Chapter 20 : Aftermath

A week later,

A faint smile could be seen on Diana's face as she walked out of a Russian Government building alongside five bodyguards.

Now that Diana had dealt with this part of the Russian Government, she would no longer have to worry that the Russians would cooperate with the Speedwagon foundation on a large scale.

As such, Diana's safety had greatly increased after just a few manipulations and mind controls.

After only around thirty seconds of walking, Diana then walked towards a car that was part of a certain SUV convoy.

Now that the Speedwagon Foundation had found out that she was collaborating with the Russians, Diana no longer needed to conceal herself as much as before, and could now show herself a bit more.

The moment one of the bodyguards opened the door to one of the SUV's, Diana suddenly froze for a tiny fraction of a moment, as a golden figure suddenly appeared in front of her, towards the SUV.

A moment later, at a speed of over 1800 kmph after having been sped up 8 times by her stand, Diana ran in the opposite direction.

It took Diana an extremely short amount of time to cover around five meters, when suddenly, both the SUV, and the ground below her suddenly exploded and sent Diana flying.

Thankfully, though, the Majority of the explosions happened in the SUV convoy, which made Diana escape the brunt of it.

Only a fraction of a moment later, Tempo Symphony suddenly moved to Diana's left side, as hundreds of bullets suddenly began pouring through a wall and towards Diana as the latter managed to land on the ground, rather safely.

At this very moment, by pure coincidence, Diana accidentally noticed something from the corner of her eyes as she jerked her head.

Only a fraction of a moment later, Diana moved her head towards the left at an unnatural angle, as a long metal object suddenly flew towards her at a speed far beyond that of any bullet.

Even more so, this metal weapon was traveling over five times faster than Diana herself, meaning that is she had noticed it in advanced, she would not have been able to dodge it.

But as the metal weapon flew past Diana's head, it suddenly disappeared, being replaced by a person who was holding a dagger in his hands, which had a black blow emanating from it.

As this person was about to stab the glowing dagger, into Diana, a faint smile appeared on the face of the latter, as veins appeared all over her body.

In an instant, Diana sped up by over fifty percent as she pushed her stand beyond its normal power and became twelve times faster than normal.

This great increase in speed allowed Diana to dodge the dagger, which she extremely ominous, and let out a punch towards the stomach of the man.

'I got you, little rat,' thought Diana with a faint smile on her face, before suddenly retracting her punch and retreated as far away from the man as she could in an instant.

A moment later, two other metal weapons flew towards Diana from two different directions, causing Diana, whose speed had been significantly increased, to preemptively dodge then.

Sadly, though, things weren't that simple, as the attacks then transformed into two other men, each of whom stabbed a glowing dagger towards Diana.

...

Thanks to the stand of his comrade, John was able to appear next to his target in an instant, holding a cursed dagger in his hands.

Countless thoughts went through John's mind as he stabbed the dagger, but since things were going so fast, he couldn't keep up in the slightest.

A moment later, John's stand suddenly appeared behind him, causing his thoughts to suddenly speed up hundreds of times, in but an instant, John already noticed dozens of details that he had missed just a moment prior.

'This assassination is over,' thought John as he watched the target, who was seemingly helpless and weakened, ignore the cursed dagger coming towards her and go towards her.

In an instant, the target sped up once again as her muscles instantly began cracking, but this was more than enough, as she moved her body to the side by just an inch, dodging the dagger that John was holding in his left hand.

Of course, all John had to win the battle was stab her with the cursed dagger, but at this very moment, her stand, which previously had no time to arrive, reached her, as it was sped up as well.

In but an instant, the golden stand suddenly touched the left hand of John's own stand, causing his comrade, who was in a safe location far away, to pull the trigger and take John back.

Sadly though, it was too late, as for just a brief moment, the stand of the target managed to touch the hand of John's own fragile stand, crushing it to pieces and ripping it off in under 0.001 seconds.

Because of this, John's own hand that was holding the dagger was also ripped off, allowing the target to take the cursed dagger from it and hold it in her own hands.

A moment later, knowing that the other two assassins would not be able to take care of the target in a short time, Ian, who was standing far away, teleported the two of them to him as well, knowing that the mission had failed.

...

As they looked at Lady Diana, who was standing bloodied next to a ripped off human hand, the few bodyguards who had managed to survive and regroup froze.

Seeing this, Diana shook her head.

"I need to get better bodyguards," mumbled Diana, as Andropov, who had been at the front of the convoy, teleported next to her and helped her support herself.

"What are you idiots waiting for, we need to take Lady Diana away from here as soon as possible," shouted Andropov, who felt extreme frustration at not being able to react in time.

"You don't need to be angry, other than the moment I was first taken by surprise, I was never under any risk," said Diana as the after effects of the extreme overuse of her stand showed themselves once again, making her extremely weak.
