Ugh…

The 2 could not think, as the pressure blurred their minds.

As the Daemon's eye were locked with Michikatsu, his grin widened and he leaped towards him.

BOOM…

A huge explosion erupted, as a dark armored Michikatsu was thrown back at immense speeds, crashing through multiple trees with no signs of stopping.

He summoned 'Tsukuyomi' and buried it in the ground to stop himself while using some of his shadows to push him from behind. As he stopped, he coughed up blood, as he summoned all the shadows he had in his Legion, who all dashed towards Noir while a Wolf quickly picks Artoria up and runs off to their designated spot where they were supposed to meet the others.

Had Michikatsu not have instinctively activated his Yi Armor, he would have died, at least materially. While his actual self was invulnerable to attacks of his student, his main concern was his body. It was the first body in who knows how long that could actually contain his soul, even if it had given up its powers. And since his lifespan was still limited, Michikatsu was almost certain that the destruction of his body would spell his demise.

Michikatsu grimaced. Noir was his students who he had taught many of his arts had had Unique Skills that he could not yet guard against, but most of all, why was he attacking him? From his expression, he already knew that Noir had recognized him, so was he playing just around?

Getting up, Michikatsu dashed at the scene again, finding his Aunt and Uncle on the ground unconscious. A small spark of anger started burning in his heart and he glared at the Primordial.

"They are just unconscious. You didn't want me to kill them, did you? Master"

A sigh of relief escaped the cultivator's mouth, as he looked into the eyes of the demon, who looked quite amused at the current situation.

{Appraisal}

Michikatsu was a cautious person who didn't rush into battle if there is a chance of defeat. He had 2 shadow wolves send the 2 unconscious humans behind Artoria, facing the Demon by himself, and his Legion at his back.

[Appraisal Result:

 Name: ---

Age: 20,000+ *Cultivation too low to determine Age perfectly*

 Race: Daemon (Arch Daemon)

Title: Black Primordial…*Cultivation too low to analyze further*

 Battle Strength: Half Immortal

Threat Posed: Lethal (Extremely probable Death)

Michikatsu could only gape at this, for even he did not expect Noir to be this strong as an Arch demon was neither named, nor had a physical body.

"Why are you here?"

"Can't I just visit my master once in a while", he shrugged it off.

"NOIR"

"Rouge said that you had reincarnated. I watched the world for thousands of years, guarding the Overlord Palace and waiting for you to return. Now that you are here, why not have a sweet reunion?"

Huh? Did Vel sell me out or what?

Michikatsu was sure that he had not let Rouge know of his intentions, so the only way he could know was if Veldanava or Athena told him. He knew the Athena won't tell him so the only suspect in his mind was Veldanava. However, he could not ponder any longer as Noir leaped at him, throwing a 『Fireball』 at Michikatsu who responded with his own.

Seeing the huge difference in speed, Michikatsu boosted himself with the Dao of Time by 15 times. But this however made little difference as he barely avoided an incoming punch that Noir had sent towards his face.

Then following their master's wishes, the horde of shadows rushed at the Daemon who easily killed them as if they were flies while the only one that forced him to use an art derived from his Unique Skill 『Tempter』 which is known as 『Despair Time』 was Kaisel. However, since the body of the Dragon Lord was merely an avatar formed of Yi, Noir's art did no lasting damage as Kaisel just regenerated as he was before, since his soul which resided inside Hajun's core was unaffected.

Any attacks he threw at the shadow were just regenerated, prompting Noir to switch his target. He materialized a blade in his hand, which was a result of 『Unique Skill: Weapon Master』 rather than 『Material Creation』 which is the intrinsic Skill of all Daemons.

The 'Unique Skill: Weapon Master' is truly the only one of its kind of the many that he obtained under Kokushibo's tutelage. It has 3 sub-skills, 『Warrior's Essence』, an Extra skill that allows the user to grasp the technique seen by the eyes and copy it if the user has the perquisites while also having a form of clairvoyance which can predict the opponent's moves so a high extent, though the prediction is limited to physical moves.

『Armory』 is an extra skill under 'Weapon Master' that allows the user to store a tool made up of Inorganic constituents as Magicules indefinitely in a space created by the same skill. The user can also use this as a storage for Magicules by using Weapons from it and rematerialize them after gaining enough Magicules that they were originally worth.

『Warrior's Haki』 is the third and last of the extra skills under 'Weapon Master'. It allows the user to release a pressure that disrupts the victims' concentration and sporadically makes them sloppier and commit mistakes, increasing the odds of a battle in the user's favor.

Using 'Warrior's Haki', he leaped at his master, who could only be helplessly thrown around like a ragdoll.

The two went on a battle of swordsmanship, Diablo overwhelming the other with his immense physical advantage along with his Unique Skill while Michikatsu always barely avoiding being cut up due to his immense Skill and experience. Their swords clashed, releasing booming sounds and small scale explosions of air with every swing.

"Let's take it up a notch"

Noir's elated face only made Michikatsu grimace as the cultivator felt each progressive blow from his opponent getting heavier. Nothing Michikatsu did, no Arts, abilities or techniques, would give him any advantage over the demon, he was just too outclassed in raw power.

