Chapter Four: Luxury Residential Living

陈洋 wore a smile as he looked at Chu Ping.

"Haha, you're straightforward, my friend. Alright, what's your WeChat ID? I'll add you to the group right away."

Chu Ping took out his makeshift phone and opened WeChat.

Clearly, when Chen Yang saw Chu Ping's phone, he was momentarily surprised. However, he quickly revealed an expression of admiration.

"You truly are impressive, my friend. Even your phone is so mysterious. I'm truly amazed. I've learned something about being low-key from you."

The other party seemed serious, not joking.

This situation made Chu Ping somewhat embarrassed. It seemed like he really needed to get a new phone.

As all of this was happening, Chen Yang had already added him to the Ferrari Club group.

As soon as Chu Ping entered the group, it immediately became lively.

Chu Ping looked at it for a while and felt that this group was quite interesting.

After thinking for a moment, he sent a friendly message.

The group continued to bustle with discussions about Ferrari models.

Unfortunately, Chu Ping hadn't really researched much about Ferrari.

Following the directions, Chu Ping indeed found himself in the heart of the city. The bustling area was just a couple of blocks away, and there was even a subway station right at the doorstep.

This residential complex was a high-end neighborhood, offering villas and luxury apartments. It was a pristine and well-maintained area, truly a prime location and the residence of the wealthy.

Chu Ping had never imagined living in a place like this before. The anticipation and excitement in his heart grew as he walked into the residential complex.

However, he was stopped by the security guards at the entrance.

Security in such upscale neighborhoods was always strict.

"No access without a unit number. Who are you and whom are you here to see?"

Chu Ping was about to take out the keys and property deed he had just received when a familiar voice reached his ears.

"Chu Ping, what are you doing here?"

The voice of Qin Xiaoyu reached him, causing Chu Ping to turn around.

Beside Qin Xiaoyu stood a woman, her gaze fixed on him.

After a brief scan of Chu Ping, the woman frowned, her expression turning somewhat unpleasant.

"Qin Xiaoyu, who is this?"

Hearing the woman's voice, Qin Xiaoyu's complexion changed. For a moment, she didn't know how to respond.

The woman's gaze continued to size up Chu Ping, particularly after realizing that Chu Ping and Qin Xiaoyu knew each other. In an instant, she concluded that Chu Ping was trying to pursue Qin Xiaoyu.

Especially considering Chu Ping's modest appearance, the woman didn't hold back her displeasure.

"Qin Xiaoyu, I've told you before. As a member of the Qin family, you shouldn't associate with questionable individuals."

"People who are beneath the Qin family's status are not qualified to be with you. None of the boys at school are worthy, except for that 'Jian Shao' who has a bit of influence."

Her words left Qin Xiaoyu's expression fluctuating, her head bowed, and her lips bitten. She didn't know how to respond.

Chu Ping's face turned grim. Hearing the woman's words, he was far from pleased.

"I'm just friends with Qin Xiaoyu," Chu Ping responded.

Qin Hong glanced at Chu Ping, her cold smile showing disbelief.

"Just friends? You're eagerly waiting here for our little Rain. Do you really think you're qualified to be around her?"

"The status of our family is beyond your reach. Take this neighborhood, for example. Do you really think you have what it takes to enter?"

Qin Xiaoyu's expression turned increasingly unpleasant. She held her mother's hand, almost on the verge of tears.

"Mom, please stop."

But Qin Hong seemed determined to persist. She glanced at Chu Ping and intended to belittle him further, as she believed that Chu Ping was pursuing Qin Xiaoyu.

She wanted those inconsiderate boys to understand that the Qin family was not to be trifled with. Their status couldn't be attained by just anyone!

"Xiaoyu, I'm doing this for your own good. What can this boy offer you? I wouldn't be surprised if he's interested in our family's position, trying to marry into the Qin family."

"He's probably hoping to gain some benefits from our family. Well, let me tell you, it's not going to happen."

Chu Ping couldn't help but find this situation amusing. He and Qin Xiaoyu were just friends, and his act of shielding her from danger was in the past, not the present.

Back then, he might have been looked down upon, but things were different now.

Being looked down upon now only made him coldly smile back.

Staring at the woman in front of him, Chu Ping stated confidently, "Is your Qin family really that impressive? Give me some time, and I'll surpass your Qin family!"

His expression brimming with confidence and pride left Qin Xiaoyu momentarily stunned.

However, Qin Xiaoyu's mother, Qin Hong, had an unpleasant expression. She let out a disdainful snort.

"What do you think you are? Don't think you can deceive us with empty words. I'm warning you, if you dare spread false information intentionally, others won't let you off easily."

"You, with what capability, could buy property in this neighborhood? Let me tell you, if you're deliberately lying, you'll face big trouble!"

With a cold, skeptical gaze, she didn't believe Chu Ping's words at all. In her opinion, Chu Ping was intentionally making false claims. If that were the case, Chu Ping might find himself in significant trouble.
