Olivia's Concerns

"Michael..."

Although Olivia received the property deed for the large flat, her mind was in a daze when she went to work this afternoon. Her efficiency even dropped by half.

Back home, Olivia grabbed Michael, who was preparing to pack, and looked at him with a serious expression, her lips pressed into a thin line.

Seeing Olivia's not-so-good expression, Michael asked somewhat curiously, "Olivia, what's wrong with you?"

"I'm going to ask you something next, and you must tell me the truth."

Olivia firmly grabbed Michael's sleeve, staring into his eyes with big, watery eyes.

Seeing her serious demeanor, Michael found it somewhat amusing but maintained a serious expression. "Alright, ask me whatever you want. I'll answer truthfully. If I lie, you can have me for dinner tonight."

"I'm not joking with you!"

"Alright, I know."

"You..."

Olivia clenched her small fist, finally asking, "Did you get involved in that business?"

"Huh?"

Michael didn't immediately understand what she meant by "that business."

What business?

Prostitution?

"Just... doing something illegal!"

"Huh?"

"Michael, I'll be honest with you. I suspect you got involved in drug trafficking. Now tell me, is this true or not? Don't be afraid. Even if you did it, I won't blame you. At worst, I'll turn myself in with you. We'll face whatever comes together, and I'll wait for you."

As Olivia spoke, the shimmer of tears appeared in her eyes, making it seem like she might cry at any moment.

"Pfft!"

Seeing her earnest appearance, Michael couldn't hold back and burst into laughter. He then hugged her, passionately kissing her lips a few times after savoring the sweet moments. Only then did he say, "Look at where your thoughts went. How could I possibly do something like that?"

"But how did you get the money..."

Olivia looked at him with a distressed expression.

Today, after obtaining the property deed, she became increasingly uneasy when she returned to the company. She couldn't understand how Michael suddenly became so wealthy overnight. 

Where did the money come from?

Clearly, his family couldn't have given him that much money. His monthly salary was only eight thousand, and she hadn't seen him doing any part-time jobs. Could money just fall from the sky? That couldn't be true, the only fast way to earn money was usually illegal.

Olivia began to suspect that Michael had done something wrong.

This thought lingered in her mind, and the more she thought about it, the more she felt that Michael had done too much for her sake.

Therefore, she had made up her mind. If Michael really got into trouble, she would wait for him.

"Do you know about Bitcoin?"

Michael patted Olivia's head. "Back in high school, I was bored. I heard people saying that Bitcoin was valuable, so I used my New Year's money to buy 200 of them. I only remembered it a couple of days ago."

Of course, he couldn't tell Olivia about the system, but Olivia wasn't easily fooled. Michael thought for a while before coming up with this excuse.

"Bitcoin?"

Olivia blinked. Bitcoin was so popular now, of course, she knew what it was.

But she didn't expect it to be so valuable!

"Can Bitcoin buy a house? Afford a car?"

"Of course..."

Seeing Olivia somewhat incredulous, Michael took out his phone and showed her the current market price of Bitcoin. "See? Bitcoin is now 35,000 per coin. I bought 2000 coins before, and selling them now earned me a net profit of 70 million!"

"70 million..."

Counting on her fingers, Olivia realized it was not a small amount. Even in her dreams, she couldn't imagine having that much money!

"That's great..."

Hugging Michael's neck with a smile, Olivia was almost moved to tears with joy. However, what she said next left Michael dumbfounded.

"That's great, you haven't done anything wrong!"

...Shouldn't the focus be on the fact that they are now wealthy?

Silly girl!

Michael was softened by Olivia's words. He was about to embrace her and comfort her when suddenly, his phone rang loudly.

Olivia quickly pushed Michael away and answered the phone.

It was the delivery point calling, "Miss Olivia, my delivery point is almost bursting with your packages. Come and collect your parcels."

"My packages?"

"Yes, they're all yours. Come and get them quickly."

The caller was Sandra from the convenience store downstairs. Olivia usually had her online purchases delivered there.

After hearing Sandra's words, Olivia was very puzzled. She hadn't bought anything recently, right?

Oh, right! If she remembered correctly, every time the delivery person left her packages at the collection point downstairs, they would send her a text.

Today, she did receive quite a few messages on her phone. However, because she had been thinking about Michael all afternoon, she hadn't bothered to check what those messages were about.

Now, thinking back, those messages seemed to be notifications from the delivery service...

She quickly opened her messages and took a glance. Indeed, there were at least fifty or sixty messages from various delivery services!

"?????"

"Wife, the night you were asleep, I helped you clean out your Amazon shopping cart."

Michael grinned at Olivia, "Why not go down and get them?"

"Shopping... cart?"

Though having her shopping cart cleared was a blissful thing, Olivia felt a bit dizzy now.

She had a habit of adding things she liked to her cart, but sometimes, it was just for the sake of creating a wishlist. It didn't necessarily mean she intended to buy those items!

Especially since her cart often contained many luxury items she couldn't afford!

Michael didn't buy them all, did he?

She quickly opened her Amazon app and, upon finding her cart empty, Olivia was momentarily at a loss for words.

"Having money doesn't mean you can spend it recklessly..."

She pinched Michael's arm without mercy. "Come on, let's go down and get the packages!"

The two of them, hand in hand, went to the convenience store's delivery collection point. Inside the store, Sandra was organizing the deliveries for the day. When she saw Olivia coming, she pointed to the pile at the back and said, "These are all yours!"

The convenience store downstairs was just a small delivery collection point, usually handling deliveries for their building only. Therefore, there weren't many packages. However, today, Olivia's deliveries almost took up half the space, making it crowded and difficult to move around.