Even if he used Azura, he would release enough Yi to create a blast that would obliterate everything in a wide radius that extended beyond the Nasca Kingdom since he was not able to control that much Yi at his current strength.

Since the Shadows regenerated indefinitely after being destroyed, and having Azura which could support them for decades, Michikatsu began using them more as a distraction that a form of attack. Seeing as even this wasn't helping him, he opted for a more dangerous way.

Suddenly the Yi Armor began to burst up in dark flames, as if it was becoming an ethereal humanoid shape. His hair looked like white flames while the body seemed like the night sky adorned with numerous stars. (Image here)

The cultivator now began to release a domineering Aura that seemed to be a mixture of many different energies. How could it not, after all, he had combined the Attributes of his Daos in it except 'Void' which was far too dangerous to be used carelessly. Now, having power much superior to before, he charged at the Daemon again.

With the gap in their strength narrowed, Michikatsu's attacks seemed to make more damage, as the Demon himself was surprised at the feat. The wounds he gave didn't seem to heal, and he was much faster than before. Not only that, Michikatsu's speed was off the charts from what it should be. This was the power the proper use of the Daos could grant.

Noir's 'Despair Time' was unfeasible since it couldn't damage a Cultivator's soul who had formed a core. After finding this, Noir could only wonder at the strength his teacher gained in such a short amount of time.

Huh?

Diablo found himself in the air alone, no sign of his opponent in sight, his senses heightened as they began to warn him of a danger below. Looking down, he found the silhouette of his teacher pointing a sword at him. It had a big golden handle that resembled a cross, and a blade that was glowing white.

Feeling the immediate danger, he tried to get out of the range but somehow couldn't as an invisible wall seemed to trap him in a tunnel that extended upwards.

BOOM…

A pillar of white light soared into the sky, blowing apart everything in the vicinity at the sheer force it seemed travel along the tunnel, that had a cultivator's Dao in it. Noir was no exception, as he too was trapped inside the tunnel. (Image here)

Huff Huff…

Michikatsu was exhausted. Using the Azura itself was straining, but containing it was a whole other matter. On his knees, he felt his entire body creaking, unable to even move without the greatest of efforts.

Seating himself on the back of a Shadow Ant, he began moving in the direction of the but suddenly stopped, ceasing from calling in his shadows. He looked upwards to find a Dark Silhouette which he could only scowl at.

What the… That's Impossible! I used almost 5% of the Yi I stored in Azura.

Oblivious to his thoughts, Noir, even though he was unharmed, could only gawk at the sheer destructive power his master had. He was astonished that his master had gained such strength even in just 14 years as a human.

He could feel not only the power of the attack but also the strange lasting effects the beam had, as he concluded that not even a True Dragon would not be able to brush off such an attack without some effort.

Had he not obtained an Ultimate Skill that Kokushibo didn't know he did, he was sure that his teacher would find a way to kill him but bypassing it somehow. He was not going to fight to the death, as he still did consider that his teacher still may be able to truly kill a Primordial although he has given up most of his powers from Guy's description.

He was merely trying to fight like old times. He didn't want to kill him and even he accidentally did, he had a way to revive him. Or so he thought, not knowing the Cultivator's lives' working differed radically from the beings of the World he knew.

Seeing the wounded Michikatsu however, he couldn't help but feel a bit guilty. He may be mostly indifferent, but his teacher was the target of his soft spot. Subconsciously, Noir had assumed that his teacher, being the tremendous he is, or rather… was would be unaffected by anything he threw at him.

But this illusion was shattered as he saw the battered state of his teacher with his very own eyes. Wanting to apologize for his actions, he began descending down. However midway he narrowed his eyes, seeing his teacher exuding a draconic Aura rather than the strange unrecognizable Aura that he did earlier.

A dark fog enveloped Michikatsu, bursting out Draconic Energy even greater than the Dragon Lord gave out. He could feel it getting stronger but there was something different. The souls of his Legion of Shadows were disappearing? No, they were transforming into bursts of Yi that started to circle around his soul.

BOOM…

An explosion erupted from the fig that surrounded Michikatsu, blowing apart the miasma which reformed itself as soon as it left.

BOOM… BOOM…

Another eruption occurred, stronger than before as it blew away the trees that somehow remained. Then another, and then again, again and again until it stopped after the 8th.

Silence…

Not even the sound of the breeze seemed to emanate through the Air, as a certain stillness found its way to the Area.

SWOOSH…

In a sudden burst, the miasma around Michikatsu blasted off, revealing someone who looked anything but the Michikatsu Noir had seen before.

Now standing there menacingly was a humanoid monster with draconic scales covering some parts of his dark skin, while the head housed deep purple eyes with 2 black horns protruding from his forehead that arched back to an extent that was comparable to the shoulder length black hair that seemed to flow upwards like a flame, which manifested as a form of purple flames engulfing his skin. Meeting eyes with this figure, Noir couldn't help but shudder as he felt a familiar Pressure that he never once did for tens of thousands of years. The monster's lips parted, giving out a deep cold voice that send chills down his spine. He could no doubt recognize the seriousness and balefulness of the word that left the monster's mouth.

"NOIR"
