Chapter 11: The Oldest Sister

After Gin stepped through the portal leading to the Palace of White Ice, a beautiful white haired girl who looked slightly older and more mature than her surprised her by hugging her, stuffing her face into her chest.

"Little sister! I finally get to meet you,"

"Gah, you scared me!" Gin said, shoving the attacker away, before asking, "By the way, who are you?"

"I'm Velzard, your future older sister!" she said cheerfully.

'Huh? That cute girl is one of the True Dragons?' Gin said surprised. But looking more closely, she realized the resemblance between the girl in front of her and her anime counterpart. The main difference was her clothes, which were different than what the anime and manga had her in.

"Nice to meet you," Gin said cautiously, as she didn't know why Velzard wanted to speak with her.

"Since you're going to be my new little sister. Why don't I take you under my wing. I'll even train you to a higher level," she said happily, as if she thought of a great idea.

Being scared by her dark smile, Gin wanted to refuse, not wanting to end up like Veldora, as Velzard would repeatedly kill him as a kind of discipline.

As if she could read Gin's mind, Velzard laughed and said, "There's no reason to refuse. I'll be gentle. Plus, you won't end up like that stubborn brat Veldora. I only discipline him since he constantly has destructive tantrums. Once you get to my level, you'll see what I'm saying. I mean, I can feel his destructive presence all the way over here. On the other hand, you're already way more mature than he is."

Trying to refuse, Gin shook her head, but not backing down, Velzard raises her head and fiercely smiled, pressuring her with her scary gaze.

Giving into the pressure, Gin begrudgingly accepted the offer.

But then Velzard comforts Gin and says, "I'll go easy on you though, since you're still very weak."

"Hey Guy! I'm off. I'll be back in a little bit!" Velzard yells into the distant hall before turning away, not knowing if he heard.

Then, before anyone asked, Misery opened a portal leading back to Gin's territory. Cheerful, Velzard grabs Gin and hops inside.

When they arrive, Velzard seemed cheerful for getting to go out. But Gin was surprised, as even though she was only gone for about a day, a large building sitting on the southern side of town that wasn't there when she left was somehow fully built. But it wasn't just any building. It was a small castle, looking like a miniature medieval castle.

Seeing an elven carpenter exit the building, Gin catches his attention and asked, "Hey, what's this new building? It wasn't here when I left yesterday."

"Hello. This is a mansion that everyone decided to build for you. You never built yourself a home since you don't sleep, but we were all worried for your health Gin-sama. That's why we collectively decided to build you a mansion appropriate for someone like you," The worker replied, beaming at being able to speak to his beloved savior and leader.

Laughing at the response, Velzard said, "Its wonderful that your people know how great you are, and worship you. Since I'm here, why don't you give me a tour."

Gin thought she wouldn't be able to give a good tour since it was her first time inside, but [Great Sage] notified her.

{Received. As the user needed a home to live in, I have influenced people to build this mansion for you. As such, I know the entire layout of the property.}

Entering the gates of the castle, Gin immediately notices how large the building is. Even the front yard was large, having a dirt pathway leading up to the main entrance, with short neatly trimmed grass planted outside the pathway. Lining just outside the dirt pathway was 2 neat rows of apple trees, with the area in between casting a romantic shadow along the path.

Arriving the the front entrance, the large double doors made a loud sound as they opened inward. Immediately inside the castle was a small water fountain made with a marble dragon spitting water from its mouth onto a small pool at the base.

The two sisters walked along one of two spiral staircases that followed along the edges of the circular entrance room that lead to each of the floors, all the way to the highest floor. At the fourth floor, they started with the bedrooms.

Gin tried to show Velzard the guest bedroom, but she declined, happily saying she would share the master bedroom with Gin.

Sighing, Gin led them to the Master Bedroom, which was fairly large, but didn't have too much for decorations. There was a large king sized bed, and a small circular coffee table as well as a built in master bathroom, but not much else. There were also two windows that acted as a double door, opening outward to reach the balcony which had a great view overlooking the town.

Next was the Livingroom on the third floor. The room had 4 sofas arranged in a square facing inwards, with a square table with a small potted plant. There wasn't much decorations in this room either.

The dining room on the first floor was much better. It looked like it could be repurposed as a ballroom, with how high the ceiling was. There was also a door that led to a very large kitchen, but it seemed that Gin wouldn't need to cook, as there were some people who wanted to dedicate themselves as her maids.

Finishing up with the rest rooms, Velzard wanted to check out the internal garden.

Arriving at the garden, Gin didn't know what to expect. Obviously, the mansion was very well built, had great architectural design, and was very spacious, but she was surprised at what she was. Even Velzard was a little impressed.

This internal garden was still a work in progress, as there was still room for more. Entering the garden, the tiled floor turned into a dirt floor, where plants were rooted into the ground. There were a few Hipokute Herbs planted on the ground. There were also a few berry bushes that made a pathway to the center of the garden.

At the center stood a large healthy looking tree, very thick and brown. But surprisingly, that wasn't a normal tree. It was an old Treant who got displaced by the battle last year, who somehow got transported here.

With the Treant came 4 young, beautiful Dryads. These dryads followed the old Treant, and rooted themselves to the garden, each attaching themselves to one of the four peach trees that marked the corners of the square garden.

