"Grass?" He lifts his head up to look around an expansive grass field with tall mountains stretching to the heavens throughout the vast distance. Takeshi is frozen in fear and confusion, while his mind is racing with thoughts…
"Where am I?"
"Who am I?"
He looks up to the sky seeing the sun even larger and closer than usual. "I'm not sure I'm even on earth anymore…" he says to himself. With no sense of direction he decides to head for a random direction hoping to find civilization.
He smells the pretty grass, as the cold spring-like wind flows across his body. The green leafy soil is pushed down by his feet as he takes step after step forward.
"Gush.!..!." A reverberating gush is heard behind Takeshi and he whips his whole body around to take a better look. It's a small creature he recognizes as a slime. It's vibrating from the ground shock and ready to bounce again.
Takeshi is scared and confused at this new encounter and he takes a couple steps back before colliding with a tree. "Shit!" The slime leaps!
The slime shakes through the air before sticking to Takeshi's face upon impact. His nose is broken, while his jaw feels as if it had been sprain.
The slime reverberates backwards landing on the warm grass below. He's shocked and holding his nose. He maintains "eye contact" with the slime until it seizes vibration and prepares for another bounce!
Takeshi dashes right and the slime sticks to the tree. "I dodged it, and now…" Takeshi throws a punch and on impact…
His punch phases right through the slime and through the tree. He falls forward in confusion and the slime hits him straight at the bottom of his jaw sending him groaning to the floor.
He rolls dodging the next attempt from the slimy creature and begins to run. By now the night is beginning to come and the sky is becoming red.
He's in a full sprint until he can't see the slime in sight. He looks back one more time for reassurance and, the slime is gone.
"I escaped" he leans against a tree and slowly catches his breath. "It's almost night, I can't… not anymore"
"I want too die" he says, but he shall eat these words until his peak. He slides down the tree until the floor is hit.
He collides with the floor and finishes collecting his breath. He takes a Quick Look around with some fear in his eyes, the sun is no longer visible by now and the fear is getting worse.
"Hey!" A voice calls out catching Takeshi's attention. He's caught off guard, but despite he still stands up seeking another person in this lonely place.
He guides his vision until he sees a man standing in-between a few trees. "Do you need help?" The man asks.
The man has longish brown hair and is wearing a plain white long sleeve shirt while being suited with luxury worthy jeans. Takeshi quickly makes his way over, waving his hand through the air as he approaches.
"Have you built a house for me yet?" The man asks. "A house? I just arrived here sorry man…"
"I understand do you need a guide on collecting resources?" He asks. "Yeah! That would be great!" Takeshi responds.
The guide describes how to access his inventory which is a backpack with multiple little compartments that seem to fit anything inside them. Surprisingly enough the backpack is made of air, and whatever goes inside can't be seen from the outside.
The guide continues teaching until Takeshi notices three things. "Crash!" Three tools fall out from Takeshi's inventory onto the ground.
He recognizes them as a:axe, small sword, and a pickaxe. Takeshi is shocked but reaches down to pick them up anyways. He heads for the axe first, Then…
"Poof!"
The axe suddenly disappears and his backpack tingles slightly. "I see…" he says not calmly at all. He reaches back and pulls the axe from his backpack without dropping it this time.
"Yeah!" He says. "This could definitely work, now bro…" he's interrupted. "My names Maxwell, call me that" Maxwell says pointing to his name tag.
"Yeah that's on me I should've payed attention better, now do I just chop down trees?" Takeshi asks Maxwell.
"Yeah that's about it." He responds simply. Takeshi nods and approaches a nearby tree.
He faces forward to the right of the tree while his head faces the bark. He grips his axe with all his might, and "Swoosh" he slams the axe into the tree causing it to shake.
He stumbles back slightly when an acorn falls down and hits his head. "Youch…" he says rubbing his head. "Wait! I can't get distracted." He reassures himself.
Takeshi regains the grip and swooshes it once more into the tree knocking it over. The tree hits the ground and turns into multiple small wooden squares at the stump.
He reaches his hand out and a poof echos throughout the air. He reaches back and pulls out a near limitless amount of wood.
He spends a while sitting on the stump counting before he decided on the number 127, 127 pieces of wood from his first tree. "That's a lot of wood for one tree I can't imagine what two would do!" He says excitedly.
