18 Next Ruler?

It's been some time since we got our weapons. Shizue got her katana remade and evolved into a god-grade sword just as I got my god-grade spear. Right now we are in front of the Queen.

"So, what do you need from us?" I asked the queen as we sat down in one of the exquisite chairs placed inside her chambers, which were adorned with golden linings and such.

"Yes, I requested you to meet me because I wanted to ask a favor from you," she said, her voice unusually low.

"You can ask anything; we are protectors of this kingdom after all," I said as I put up the "noise cancellation" magic in order not to leak any of this conversation, and she seems thankful to me for that.

"You see, I'm not suitable for being a queen; I'm weak, and I can't protect the people of this kingdom if something happens, which is why I decided to give this throne to you." She said, Well, we did expect this somewhat and were ready to take up the mantle of the rulers of this kingdom, but one thing she said was very wrong.

"You are wrong," I said as she looked at me with a confused face. "You are not weak; the weak won't poison themselves for the people; the weak won't be willing to die knowing that they will die; the weak won't be able to give up their throne to someone else."

I could see tears brimming in the corners of her eyes. "Yes, you are a resilient woman, Queen Tetris; we are glad we have met you," Shizue said, and that was the last straw for her. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she silently sobbed.

"I'm happy," she said between her sobs. Shizue went and gently patted her head, trying to console her.

There are strong women who may be physically weak, and there are strong women who possess both physical and mental prowess. One woman representing each category stands before my eyes.

I could vaguely remember that one time when my mother was ill, even after she was in a horrible state, she was still present at the archery tournament to cheer me on.

I stood up and went in front of Queen Tetris, grabbing her hand and placing my palm on hers, promising her, "I shall take the safety of this kingdom in my hands and lead it to prosperity. I am a man who values his words, so you can rest assured." On this day, Queen Tetris abdicated the Raja Kingdom and handed it over to me.

A knock was heard as Tetris's advisers entered and said, "Everything is ready, Your Majesty; the people have been gathered in front of the palace."

She was about to announce her abdication, and then we would have to announce our ascension to the kingdom.

Walking, we went to the balcony of the palace and looked down at the sea of people who began to cheer as the Queen, along with the heroes—that is, us—stood in front of them.

"Dear people of the magnificent Raja Kingdom, it is I, your Queen speaking to you today with a heartfelt message. After much thought and consideration, I've decided to step down from the throne and pass the torch to the extraordinary Heroes, Karna and Shizue. They are truly the most powerful figures of our time, and I believe they will protect and lead us with all their might.

I earnestly ask each and every one of you to embrace them as your new King and Queen. Their courage and wisdom are sure to steer us towards a prosperous future. Together, let's welcome them with open arms and support their reign, knowing that it holds the promise of a united and benevolent era for our beloved kingdom!"

Once her speech ended, the people stood in a state of momentary confusion, as some erupted into cheers while others expressed their dissent in protest. "They really loved their queen, huh?" were the whispered words of Shizue as she stood next to me.

As I gazed down at the people, I knew that now was not the moment to falter. Today was the day I would become the King of this kingdom, and I must remain resolute.

With a raised hand, I signaled the crowd to quiet down, and as their voices hushed, all eyes turned towards us. Stepping forward, I took a deep breath and began to address the people of my kingdom.

"People of Raja, today I, Karna, stand before you as your King, and beside me stands my wife, the esteemed Hero known as 'The Conqueror of Flames,' Queen Shizue. Together, we aim to shape a brighter and more peaceful future for all our people.

With strong determination, I promise to protect this land and its people from any threat that may dare to harm us. Even if I must face challenges alone, rest assured that the safety and well-being of our kingdom will be my top priority.

Let's come together as one, bound by friendship and shared purpose, to create a realm where peace and prosperity flourish. We know there will be hurdles, but with your unwavering support and trust, we will overcome them all.

I dream of a future where every person in our kingdom can live without fear, where dreams are nurtured, and hopes are fulfilled. Let's embrace our differences and celebrate our collective strength.

Hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder, let's march towards a brighter future. For our people, and for the bond that unites us, I, Karna, vow to be a King who serves and cherishes this kingdom for as long as I live.

Therefore, from this day forward, we'll rename our kingdom as the Kingdom of Anga, in honor of the former queen, who will always be remembered as the last queen of Raja."

I somehow managed to deliver a speech that left the people marveling. The former Queen of Raja had tears of joy in her eyes as I honored her as the last queen of Raja. With that, the kingdom of Raja was gone, and the kingdom of Anga was born, rising from my flames.

Shizue nodded with a smile as she joined her hands with mine, and we stood tall, heads held high. The people, even those who protested at first, started cheering for us with great enthusiasm.

"HAIL ANGA!! HAIL HERO KING KARNA! HAIL QUEEN SHIZUE!!" The loud cheers echoed in the air, showing their joy and approval. It was a moment of unity and celebration, as the Kingdom of Anga welcomed its new rulers with open arms.

We felt grateful for the overwhelming support and the responsibility to lead our beloved kingdom towards a hopeful and flourishing future.

I changed the name of the kingdom because of the previous name of the kingdom.

Raja Kingdom, really? show some creativity Fuze! and one of the main reasons to change the name was that Anga was Karna's original kingdom in "The Mahabharata."
