Spark

Thanks to Hayley's kindness Klaus and Elijah treated me more humane. Over the period of a night, I had told them about their new world and the powers that I have as a werewolf and as an alpha and in return they all told me their abilities and origins as well. I already knew all of that and pretended to be surprised and drawn into their stories.

Hayley started to feel some pregnancy pains, so I slowly walked over to her to show them I was no harm. Klaus and Elijah, both watched me like hawks still not fully trusting me. I asked Hayley if she was ok with me touching her and she gave me consent. Slowly I reached over to her stomach until my hand was wrapped around it. Black lines started to appear on my arm going up my veins and spreading through my body.

The discomfort Hayley felt was diminishing as pain started to show on my face. I quickly let go once I felt all the pain was gone from her body. If I went any farther, I might have started stealing power from her spark. Hayley responded with a "Thank you" and I just smiled and walked back to my seat. I thought to myself that it was interesting that they too had sparks in the world.

"What exactly was that?" Klaus asked

"It's called pain absorption; I can take some of the pain from people and transfer it to myself. It does have some drawbacks though."

"Could it kill her" Elijah asked raising a brow

"It can, if I take all her pain, I can tap into something more supernatural… you see everything supernatural has a spark and if I kept syphoning her past the pain I can start taking from her spark and in doing so I'd become stronger".

They made me promise to never steal from their sparks. I honestly told them I never planned to, and they must have listened to my heartbeat and believed me because they all relaxed more after hearing that. Klaus asked me if I wanted to become stronger and this time my brow rose. "What did you have in mind" I asked, and he smiled devilishly saying "you'll see" as he disappeared before my eyes.

"Were you serious about taking us back to your home? "Elijah asked

"Of course, I don't mind, as long as you don't kill anyone it should be fine. From what you guys told me this should be a fresh start for you. You have no enemies here no one hates you or wants you dead. This is a perfect chance for a new life for you and your family." I replied

Elijah looked at me and contemplated then looked over at Hayley and smiled "it's like a new hope for our family". Hayley heard his words and smiled "she will be our Hope for the future". Klaus could be heard with a laugh that got closer and closer "Hope Mikaelson I like the sound of that". He appeared next to Elijah with the body of a man.

"This man just tried to rape a young lady in the alley. I have an experiment I want to try and he's your Ginny-pig". He informed Elijah and me that this man is a new vampire that he created.

"Syphon him…and let's see how strong you get" Klaus ordered.

Elijah ran over to the man with vamp speed and restrained him. I was also curious what would happen if I syphoned him completely. The next moment without even knowing it I was walking towards him. "So, you like being in control, right? You like taking what you want?" I asked the man as I put a hand on his shoulder and started to take his pain. As he felt better, he must have assumed I was okay with him because he replied "YES" with a smile from ear to ear.

In that moment I felt no more pain coming from him, but I wanted more. I spread my syphoning feeling into him as I felt a spark and power start to enter me. I smiled for a second and Klaus saw, but then I frowned "It appears I do too". He looked at me with his smile before he felt pain. Klaus smiled with a look of satisfaction and praise as the man was screaming. My eyes glowed red as I snuffed out his spark.

"How do you feel Chris" Klaus asked me clearly amused

"I feel... amazing "I looked at him with a sadistic look.

My body felt stronger, faster, and more durable it was a feeling I knew was bad but wanted more of. It was like giving a kid candy for the first time and telling him he could never have it again. I told them how I was feeling and how although it was more power it was still only a tiny fraction of power. Klaus began bringing more and more people he had just turned for his experiment and I grew stronger with each person I Syphoned.

Elijah asked for a quick spar to gauge my strength and I agreed to it.

"You know Elijah, more happens to a Lycan than their eyes changing color." I started taking my shirt off revealing my 6 pack and built muscles.

