Chapter 39

Olivia's hand trembled as she touched the handle to their apartment. She took a deep breath and opened the door. There was nothing out of the ordinary, other than pink rose petals scattered in a path towards their bedroom.

"If you're gonna be spread out on that bed, naked? I have some sad news for you..." Olivia joked as she followed them.

She walked up to their cracked bedroom door and slowly pushed it open. Noah was nowhere to be found and it suddenly made her worry. She got lost in negative thoughts. Whether she had upset him with something she had said at the photoshoot. Her heart pounded in her chest, until her gaze fell on a pink gift box on the bed.

She walked up and saw a bouquet of pink roses on top of it. Olivia picked them up and took the card from inside of the wrapper. "For the most beautiful goddess in all of the universe." She rolled her eyes and brought the flowers to her nose, breathing in their fresh scent. She sighed and set them down on the bed.
