The Perfect Being (2)

Veldanava's goal was to create a sentient being that could reproduce and live for a long time, but more importantly, that could interact more freely with him.

He had come very close to that goal in bringing Twilight to life.

But he ended up making a fateful mistake, that was when he gave it a name.

The evolutionary process caused sudden changes in Twilight's existence and ended up causing mutations in the concept of the perfect human, making it evolve into a new species.

The divine ancestors.

Divine and perfect beings endowed with immortality and great intellectual capacity, but devoid of gender and reproductive capacity.

Of all colors and skin tones they were, different appearances and body structures, some even had mysterious marks on their bodies.

The ancestors had awakened, they were twenty-four in total.

All these changes were noticeable as soon as they woke up.

Without being named, they evolved to become the same species as Twilight, as they were her dependents.

This seemed to be perfect initially, but at some point, the voice of the world emerged and revealed news that ended everyone's happiness.

Being divine and immortal, these beings were deprived of the only reason Veldanava had created them, the ability to reproduce and populate other worlds.

Even their ability to freely choose their gender was gone, they had become asexual.

This was a heavy blow to Veldanava.

After a while, he sought solutions to this crisis...

Without many options, he tried to create new beings. But since the action came from him, the world recognized such beings as dependent on Twilight and included them in the circle of divine and asexual beings.

Well, there wasn't much to do. By the time he named Twilight, things were already bound to go wrong.

As the ability to reproduce seemed to be impossible, Veldanava thought if he should personally create more of these beings until they reached thousands?

But he came to the conclusion that it wasn't. It would be a boring and simply tiring act, besides, there would be no beauty in it.

Not to mention that due to the divine nature they took upon birth, not many worlds could withstand the presence of these beings, so Veldanava simply gave up on such an idea.

Counting the new ones, the divine ancestors numbered forty-eight...

The next few days were just filled with sighs, thinking about how everything had gone downhill.

"Why does the universe insist on picking on me?

Since I relinquished most of my powers, the world seems to have purposely targeted me.

Almost everything goes wrong... Hahahahaha...If it weren't like that, it wouldn't be interesting Hahahaha..."

Even in moments like those Veldanava still laughed and had fun, it was his way.

With the term universe, he referred to the force that managed the laws of the world and announced important events, the voice of the world. An omnipresent entity that oversaw everything.

...

Twilight was in a shaken state, feeling that she had somehow let her creator down.

Knowing that he was the main reason for the problems made him ache.

It was then that a strong sense of mission arose in him.

He asked Veldanava to let him descend to the central world, claiming that she could help him create the long-awaited perfect being.

His conviction made his words credible. But would he make it?

Whatever it was, that act alone made Veldanava very happy. He even forgot about all the problems for a second.

The reason for such happiness was that for the first time in existence, a being approached him to ask him for something.

Although the request was to help him, unlike the angels who would be waiting to be ordained, that being came to him and decided he wanted to do that.

This made him happy, as it revealed the existence of self-will in that creature, the existence of an ego.

And for Veldanava, beings with a strong ego and unwavering willpower, it was what made the world an interesting place.

Perhaps that was why willpower mattered when it came to magic and skills, only strong-willed beings could easily interfere with the laws of the world.

Maybe that's why demons were so good and proficient in the use of magic...?

Veldanava decided to fulfill Twilight's wishes, even though he didn't have high expectations about helping him create a new being.

So with the help of the world administrator, the great queen of spirits, Veldanava sent Twilight to safety in the central world.

Then this place was called Eden, the abode of the divine ancestors.

...

The moment he descended into the world, Twilight glimpsed everything from her magical sense.

That's when he realized the existence of beings originated by the nature of that world.

Beings like dragons, the fearsome giant fire-breathing lizards from which other species spawned every day.

The true giants or titans, the strongest and most violent beings that roamed that world. A nomadic tribe numbering in the thousands.

There were the original fairies and other beautiful creatures taken from fairy tales, nature spirits who incarnated in bodies specially made by the queen of spirits.

They were more emotional than intellectual creatures.

There were also the fearsome magical beasts. Irrational monsters that were born due to the excess of mana present in nature, or simple animals that underwent an evolution for the same reason.

There were other beings, but they weren't as noteworthy.

The divine ancestor couldn't hide his excitement as he watched and analyzed everything.

After glimpsing for a long period of one hundred years, countless information and possibilities flooded into his brain through [Researcher] and [All Creation] skills.

That's when something welled up inside him, a strong desire originated by a new passion.

<<For the strong desire to carry out experiments and help in the evolutionary process between species. The Twilight individual has fulfilled the necessary conditions to evolve and awaken the unique ability [Evolution].>>

The voice of the world appeared and solidified its desires in the form of a skill.

At that moment, Twilight felt that he had gotten what he needed to help and fulfill Veldanava's expectations.

With the awakening of this ability, Twilight understood the world like no one else had before.

Her powers included: Biological Manipulation; Evolution manipulation; Creation of Life; Personification of Life; Life Force Manipulation.

It was a terrible power that could serve any purpose.

But the individual who awakened her was only interested in one thing. Animate and bring the world to life, just like the one who had created it.

So that's how for the next few millennia, he conducted experiments in search of the perfect being.

An immortal, sentient being that could reproduce and inherit the earth. That was the main objective.

But what no one foresaw.

It was that the divine ancestor would eventually get carried away by his experiments, completely deviating from his primary goals.

If at any time your motives and aspirations were noble.

In the end, the only thing left was the curiosity to know what would emerge from the combination of two or more species.

Without any remorse and having fun with each result.

He went on believing that it was to help Veldanava. But his addiction and obvious folly in performing experiments made his true motives obvious.

Whether that was a good thing or a bad thing was hard to say.

For even if he let himself go, it was undeniable that his experiments led to the birth of different species and races that spread and made the world more interesting.

As was the case with High Humans, Vampires, High Elfs, High Dwarfs, Mermaids, among others.

But it was also true that because of these experiments.

The world was experiencing its most chaotic period since the King of Giants' rampage.

The great interracial war, a war on a global scale where different nations fought for supremacy.

This war lasted about a hundred years.

Where was Twilight in the meantime?

Surprising or not, he was in Eden performing even more experiments. The state of the world did not interest him much.

To make matters worse, the experiments he was conducting would only make the world worse off.

But for Twilight, nurturing her curiosity was all that mattered.

It was for attitudes like this and much more that many would remember him as the idiotic divine ancestor who brought nothing but trouble to the world.

Only his name would never be remembered in history books.

This was due to the influence of a certain Vampire.