"Do be so inclined to show me then" Elijah said without moving

My eyes glowed primal red, as my face took on slight wolf like features and my fangs grew, I flicked my hand and claws came out of my nails. I ran at Elijah throwing a fake punch at his face. He went to block but I turned it into a swipe and clawed into his skin. I was surprised I was able to leave a scratch on him. It wasn't enough to break skin, but it was a scratch none the less. I sensed him swinging back so I moved right before he could hit me. I knew to him it was like swatting at a fly, but I had more to show. He swung again and I caught his punch and pulled him with all my strength. He went forward losing balance as I spun and kicked his knee out causing him to take a knee. He smiled asking if that was all I had. I heard clapping coming from Klaus's direction.

"So, you can take Elijah when he's giving you 10%? not bad kid" he said smiling

Elijah smiled and grabbed my arm throwing me across the room with ease.

"Ouch did you have to do that? " I let out in pain

"No but this was my favorite suit, and it turns out I don't have any more in this world" Elijah said with irritation blended into his words.

From that point on the Mikaelson's and Hayley made themselves a part of my life and training. Klaus compelled my dad the next day into thinking he was an old family friend. They hung out and he even told him he was thinking of moving to Beacon hills. My dad was happy to hear it and bragged about everyone there and how they were good people, well, minus the Sheriff. He also compelled my dad to let me stay with my mom and Scott since he's so busy all the time. He agreed and called my mom to set everything up. I would arrive the day school started and miss the first day.

I smiled thinking it would be a good idea to let Scott turn before I show up. I don't want to mess with the story line if I can help it. Also, I would be in Scott's grade this year since I got held back. Moving around so much destroyed my grades so a fresh start is needed. I'm worried some of the others in Scott's grade might look down on me for being held back.

Hayley hung out with me when Elijah wasn't around and when Klaus was busy hanging out with my dad. Hayley told me more about the wolves of her world and how she doesn't have family. We bonded fast and became close friends. I told her about my brother and how he loves lacrosse even though he has severe asthma and how my mom is our best friend who likes to ground us for doing fun things. Hayley laughed at that "Sure if your idea of fun is giving her a heart attack". I laughed yeah, she's still our mom after all's said and done but she's a cool mom.

Elijah left for Beacon hills to get a house close to mine and to prepare things for their arrival. He came back 3 days later with over 30 vampires he had made and told me to syphon them with my pain absorption. I did as he asked and every day after he came with more and more vampires for me to grow on. At this point I could leave a decent scratch on Elijah breaking skin and all. He smiled at my improvement.

Around the last day I would be in New Orleans Hayley, and I were hanging out. We were talking more and more about our lives and going into the deep stuff. I started to feel more power swelling inside me. I felt a connection with Hayley and then with Hope who is still in her mothers womb. Hayley looked at me and I her.

"Did you feel that?"

"I did, I felt more power then when I take others sparks." I replied

"I felt more strength and more control over my wolf. I feel like I could control my shift more if I practiced." Hayley said with surprise in her tone.

"You know I'm new to being an Alpha and even a Werewolf well Lycan. I've heard when others join an Alpha's pack their strength and control become stronger."

Hayley looked at me and asked if that meant she was a part of my pack now. I replied to her with confidence "No Hayley you and Hope are both a part of my pack now". She looked a bit concerned and asked me not to bring that up to Klaus until she talked to Elijah about it. I agreed and asked her if she was mad about it. She reassured me it wasn't a problem to her, but Klaus might not like it. We agreed to keep it a secret until Hayley tells Elijah.

Later that evening my dad was helping me pack. I was leaving for Beacons hills in the morning. He got me a going away present, a necklace with a moonstone in the shape of a wolf. I looked at him and he chucked you're Uncle Klaus helped me pick it out. I looked at him with a brow raised…. "Uncle? Klaus?" He laughed "yup he's my oldest and dearest friend". I almost fell over in shock hearing him say that.

The next day my dad gave me a hug and a handshake and told me not to drive mom crazy. I looked at him and told him "I can't make any promises, but I'll try to behave himself" he gave me a nod and shook my hair. He began to throw my bags in the trunk of Klaus's 69 Chevy Camero. Hayley was in the front seat with big sunglasses and a white sundress on. He told me to hop in the back, so Hayley got out and let me in. Klaus waved to my dad and burned rubber. My dad chuckled "still the same Klaus I remember" he watched us until we could no longer be seen.