Observing the Dryads, Gin asked why only they were in their human forms, but the spokes person of them replied that it was because the Treant was too old. This answer confused her, since she thought that monsters don't really age, but she let it slide.

Then, before she asked how they got to the town, [Great Sage] interjected and told her that she had teleported them when she found their old home destroyed.

Liking the garden, Velzard said, "This is a great garden you have. The plants are wonderful and exotic. Hopefully they breed and multiply!"

Gin didn't notice that Velzard was talking about the Dryads and Treant, and didn't understand what she meant, so she moved on to another area.

----------

Half a day later, when the tour was completed, the duo finally relaxed, snacking on some fruits in the Dining Room.

Thinking that she didn't know what Velzard really wants, Gin asked her, "Since we finished the tour, what do you want to do next?"

Thinking for a moment, the White Ice Dragon bluntly responded, "Well, how about some training. After all, you're pretty weak."

Looking like lightning had struck her, Gin was shocked by how blunt the response was. She meekly pointed out, "I'm able to evolve to a Dragon King at any time, but I just want to master my current power first. And after that, the awakening into a True Dragon shouldn't be far."

"Power wise, you aren't that far from evolving. But you don't have a full grasp of your Light element. To evolve into a True Dragon, you need to learn that first. That's why I'm here, to give you a better grasp of your element." Velzard said with pride.

"Well how is this training going to work?" asked Gin, curiously. After all, even if Velzard ends up not being the best teacher, her experience as a True Dragon should mean something.

"Let's start with teaching you Light Magic. I mainly know Ice Magic, but through the years, I learned basic magic for all elements."

And with that Gin trained in magic usage for a few days, leaning multiple basic light spells like <Light Shield>, <Light Beam>, <Light Ball>, as well as some spells from other elements, but mainly ice.

After these few days, thinking that Gin had a good grasp on the spells, and was able to cast them quickly and silently using [Great Sage], Velzard moved to stage two of the training, namely combat training.

At the very beginning, Gin thought that combat training would essentially mean that Velzard would continuously beat her up to near death and then heal her and repeat the process.

But surprisingly, Velzard was extremely gentle with her, trying her best to not injure her. Basically, it was the opposite of her treatment of Veldora.

'Man, I wonder how bad Veldora got to make Velzard repeatedly kill him and consider it disciplining him.' Thought Gin, as she once again got hit by a projectile of ice that didn't injure her at all, but instead just sealed her movements.

When sparring, Gin would try her best to hit Velzard with any moves possible, and she would dodge and return a light attack that would only seal Gin's movements by covering her in ice, not injuring her in the slightest.

Velzard was a surprisingly good teacher. Whenever Gin made a mistake, she would gently tell Gin the mistake and how to fix it. Unlike with a certain older brother, Velzard was very patient with Gin, always being very friendly and not scary at all.

Even after a whole week of sparring, Velzard continued her gentle teaching method, which surprisingly helped a lot.

No matter if Gin was in human or dragon form, her combat ability was consistent in strength, with her human form being better for magic, her dragon form being better for physical attacks, and both forms having a near equal proficiency with skills.

And because she was constantly near Velzard's suffocating quantity of Magicules, Gin's own reserves had benefited greatly, increasing by a decent margin, from 211,132 to 228,009 (A+ Rank).

A little less than a month of constant combat training later, with this large increase in both practical and numerical strength, Velzard decided to tell Gin that she was ready for her evolution.

"Hey little sister, come here. At this point, there's no doubt that you're ready for your evolution, and if you take too long, you might even decline so I think its better for you to evolve sooner rather than later."

"Huh, you think so? I didn't even notice my increase in strength." Gin said obliviously. But it made sense, since Gin was too focused on trying to at least hit Velzard a single time where her defenses didn't intercept the attacks.

"By the way, since you're making a nation for those with a Dragon Bloodline, why don't you evolve your elves into Dragon Elves? Doing that would put the Elves on the same level or even higher than the Dragonewts, which would greatly benefit your nation. Also, you don't need to worry about being invaded since I'm here."

"I can do that!?" Gin asked excitedly.

"To evolve and bind them to you, all you need to do is let them consume a single drop of your blood and then soak in a large amount of your Magicules," Velzard explained.

Thinking for a moment, Gin asked [Great Sage], this sounds like it could take a while. 'We have almost a thousand Elves, so do you have any way to do this quickly?'

{Received. I can do this very quickly if the user would allow it.}

With Gin's permission, [Great Sage] took command after all the elves gathered in the palace courtyard. She quickly went through the process of evolving the Elves into Dragon Elves.

First, she made a bowl out of dirt. Then, she made a small cut along her wrist to bleed out a small amount of her blood. And using water magic, she distributed the blood amongst the excited crowd. When everyone had consumed a drop of blood, [Great Sage] induced the evolution process in all the elves by spreading out her Magicules. And with that, the procedure was a success, and Gin gained back control of her body.

'Now its time for my evolution,' Gin thought, opening up her inventory and choosing to consume Jahil's soul.

Slowly closing her eyes, the last thing Gin saw before falling asleep was Velzard gently smiling and carrying her in a princess carry to the master bedroom.
