Chapter 5

CHAPTER 5

The next sunny morning began with vomiting and hangover of Lilith and Aster. Sage had early lectures so she woke them up and left. Then the morning continued with them wondering about how they reached home.

"Did you call the cab?", Lilith said while brushing her teeth.

"No. Did you walk with me together?", replied Aster.

"We must have got the drunk powers to come back."

"Right, it must be that….."

"Carrying a knocked out person.. alone… must have been hard for you, right?"

"Hmm right… What?! I carried you? No, wasn't it you who carried me?"

Both of them blankly looked at each other accompanied by silence.

"Check. Check your phone. You must have called someone." panicked Lilith.

"It should be you who should check. You have someone whom you should not call."

"Seems like you called me and then probably you called Sage."

"Yes. Poor Sage. "

Then they went to attend their lectures. And there, Sky woke up just to begin 101 ways to say "Hi" to Lilith. Ron who was witnessing this was grossed out.

It was like luck was playing part in Sky's favor. The journalism department's presentation room had some problems so the students had to come to the building of computer engineering. Well, it was not a big thing since Sky was not able to meet Lilith. But they still had a chance, the lunch break. Sky and Finn were on their regular way to the canteen but Sky was not as usual. His heart began to race as he stepped closer to the canteen. He couldn't remember his morning training.

*badump* *badump* *badump*

And when he entered the canteen, he could not see her or her friends. He was a little disappointed. He thought that he was late or she may be coming later. Then Finn said to find Drake and eat with him. He looked for Drake and he found him. Usually, he would be waiting for others but this time he had someone accompanying him. It was a girl. But he did not pay much attention since he was downhearted.

The girl turned.

"You must be Sky, right? And… he must be Finn.", she said.

Sky recognized her. She was Lilith's friend from that night. But he could not remember her name.

Drake said, "Sky, you might remember her. She is the girl we sent home. Her name is Aster, from the law department."

"Oh… so she is Lilith's friend", Sky said to himself.

"Thank you for helping us that day. We must have been a handful.", said Aster.

Drake politely replied, "No, it was not."

And then a voice came from behind. A very pleasant voice for Sky.

"Aster, where did you go? I had to search for you for so long."

Sky turned towards the direction of the voice. He saw a pair of white sneakers, as his eyes slowly moved up, he saw denim dungaree, a pink shirt, and then her. Lilith. She looked very cute to Sky.

"Come here. I want you to meet someone.", Aster said.

"This is Drake from the Architecture Department, this is Finn, ugh why am I introducing him he's from your department. And this is Sky, from the Computer Engineering department.", she continued.

Lilith smiled and greeted them but gave a slightly weird look to Sky, as she never forgot what happened in the classroom.

"They are the ones who sent us home that night.", Aster said.

"Oh, they sent us home. Ohk", said Lilith.

All five of them began eating together. Lilith forgot about the first impression of Sky. Sky even exchanged a few words with her. After eating they all parted their ways. Lilith and Aster headed toward their department buildings.

"So, will you explain how they were the ones who sent us home and not Sage?" said Lilith with a frowned smile on her face.

"Oh so that guy, with whom I came-"

"Ya ya I know. Architecture department. "

"Will you let me continue? So I met him near my department building and then he said hi to me as if we were good old friends. I thought maybe someone was behind me and he's calling that person. Then he came to me and asked whether I knew him. I thought he was someone's kid saying "Do you know my dad? He is this person, that person" shit, you know. But he was rather polite. He asked me whether Sage explained anything about last night. I replied with a no. Then he explained that we both were knocked out in different corners and then he carried me meanwhile his friend that, computer engineering guy, Sky, ya Sky, he carried you and thus we reached home."

"Ohhh so that happened...."

"Seems like that computer engineering guy is not that bad.", Lilith thought to herself.

"Oh well why did that "Tangled" guy not speak with you the whole time? You're in his class, right?", Aster asked.

"Ya... That…." Lilith said with a grin and cold sweat on her face "I….kind of…..almost fought with him in my class"

Sighed in frustration

"You girl, 20-year-old acting like a 2-year-old. Are you still in your puberty phase? Why did you hit him?"

"I said that I "almost" fought. I didn't hit him. His friend with whom he sits together was in my group for a project. And that guy didn't even do anything for our group. So I just removed his name from our project. His friend had already argued with me and then he also came to convince me so…. I kind of snapped at him. But that was the end."
