Revelations and Realizations

Lorie was standing just outside Emy's workplace. After losing her factory job, she didn't think Emy's workplace would be much better. That night, she went there to see Emy. Last night, her friend got inside her head for no apparent reason. She took a deep breath before walking in. Lorie heard the two women say their goodbyes to Emy simultaneously.

"Lorie," Emy said in surprise as she saw her friend. She immediately went up to Lorie.

Jasmin and Avery halted and gazed at the woman Emy had hugged. "Why are you here?" Emy asked.

"Ah, because..." said Lorie.

"Wait, I'll introduce you to some of my friends," Emy said. "Avery, Jasmin, this is Lorie, my best friend."

"Hi." "Hello."

"How are you?" Lorie asked.

"Miss Emy, we'll go home first. Be careful later," Avery said.

Emy waved at the two women until they exited the building. Lorie cast a glance toward Emy.

"Miss Emy?" Lorie chuckled.
