Abnormality

[It's normal for an abnormal person to do abnormalities... Expecting a normal outcome would be even more abnormal]- TrustMeBro

***

"No that was surprising. I didn't expect the skill to evolve, but it's still a unique skill." Sun Wukong was mildly surprised by the current situation.

"I guess I shouldn't be too greedy... still would have been nice if it became an ultimate skill." He couldn't let go of this thought even though he knew it was not easy to get an ultimate skill, plus he had already got one.

Althought the main protagonist, Rumuru Tempest, made it seems easy since everything seemed to come to him naturally. It really was not.

Most even fail to get a unique skill, so imagine having an ultimate one.

Obtaining an ultimate skill is proof of being among the top of the world after all.

Even the true dragons only got one to their name (pun intended), which will evolve even further in the future.

"I still intend to evolve all my unique skills to ultimate skills, one way or another." He smiled.

Now about his new Unique Skill [Nemesis], not much seemed to have changed, it was not a significant evolution after all.

he just obtained another sub-skill [Exploit] since it was born from him adapting to the slimes' abilities, its effect was pretty similar but still better

'It makes me able to obtain the skills of the creature I eat... even if I only eat a portion.'

Althought that's what he said, that's not exactly the case. What the sub-skill does in fact is get the best out of anything he eats, whether it's organic or inorganic... But that he still didn't know. He had no great sage to give him an exact description of his skills after all. Nor does he have any other investigation skills.

Since skills are related to the soul, those who possess them, have an instinctive idea of what they can do and how to use them.

That's the reason why he never had to discover how to use them or anything similar. But it's still up to the User to determine the best way to use and develop them.

"Now that I have discovered a way to steadily get skills, I should exploit it to the best of my abilities... without going beyond my limits." He said as he started soaring in the air.

"I should try and look for something like a bestiary, let's see if I can get one in the next kingdom I am trying to visit." As those words left his lips, he soared in a certain direction.

But he was flying that fast, he was taking his time to admire the surrounding. He was in no hurry, he got all the time in the world to get stronger.

As he was flying, suddenly he was assaulted by an intrusive thought.

'What would happen if I dived into the sun? would I adapt and become stronger? would my ice skill evolve in reaction? or would I get solar manipulation? Will my body become refined in the heat like the cultivators? Or perhaps I would just die, incinerated to nothingness.' Truly an interesting thought. They were many ways such action could end, it also depended on how he proceeded.

Would he just dive into it or progressively do it?

Would he protect himself with ki or not?

Would he take precautions with magic?

How strong would he be before undertaking such actions?

Would his natural attacks immunities protect him from that?

All of those should be taken into account.

'Let's think about this another time.' He pushed those thoughts away. He was not really afraid of trying.

Why? Because of his new and sole Ultimate skill [Spiritfull God, Sun Wukong]

The new skill came with new sub-skills as well, one of which was "Rebirth".

He didn't know if this was connected to Sun Wukong's mythology or if it was just coincidental but this ability offered him a form of immortality.

As the name of the ability suggests, it would make him come back to life if he died, making him essentially like a true dragon. Even if his body and soul were destroyed, he would come back to life, His body reconstructed from the nothingness itself. He would also keep all of his skills.

'But this ability was by no way perfect, Althought I will be resurrected where I unconsciously wish to be as long as it's in this universe, I won't be able to choose when. It could be minutes after it happened or decades or even millennia.'

'Also, I won't get to keep my memories, and that... is the biggest drawback of the skill.'

'I will definitely try to get a memory-related skill so that the problem would be solved.'

But there were other good points as well. For one he was still fucking immortal!

More seriously, because of his skill set, he would basically come back stronger than he was before, stronger than what killed him, basically... 'I am now doomsday!'

'Ho fuck, did I jinx it? I hope I jinxed it!'

As he thought, his senses perked on something. So he slowly flew lower, as he approached he could see what looked like a mine. Yes, it was definitely a mine, he could hear the sole rhythmic sound of a pickaxe colliding with the walls of the mine.

Althought from its appearance, it seemed dilapidated and abandoned. It seemed like it was not used for years.

'Strange, if my information is to be trusted, this should still be a little far from the City of Ren."

Ren is one of the many Cities in the Ingrassia kingdom. It also was one of his destinations, since from what he heard, this city would certainly bring him some Joy.

"Even more there seem to be only one person in here." He murmured as he landed on the ground and walked into the mine.

He didn't even hesitate, what could possibly happen, he would die? Yeah not happening so easily, not speaking about his resurrection ability, his regeneration skill was also busted, he had nothing to fear.

Plus it's not like something or someone capable enough would just appear out of nowhere to kill him. So just walked in, without any care in the world. 'Bitch I am immortal.'

