to morph into human epidermis, which would take a few seconds before returning to original flesh.
"All of you!" Twilight looked at other Merfolks, "All the people in the slammer... unshackle them! They're innocent, And you all are free to do as you please within this realm."
"Aye aye, captain!" The mermaids nodded enthusiastically, scurrying to unlock all the prisons like a bunch of eager beavers on a dam-building spree.
'I know these humans or teachers won't try to pull a fast one on me, especially with all the big shots au courant that I'm holding the reins.'
'If they even think about making a splashy move, I could send those students swimming with the fishes, or just teleport outta here faster than they can say surf's up!'
Twilight recognized her position of power and control over the situation, giving her leverage against potential threats.
She was confident in her ability to either eliminate the students or simply teleport away if the students or teacher tried to do anything untoward.
'Oh… Is she a model?' Twilight's gaze zeroed in on the statue, now back in human form.
Hajin had hair the color of a perfect summer sunset, faint pink one, lips that could tempt a sailor to abandon ship, and eyes that sparkled like the ocean's depths.
Her body curved in all the right places, like the gentle swell of waves caressing the shore. And her aura? Told her that she is in the manifestation realm.
—"Farewell!" Twilight swiftly wielded her black sword, decapitating Shonu without hesitation. Having advanced to stage 4 in her cultivation, she felt more elated than ever.
'That's a feeling no physical love can give me!' As Hajin regained her human form, she immediately knelt as if she was loading her brain. Twilight draped a black quilt around her, shielding her exposed body from the worldly view.
"May we know who you truly are?" A voice, poker tone, looked at her with a mad dog eyes but still calmed.
Twilight glances at Gwen from the corner of her eye.
She smiled and responded, "I'm... Twilight. Just pretend I'm not here. In a few moments, I will transport your students back to the original world."
"Why are you helping us?" Gwen lifted her eyebrows skeptically. "Are you one of the rumored Eclipse Shadows? If so, are you an enemy? And do you know where Iris Hope is? Like a few students, she's missing. Did you—"
"I don't know about the others, but the woman named Iris Hope is safe." Twilight maintains a composed exterior despite her inner turmoil.
For some reason, Luna gazed at her, similar to those who were perceiving her true nature, identity, but she didn't babble her thoughts, leading Twilight to assume it was just her imagination.
"D-Deity?... Obstruction?... Goddess?" Hajin gazed directly into my eyes, Twilight intervened, endeavoring to articulate properly.
"Well... I'm the goddess of destruction! So, can you converse coherently?" Twilight nodded her head in complacency when every creature around her knelt.
"Affirmative... Wait... Five minutes... My... gullet... arched!" Hajin mumbled leisurely, with sour eyes.
Twilight doesn't encounter any trouble with it and gets to the crux. "Not a problem! Let's converse, but can you unveil the portal to my realm, whence I hail! Please accomplish it and send all people who don't belong here to there, and let's keep matters secret."
"... Affirmative... will execute it." Hajin's eyes lit up, and she boosted her both arms, all the pupils, instructors, and everyone who doesn't pertain to this domain, enveloped into a cerulean aura. And…
