Ch.44 Naked and Afraid pt.2

It was cold outside but the sun was out and it gave that sweet sense of warmth. The day was starting out good so far. I just hope that it stays that way. When we got close to the school Malia and I smelled a new smell. It was a werewolf but it wasn't Scott or Derek… maybe it is someone new from Derek's pack.

I would like to see who he got. But before I could the person was gone… I was about to park my car but I saw that Jackson had taken my space, although the parking space wasn't assigned but everyone knew that's my spot… I was spacing out when I heard a honk and I just sighed and parked beside him.

Malia and I got out of the car and I took my bag and I asked her, "You ready?" She stopped and looked at the school and said, "Eh, we'll see…" I chuckled and said, "That's as good as I get… let's go."

She nodded and we started walking inside the school and as we were walking inside everyone was looking at her, like everyone and she was confused and she asked, "Why are they all staring?"

I smiled and said, "Well, you are the new girl… don't worry it'll wear off."

We then went to the administration's office and I gave her the papers and I said, "Remember your story, don't be nervous, you got this okay?"

She sighed and she nodded, "I got this."

I smiled and said, "Best of luck."

She went inside and I waited outside for her. I could hear everything she said, "Ah, hello… I am a new transfer student." But Bertha didn't say anything, she was busy on the phone. She just extended her hand asking for something and Malia didn't understand her and just shook hands with Bertha.

Bertha then looked at Malia and said, "I need your documents sweetie…" it was a very polite sentence with a lot of underlying rage. Malia then quickly hands her the papers. Bertha then goes through the docs and says, "You from Kansas?"

Malia nods her head and says, "Yes, Lunar town, Kansas… yup."

Bertha nods and just scribbles somestuff calls someone and right now I was just hoping that the documents check out. After like 15 or something minutes, she hands Malia her class schedule, her locker combination and school rule book which is just paper weight. She takes the stuff and gets out of there.

She came out and said, "I got it…" She was happy and I smiled and said, "Nice, let's get you to your class then."

She then looked at me and asked, "Don't you have class as well?"

I shook my head and said, "Nah, we have practice first so I am fine, I can make up some excuse." I looked at her and asked, "What do you have?"

She looked at her schedule and said, "Government… what is that?"

I shook my head and said, "Basically you'll have to just memorise stuff so no problem let me show you to the class then."

The class was on the second floor left wing 2nd room. I dropped her to the class and went to practice. I was a little late. Everyone was already dressed, so I started to strip and I could hear conversations, "I can't believe man, I knew she was crazy and all but to go out buck naked…" "man Lydia must be something in the sack."

I stopped and I looked for Stiles, I saw him, he was with Scott. I walked towards them and I asked, "What the heck are these guys talking about Lydia being naked?"

Stiles sighed and told me the whole thing, Lydia woke up yesterday but ran away from the hospital naked. They tried to find her but couldn't. I looked at Stiles and I said, "Come on man, I thought we had an understanding… why didn't you call?"

Scott said, "How could we, Allison was with us? And you have made clear that you don't want her to know about you and that other chick."

I looked at Scott and said, "It's Malia and you've met her plenty to remember her name…"

Stiles said, "Okay, look we are sorry… can you help… we can use an extra set of hands."

I looked at him and asked, "Are the hunters involved?"

He then looked at Scott and then said, "Not too sure on that… but we did see 'em near Derek's house or his old burnt probably haunted house… so glad he moved out of there."

I looked at Stiles and said, "If we are not sure then we move assuming they are looking for her and there is a good chance that they may kill her…"

Stiles was scared and Scott said, "But she hasn't hurt anyone and they don't kill without the code…"

I stopped him and said, "Didn't stop Kate." Scott realised the gravity of the situation and I said, "We need to be the ones who find her and fast…"

We decided to start looking for her as soon as school ends and I have made sure that both of us look at different places so there is no overlap. I really don't want to be seen. After the practice ended it was time for some calculus and then lunch. I had told Malia to meet me in the parking lot behind the school.

I was walking towards the parking lot and I saw Malia and Erica sitting under the tree. It was our usual spot. I walked upto the tree and sat down and Erica asked, "How was the practice big man?"

I nodded and said, "It was good but… Jackson is acting up again?"

Erica clicked her tongue and said, "That pretty boy never learns does he…"

I chuckled and asked Malia, "So how are the classes?"

She nodded and said, "I don't really know… I think I understand some of it…"

Erica chuckled and said, "Don't worry man, you'll get the hang of it and besides you have this dumbo over here to tutor you…"

Malia and Erica chuckled and I said, "Words hurt, Erica…"

Rest of the school day went on easy for me, Malia was mostly overwhelmed with work, she had a tough first day but the day didn't end yet. I told her about the situation and she quickly agreed to help… We were on the eastern side of the forest. I kept my car at home and we got out to search for her.

Stiles had given us her gown for her scent. We were trying to get her scent. We were running around in the forest trying to get her scent. We searched for a long time but we didn't find her. We stopped to take a breather.

We were sitting on the ground and I looked above, the sky was getting dark. It would be night soon. We really need to find her soon. "I really didn't think I would help you find her…"

I looked ahead and Malia looked at me and said, "I really don't like her, from all things you've told me about her, she doesn't seem all that great of a person…"

I nodded and said, "Lydia is a bitch, I agree but she still is a friend and she got attacked because of me… I can't help but feel responsible… and besides however bad she may be, she still doesn't deserve this."

Malia smiled and got up and said, "Well, we better find her then…"

We both got up and we started running through the forest again trying to pick up on her scent and we did find something, it was very faint but I was sure it was her and there was something else as well it was blood. We ignored the blood and tracked her. Malia and I ran faster and we came in contact with her. She looked crazed and shocked. We walked up to her and I removed my shirt and gave it to her and I asked, "Are you okay?"

She was still pretty shook and she just nodded. I looked at Malia and I called 911. I was happy we found her before anyone else. I would like to ask her so many things but it doesn't seem like she'll be able to answer them now. We got her out of the forest, she couldn't walk, she had blisters on her feet so I carried her.

Police and ambulances were already dispatched to our location? That's not right, why are they here already? I think it had something to do with that scent of blood that Malia and I smelt.

After we reached the clearing with all the police and ambulance they took Lydia away. Malia and I got questioned a little, mostly about why we were here and looking for her.

I also found Stiles here for some reason? He was happy to see that Lydia was fine. But he asked me if I had seen Scott and I told him that I haven't since school ended. I don't know what Scott is doing but it was time for Malia and I to leave.
