Why did I feel this sting in my chest when I saw Carter and this girl making out?

I despised him he was nothing but mean to me,my whole childhood.

So why?

Why is my chest feeling so heavy all of a sudden...

Do I have... feelings for him?

Something quickly fell on my head making a sound,they suddenly stopped.The fair skinned girl asked."Why are you stopping"

"I need a smoke"Carter replied.

"Now?"she asked angrily.

"Yeah"he said without even looking at her face,then they both walked out.

phew!

I thanked god i wasn't caught,they are gone,I finally got out of the closet,when I turned around I was shaking,Carter was at my front,He asked"You just can't stay away from me can you, Emma?"

"W-what are you talking about?!,I wasn't here because of you!"

He said with a smirk"You're hiding in my closet,in my bedroom,who were you expecting?"

"It's complicated"I replied in an awkward way.He stared at me coldly"You haven't changed in a slightest"

I was shocked by his response,he didn't forget me."W-w... I thought you-"

"That I forgot about you?,Little crybaby Emma?,we had so much fun in the pass how would I ever forget about you?"

I stared at him with disbelief,I was frightened again, it's not fair how could he."You mean you had your fun"I said boldly.

"However you wanna see it, Emma"

"Don't call me that"I said with courage.

"You know what,I will call you whatever I wanna call you,and I can't wait to have fun with you again,like in the good old times" he paused then said something in my ear"I missed you, little Emma"

The next day.

"Emma! wake up,you need to get ready for school!"mom yelled from downstairs.

"I don't wanna get up"I was exhausted and weak.

Why did last night had to be real?

Why couldn't it just been another one of my nightmares.

Why did I have to be careless and stupid to even enter Carter Davis house?

My stupidity reached his new peak.

I got up from the bed lazily and ran into the bathroom,I freshen up and added some light make-up,I styled my hair in beach waves.i put on a long pants and a sweater,I took my back pack and hurriedly ran downstairs,I kissed my mom good bye and missed breakfast again.

When I got out of the house,the first person I saw in this beautiful and bright morning was Carter Davis he was standing close to his car,I wasn't shocked like before he's my neighbor now,no big deal,I ran and hide.

When he droved passed I came out from my hiding spot.

you're definitely going to be the most popular person in school.

I walked into Lakewood high feeling nervous, things seems more different.when I walked in at first there was gossip some hands were pointed directly to me while they were gossiping.i was dumbfounded,what was that for..?

Was it about my outfit again..or what?

What was really happening?

I heard a girl said"The audacity!!!"

Then suddenly there was lot of gossips.

"Gosh who'd have thought the new girl would be so brazen"

Then Sophia approached me"Emma, explain"

what was she talking about?

"Explain what?"what was really going on.

"Y-you don't know?"she said in surprise.

"know what?"I was really getting confused,what was really going on.

Then Sophia showed me a picture of me and Carter so close,so...close In his bedroom behind his closet.

"Where did you get that picture from?!"I said in surprise.

"The whole school has the picture Ems!,it got spread around pretty fast"

"You told me you didn't wanna go to the party"

"I didn't lie"now I was getting angry."I only went because I was scared you'd get yourself into trouble,idiot!"

"And somehow ended up in Carter Davis room with Carter Davis"Sophia teased.

"That's...!! complicated"I felt really sad and humiliated in presence of everyone,I felt sick.

"who does she think she is?"I heard one of the cheer leaders say."stalking Carter like that"

The gossip started again.

It was getting too much,I said quickly.

"I need to go"I told Sophia and I ran off,I heard her call my name but fell on deaf ears, i ran to the restroom.

It was like a coward and took my lunch to the toilet,Ha ha ha ha....

How stupid.

Nothing was going to be planned,yes I got attention on me but all for the wrong reasons.

And again it was because of Carter.

Why couldn't he just disappear from my life.why couldn't he just leave me alone?

I was about to continue my lunch when I heard"Man PE is killing me,dude".

I got frightened,the sound of voices were echoing in the toilet.

The sound of male voice's.

Wait...

I'm I in the male restroom or...?

I peeped through the door,I saw lot of boys.

why are boys in the girls toilet?!

Wait...

Did I enter the wrong toilet?

Silly you,Emma I yelled in my mind.I heard another male voice.

"My muscles are sooore!"

Oh my goodness,I gotta get outta here....!

I kept hearing voices."just say what happened between you and the new girl, Carter!"

My heart kept pounding faster and faster,it was Carter's.

But the voices didn't end.

"Whatever dude,gotta take sh*t now"

"Nobody asked"

I heard foot steps toward me and someone was pounding the toilet door.

Geez.... please kill me!!

"Who's in there?"I heard a male voice over the door.

He kept knocking,none stop.i felt anxious and scared again.

What's gonna happen next?

My legs were seriously shaking.

"SH*T,SH*T,SH*T!!"I caused.

Why the hell was he knocking on the stall,there's plenty others!!

Then everywhere became quiet again,when I peeped again,it was-

He... just saw me me,right..?

I'm really frightened right now,then the boy over the stall said."Why are you not saying anything man?, that's my stall, take a different one"He warned.I kept hearing male voices."What's up,why are you just standing there?"

Then the boy over the stall said "Because that person wouldn't leave my stall"

"Your stall?"I heard him mocked."Are you stupid or what"