"Quit being distracted, your lucky your alive!" Maxwell points out. Takeshi tilts his head in confusion. "The zombies are hunting for us and you're not working on a house!" Maxwell shouts.
Takeshi sighs… "Alright whatever I'll build a house." He stands up from the stump and reaches for a wooden block, before placing it onto the ground.
The block seems to cling to the ground effortlessly despite him pulling away. It's as if the block is chained. He reaches for another stacking it on top, and then another and another and another.
Until eventually he has built a small box. He stands proud in front of his small box, "what do you think Maxwell did I do good?" He says loudly. "Yeah you did great now come inside and craft something.
"I can craft?" He says to himself somewhat excitingly. "Yeah just think about a workbench made of wood and hold out both of your palms."
"Like this?" Takeshi asks holding out both palms. Maxwell nods, and the workbench falls into Takeshi's hands before hitting the wooden floor.
He reaches down and picks up the workbench without a problem as if it weighed nothing. He carries to a corner and places it down.
Takeshi looks at the workbench and nods. He's proud of his first craft and feels a new purpose in this new world. "Now make a chair…" Maxwell orders.
Takeshi nods, and reaches out his palms trying to imagine a chair falling into his hands. He concentrates hard until the chair pops into his hands.
He pushes the chair down and pushes it next to the workbench. "Now I can finally live here." Maxwell announces. "What do you mean? I thought you were just a guide or something like that…" Takeshi asks.
"Whenever a chair and a table meet that room becomes a house for a person like me. It's pretty simple but we tend to move in randomly sometimes…" Maxwell states. "I can tell…" Takeshi replies.
Maxwell approaches the chair, and sits down. "Hmmm, that's strange" he comments. "It seems I'm not a citizen here yet?" Maxwell points out.
Takeshi stares at him confused as a bug, until Maxwell has a idea:"Mabey you need to put walls on the walls?"
"Walls on the walls?" Takeshi wonders aloud. "Yeah walls on the walls, here think about a small wall appearing in your hand." Maxwell request.
Takeshi jolts out both palms, and the wall gently falls into his hand. It's a small piece of wood that's very thin, yet surprisingly firm. "Now make about 200 more!" Maxwell orders.
"Yeah I'll try…" Takeshi responds
He points his palms out, and the small walls fall into his hand-stacking into a neat stack as they go. They stack up to his head, before slowing down and the last one comes out.
"That's about 107 walls, will it work?" He asks Maxwell. "Well we'll see go put them on the walls and see how much progress you can make…"
Takeshi nods and swiftly makes his way over to one of the walls. It's the left most wall and he's starting in the corner against the top wall.
"Do I do it like this?" Takeshi asks pushes one of the small walls against the building style wall. The small wall sticks just as Maxwell bobs his head yes.
Takeshi rubs the walls across the wall until 2 of the rooms walls are covered in the interior fashion. The last piece pops onto the wall, and Takeshi looks down.
"That's all I had, do I go out for more wood now?" Takeshi asks himself. "Ah what could go wrong…"
He walks to the opening of his house, which is still missing a door and takes a step into the grass. The calm nighttime breeze washes over him, and he lets out a sigh of calmness.
"Guess slimes don't come out at nighttime! Wait…" he goes from laugh to serious. Takeshi reaches his hand up to feel his jaw, and nose. "They are healed?" He wonders aloud.
Confusion flows through his veins, he has a feeling similar to when you think of what's outside the universe. "I-I" he can't form a word the confusion is so intense.
"Raaagh" a noise is heard behind Takeshi and his worry washes away. He looks back to see a rotting man standing before him with jagged teeth and rugged clothes.
The man stumbles as he walks before ripping off his own arm, and swaying it towards Takeshi. Takeshi narrowly back steps it and throws a strong punch to the zombies face.
"Wait I forgot!" His fist fazes through the zombie and he's hit in the head by the zombie arm. Concussion, neck sprain, and eardrum rupture. These are the injuries he sustained.
His left ear rings, so he covers it while also reaching his right arm to the back of his neck. The intense headache is nothing to skip over, this could be permanent damage.
However Takeshi doesn't feel a loss in stamina… Not in the slightest. He stands back up:"It's like I can ignore the pain, now…"
"I won't make the same mistake again…"