As he got deeper, the sound became clearer and louder. Finally, he found what he came for.

And what he found made him surprised... no perplexed would be the better world, so much that he came to a standstill, just observing what was unfolding before his very eyes.

A girl, light-skinned, with a lithe, yet muscular, physique and strawberry red hair. She was not particularly beautiful. She was wearing overalls with a yellow bra below. She was perhaps a little above average but nothing extraordinary. Luminous he saw the other day was more beautiful than she was but contrary to Luminous, there was something about this girl. She was just... different.

Sun Wukong just stood there, observing the girl working, mining with a serious yet extremely enticing expression. There was already a pile of ore beside her, but she kept grinding, without stopping as sweat dripped down her body from the constant movement. Making the scene even more... delightful... for him anyway.

They continued like that, as seconds turned into minutes.

'...hm?' At a certain point the girl stopped, she was exhausted from working for so long. And that's when she ultimately noticed someone else's presence.

Her expression became one of worry and mistrust, she was focused on her task that she didn't even see someone getting this close to her.

She took a couple of steps back as she grasped the potential weapon with her two hands, her grip reinforced around it. She would use the pickaxe as a weapon if necessary.

She could see that it was a child, but her instinct was telling her that he was more dangerous than he seemed, so she didn't let herself be influenced by his overall cute appearance.

'What am I even doing?' Wukong thought as he finally came back to his sense, realizing how creepy what he did was. He sighed a little as he looked at the girl with a smile.

"I apologize, it seems like my actions were a little... displaced" He was sincerely feeling sorry for his actions.

Observing him a little more, she slowly let her guard down, she could feel his sincerity.

"It is... fine." She said as she lowered the pickaxe. "But what are you doing here? and since when are you here?" She asked in an inquiring fashion.

"I was just passing by when I heard some strange sound so I naturally came to take a look." Sun Wukong answered honestly. "And I was a here for a while already."

"Ho, It's fine then." She quickly was over the matter since she already concluded he didn't purposely come for her.

Her thought pattern was a little naive but for a girl like her who has no real experience in the world, it was to be expected.

"Don't... don"t you have more questions?" Wukong was finding the situation a bit... strange.

Generally... not that this is something that happens often, people would be asking a flurry of questions but she didn't even ask who he was.

"Hm... are you planning to hurt me?" She inquired

"....No" He answered after a little silence.

"So no. I have no further questions." She started packing her things, putting the mined ores into the big mining bags she came. From the way she was transporting them, she was stronger than she looked.

Looking at her, Sun Wukon really didn't know how to react to this, the girl was just too peculiar... Ironic coming from him, a Demon Lord.

"Hahaha" He suddenly burst into laughter, even though he himself didn't know why but finally he found the situation pretty funny.

"Althought you didn't ask for it, let me help you with this" He walked toward her as he grabbed a full bag with one hand, immediately after, his magic power stirred as he used space spirit magic, opening his personal inventory.

The girl from her perspective could just see a portal open before the boy as he threw her stuff inside one after another... Boy, she still didn't know the name, but she couldn't ask since she said that she no longer had any questions. She didn't want to look appear like a liar.

"Take it as my way of apologizing for my previous actions." Seeing the girl look at him so intensely, Wukong thought that she was thinking ill of his actions. Only if he knew how childish her thoughts were.

"Is this magic?" She asked curiously.

"Hm... that? Yes, it's my inventory." WUkong answered as he pointed at the portal leading to his inventory following, he then closed it.

"I saw magic before but this is the first time I see this something like this." She was more interested in the magic than her stuff that disappeared into it.

"Ho but-" Sun Wukong restrained himself from speaking further. He was so much taking into account how much abnormal stuff there was in this world that he forgot how much he himself was abnormal.

Thinking about it, how many people in the series did he see that have inventories? and those he know of didn't even have it with magic but rather a skill.

He found it so easy to create that he didn't think much about it but it was not normal at all even in this world.

Most Top dogs of this world had mastered space magics, some even had space-time domination skills, but how many created such a thing as a sub-space?

What he forget to take into count was his skill [Personal reality] and [Hypercompetence] those skills were constantly running, they were passive skills and because of them, whatever he undertakes would seem easy to him, but common sense didn't apply to him.

"Well... miss? what was your name again?" He realized he still didn't know her name.

"Yuna... my name is Yuna." She answered.

"Nice to meet you Yuna... Let's just say I am a special case." He addressed the girl that seemed to be around sixteen years old.

If Sun Wukong keeps on forgetting stuff he might really adapt and get an eidetic memory skill or something similar... Just kidding lmao... or am I?

Remember when I said you would get to chapters today? Yeah forget it, I barely finished this one, but I will try to make up for it.

Farewell see you tomorrow, hopefully.
