1 Reason 1

"Nin.. don't leave... don't leave me... No," May's voice shook, she pulled his hand to stop him from leaving while clinging to his chest in desperation. Her hair was messy, her cherry lips trembled, and tears rushed down like opened floodgates.

Nin coldly pulled her off his chest and pushed her hand that held his. He frowned, looking at her as if he was looking at worthless garbage, and he couldn't wait to sweep her away.

He turned to walk away, ignoring her calls.

"Didn't you say you won't leave me..... You love me..." Her face wet with tears, she wanted to run after his receding figure but found her feet stuck to the ground. She was crying and shouting at the man who didn't even look back.

The white mist around her became thick, and the figure disappeared into the void.

"No… I don't want to…" She cried.

"At least tell me why?" She screamed. "Why?!"

Her voice echoed in the white surroundings. She touched her face to find it wet, was it her tears?

A white furry head came in her sight as she opened her eyes.

The wet face wasn't her tears, but this dog's saliva. It was licking her!

"Eww, Snow don't." This small squishy body... she squeezed its cheeks. The cutie ran away and jumped down the bed the next instant. It didn't like whenever she pulled his cheeks.

May stretched her arms and sat up in bed...

The same dream again!

May stood up, wore her red slippers, and walked to the washroom to wash her face. She still wasn't used to petting a dog.

She adopted him six months ago when the homeless dog followed her. From then on, the Pomeranian lived with her all the time.

May never considered getting a pet, so she had decided to give him for adoption. But his foxy face, vibrant personality, and magnificent coat of fur moved her.

"Like you don't like me squishing you. I don't like you licking my face." She blamed the dog on the ground.

It's black crystal eyes turned away from her and looked into the distance.

Looking at him acting spoiled, she couldn't hold back her laughter, "Okay, don't do it again."

This dog didn't look at her and gave her the cold shoulder.

"Snow, come on." She walked to it and scooped it up in her arms. The small little thing fit her embrace just entirely.

"Woof woof."

"Behave!" she patted its fluffy head when it tried to run out.

When she brushed its hair, she felt immense peace. As it turns out, she named him 'Snow' after his white and soft fur.

She had no idea if he could understand her, but this dog would respond every time she called his name or called him a dog.

And he hated Nin.

Every time she cursed 'Nin, you are a dog!' it barked continuously, with a happy smile reaching his eyes.

This dog was the closest thing in the world after Nin.

Speaking of Nin, there arose murder in her eyes.

May was the most unfortunate woman on earth. Not because her boyfriend left her, but because she didn't even know the reason he jilted her.

Why?!

This "why" was making her mad as hell. Every night she would dream crying out and asking him the reason.

They dated each other for two years.

The man kept chasing her vanished from her life without an explanation.

"Hmph!!!" Until this day, she remembers the last time she saw him as clear as it happened yesterday.

That night, the darkness of the cold night didn't matter as Nin walked with her. They stood under a street lamp. The swaying and creaking of the old antique lamp didn't matter as Nin was with her.

The dreamy night, he held her, she closed her eyes in anticipation, even puckering up her lips a little bit. After twenty years of her life, May was finally willing to sacrifice her first kiss.

A few seconds later, feeling nothing, she opened her eyes in confusion and saw Nin running away.

He ran away!

May stood frozen on the ground without enough consciousness to follow him.

After that, she never saw him again. He just vanished into thin air!

How was she so unfortunate to meet such a man?! Was he even a man?

How could you walk out of the relationship without informing the other party?! They might be waiting for you!

It has been a eight months since he had gone. She was still waiting for him, with a cold glint in her eyes, to answer her question, "Why?!"

"Woof Woof" came a voice from her arms. The black eyes had gotten teary and painful.

"Oh, sorry." In her hate, she fisted her hand and forgot that there was a small body squeezed in there.

"Snow. That Nin bullied your master. When you see him, you have to take revenge for your master." She stroked the soft white fur smooth and moist, like a dandelion seed.

"Woof woof," It nodded.

"You bite him? When he comes back, you bite him? He bullied me okay, I hate him. He bullied your master." Her face turned as a bloodthirsty beast, and she made a biting gesture, she would skin him alive if Nin came before her.

"I will feed you your favorite tandoori chicken." A sinister smile appeared on her face.

"Woof woof" the white thing whimpered.

She sighed, looking at it. It turns out she forgot her dog was a scaredy cat. Even the big bribe wouldn't work.

"Why did he leave?" she mumbled. The question had tortured her for months. May got her phone from the bedside table and dialed the number which was carved on her mind.

As expected it was turned off.

Today she was going to get things resolved.

(Reason 1 ___ He didn't love me.___)

"He didn't love me. This is the most common reason for breakups in a relationship.

Maybe If I met him again, then he would say 'Let us be friends forever' and part ways." May said.

Snow bounced in her arms and screamed: "woof woof" (No).

She threw her mobile phone to the side "Yaa. This is just what stupid internet says 'The most common reason for the breakup.' It's rotten giving people wrong advice."

It should be known that she was reading from her phone. To get her question resolved she went to ask google senpai and later cursed him for a petty reason.

She picked Snow, placed it on the bed, and walked to the mirror.

"You say. Who dares to reject this young, pretty lady. This diamond face, almond eyes, straight nose, and cherry lips. God took a lot of time to make me."

"Not only am I a beauty but also I am so kind. Anyone who saw me will fall in love with me at first sight, just like Nin did." This narcissistic woman kept on going praising herself as she got ready.

She chose a white chiffon knee length dress from her closet.

"This can never be the reason." She sat beside the mirror and painted her face with a layer of makeup. "Besides who was the one who took that homeless man when he was on the street like a stray dog!"

"Woof" Snow screamed. Maybe he didn't like being compared with Nin.

"I am sorry, Your Majesty. It was just a slip of the tongue. That Nin, he can't be compared even to a stray dog. Hmph!"

"Ohh, a slip of the tongue" May bit her tongue.

May completed her make up with a soft pink lipstick. Glancing at her face, she smirked in admiration, "Mirror mirror on the wall. Who is beautiful of them all?"

"Woof" came to a scream from the chubby body rushing at her feet. She giggled patting Snow.

Although she had a flawless appearance, at this moment it was far from perfect. Somehow she couldn't see this chubby face with shrunken eyes and deep dark circles under it as the same gentle beauty in white she had been months ago.

But excited, Snow ran in circles around her. No matter what, his master was getting ready after spending months in this closed apartment.

May was a novel author who stayed in her apartment most of the time. When Nin came to her life she experienced life like never before. He moved in with her and got her out. Morning walks, amusement parks, candlelight dinner became part of her life.

After the break up with Nin, she never stepped out of her apartment much. Even her inspiration for writing was gone. Today if not for proving the reason wrong she wouldn't go out.
