Chapter 8

But it seems everything is too late for me to contemplate everything as i already foresaw what would happened in the next few seconds

I immediately got away of the supposed target place of the tiger beast and immediately go to the man

"Ho-oh, you're pretty nimble for your age, hm-hm"

I wasn't even surprised that the tiger beast spoke, even the half witted boar can speak so its obvious that this stronger beast would have higher intelligence

I just stare at it blankly, thinking of ways to get away from this monster together with the man

"But i suggest you to leave, i don't wanna take a younglings life with a promising future" the tiger added

The tiger is really a strong beast, to be able to sense me that far, just thinking about it terrifies me already

I didn't even ponder about it one more time as i really need to leave this forest now, if not i might meet much stronger beast than this tiger and that with no doubt the end of me

I immediately run away from the beast and towards the man using very bits that i can

"So you chose this path huh" the tiger as it started to dart off from its previous location

Accelerating my speed while slowing down the tiger as much as possible i tried to go rescue the man as i need him for now

But it seems that i still underestimated the beast too much as it almost got me, if not only for my ability to see the future and reflexes

My heart thump so loudly, pumping more blood to my whole body, i also raised my senses to the max

While going where the man is, i did my best to avoid the beast, i'm using my 100% now just to survive, i long ago decided to abandon flying and just run as it would be much faster since i'm still not used in it

But even with my 100% i still haven't been able to dodge its last attack, it got me flying but since i'm running towards the guy, i was thrown in his direction, i saw him kneeling jn the ground while gasping for air, seems he doesn't have energy anymore

"Die"

While being send flying i immediately healed myself, i immediately got up and ran towards the guy

When i'm almost near him he suddenly shouted

"Watch out!"

I didn't look back and just blinked near the man and immediately used multiple blinks to get away from the tiger beast as much as possible

I bet the beast was surprised that i can still stand despite taking an attack from him and to be able to appear and reappear from place to place

We heard the roar of the tiger even from afar, seems its mad about our escape

I immediately did my everything to get away from that place and get as far as possible

3 hours later using multiple blinks and accelerating myself i started to slow down, the man told me too that this is far enough and it wont chase us anymore

Haaa-haaa-haaa

I gasped for breath as i slowly leaned in a nearby tree

After i catch my breath i looked the old man, when i saw him trying to stop the bleeding all over his body while wincing in pain in the process, i immediately got up and got in front of him

"Let me do it"

He briefly looked at me then closed his eyes and nodded

I immediately healed him using my power, this is my first time doing this to someone so i'm not sure but atleast i know that it would be like when i'm doing it to myself

After a few seconds it was done and he looks like he didn't even took any damage.

"Thank you" the man said suddenly while still looking surprised

I'm about to respond to him when suddenly i felt pain all over my body, i lost all my strength and fell to my knees

I don't know what is happening, i thought the man betrayed me but there are no blood in me, or anything that would indicate that i was attacked

Perhaps because of the fatigue of using my abilities too much, my eyes shut down and my vision darkened

I woke up facing the ceiling of some house, i got up from the bed and realized i am really in a house

Remembering what happened before i lost my consciousness i became alert

I saw a door in the distance and immediately opened it

Beyond the door is a wide enough living room with wooden tables chairs and such

"Oh you're up, come and sit down, let's eat"

I immediately look at my back and saw the man i saved before holding some food walking towards the table in the living room

"You don't need to be on your guard, i won't do anything to you, since you are the one who saved me"

My tense body relaxed a bit but i decided to not be so complacent but still, i walked to him and sat down

"Eat" he briefly said as he started eating

The man looks in his 30s, with an average looking face that you will easily forget

Since i'm already hungry i decided to take a little of the food he served to be sure he didn't poison it, but then i realized that if he really wanted me dead he can do it easily when i'm unconscious so i relaxed more and started to eat

We ate in silence, only the untensils can be heard, i looked around the house while chewing the food

Books can be seen in the shelves, i wondered if i can read those books since i don't know the language here, but when i thought of the time we briefly converse a while ago i can somewhat imagine that we can atleast communicate with each other and talking wouldn't be much of a problem when i get out of here

After i ate the last food in my plate i quietly putted down the utensils and stared at the man when i saw him looking at me too

"You can ask me questions now" he said as he prop his hands underneath his chin

Since he gave the signal already i readied myself for the long talk since he also looks like he has questions for me

The first question that popped out of my head is

"Why did i lose consciousness?"
