Cinderella? 2

It might hurt but moving on is just a way of life. Parents loose their children, children loose their parents, spouses loose their spouse, siblings loose their siblings and so on. But that's just the essence of life. We give, take, lose and share.

Another month passed by in a flash. But some memories weren't that easy to forget, some habits not quick to change either.

Amber now lived with Tristan.

Yes the boy who met her in her room.

She was now locked up in a room, all hurled up. Her 'prince charming ' had tried to save her but only made matters worst.

Her sorrows just kept increasing. From one torture to another. One dictator, as she puts it, to another. The thought of ending her life had crossed her mind many times. She even carried it out twice but was always stopped.

If she had no use here, why can't she die in peace?

Why can't she join her mother in peace?

Amber sat on the bed with her head burried between her legs. Her hair scattered along her back falling and swaying gently beside her leg.

She immediately stiffened feeling a cold hand on her exposed arms. She didn't need to put her head up to know who the hand belonged to but it didn't change the fact that she wasn't okay.

She felt afraid of the person.

Tired of her life.

Hopeless of the future.

Longing for her freedom. Even though she knew getting that would be like hoping to find a waterfall in a desert.

Tristan retrieved his hand with a sad expression. He knew she was hurt. He knew she was scared. But he just wanted to be by her side. Just want her to open to him. He might be rude but not to her.

"Are you okay?"

He asked seeing that she still had no intention of lifting up her head.

"Ye_yes. I'm okay thank you."

She managed to control her stammering and trembling body. She felt the bed sink deeper beside her and also shrinked more into the headboard.

"Are you scared of me that much Amber?"

Amber didn't answer. She just tried to cover her head as if expecting a beating from him. After all that's the way she was raised. Beaten up at the slightest mistake. So much that she gradually lost herself. The life and stubbornness in her eyes died away. Leaving a scared and pleading look all the time.

Tristan clenched his fists but unclenched them again and left the room in silence.
