I found myself staring at the door leading towards Marcus Zephanie's lab. I was contemplating what Avalyn has just told me. I was certain that she was telling the truth.
There was no doubt that she was else, she won't gamble telling me the truth. At least now, I was no longer confused whether who Shay Zephanie was. The only thing I need to figure out was the question of what was her relationship with Marcus Zephanie?
"Are you alright?" Eve commented, passing by me. I forced my lips to part into a smile. Hopefully, I looked convincing enough for Eve to believe that I was fine.
"Never been better," I stated, shifting my focus towards her and away from the door of the laboratory.
"You were in deep thought just now. Is there something bothering you?" I looked at Eve.
"My lost memories, Eve. I can't say that it was not bothering me because it was. It is," I said.
