Teadium Vitae

Depressed MC reincarnates into various worlds, trying to find a passion/something to live for. Feels he doesn’t belong. Doesn’t want to die, but feels everyone would be better off if he did. Slow mental progression across the worlds. Will be a loner, so don’t expect any harems or large friend groups. Not a writer by any means, just someone trying to vent their thoughts in a story format. Also not saying everything the MC does would be something I would do (would be a very short and even more boring story if so). Mostly anime worlds unless I come across of tv show I want to do. Not planning on them carrying over anything from previous worlds besides experience, probably not even going to be over powered, just going to exist in these worlds. Have fun :) List of worlds currently planned: 1. Pokémon: (In progress) 1st World -Everday 2. Reincarnated as a slime: (In progress) 2nd World -Alternates days with Naruto 3. Naruto: (In progress) 3rd world -Alternates days with Slime 4. SAO: TBD 5. Overlord: TBD 6. Demon Slayer:TBD

On the way to Vermilion... Eventually

"99-0 hmph I bet he doesn't even have any badges, I'm gonna battle and beat this AJ!" Ash boasts.

"And you only have 10 wins, while your badges were given to you." Misty shoots back.

"Alright alright let's see if he's even here." Brock being the "adult" of the group speaks up before Ash can respond.

Hmmm, it seems he still didn't beat Brock or Misty officially. Oh well. That's when they finally saw AJ, funnily enough they didn't see me yet. I could escape before they noticed, but knowing them I could go to Hoenn and they'd somehow end up over there. Might as well just stick around I guess. It seems AJ has accepted Ash's challenge, I wonder if it will go the same now that Ash has been learning at least a little from Brock and Misty.

It went about the same, a little bit closer with Ash at least getting a couple good hits on Sandshrew. Not to mention Pikachu seemed to not be as reluctant to battle like he was in the show.

"I though maybe another trainer from Pallet would be another good match, but it seems you're not even close." AJ taunts Ash.

"Alan came through here?" Ash asked hopefully.

"Came through here? He's been watching the battle the whole time haha." AJ responds before slowly pointing his finger over to my location.

They really didn't notice me this whole time, but AJ knew where I was. Hmmm maybe it's out of sight for a certain amount of time they can't locate me? No point worrying about it because currently Ash and gang are making there way to me and it doesn't quite seem to be friendly. Sigh, how do I get myself into this stuff.

After a verbal beating from the trio, a failed Pikachu grabbing by Team Rocket and a farewell to AJ we start on our way to Vermilion. Again.

I used this time to show off Flos to them all and how I caught it right outside Mt. Moon. Ash was jealous but he was practically a bard in how he described the Clefairy fiasco in Mt. Moon. It indeed would have been nice to get a Clefairy, but I've already decided my team. Maybe if there were Fairy types already i would have replaced something for a Clefairy, but oh well. There are better Fairy types in the later regions anyways.

Me and Ash had a battle and I decided to test Flos against some flying opponents and see how he faired. He did lose to a Beedrill, but that was trained by AJ and Ash is definitely not AJ. It was a close match. Ash started with Butterfree which kinda sucked for Flos. I was hoping Ash would use Pidgeotto first while Flos was in perfect condition, but it wasn't meant to be. After playing keep away against Butterfree, Flos eventually defeated it by wrapping it with vine whip and slamming it to the ground.

Next he sent out Pidgeotto, Ash still isn't too battle savvy yet, so when he sent Pidgeotto for a tackle I had Flos immediately use stun spore. Slowing the bird down significantly and giving Flos a better target for his razor leaves. It still drug out and with Ash switching up his strategy to only ranged moves I thought Flos might be done for. But he dug deep and after Pidgeotto flew a little too close, Flos fired off a super quick Vine whip which snagged the bird out of the air slamming it on the ground before Flos finished it with a headbutt.

Severely weakened , but wanting to continue, Flos battled Pikachu. This one was again close with Ash not using Pikachu's electric moves to the best of its abilities. Whenever he would quick attack or tackle I would make sure to punish him with stun spore and vine whips, but Pikachu was too quick to get a solid grab, or for the spores to have an immediate effect. Eventually Ash started using some Thundershocks which after few hits finally took out Flos. However his Pikachu was tired from all the dodging and the stun spore was starting to show its effects.

Overall Flos had a great showing and I was proud of him, he's also getting ever so closer to evolving. Hopefully soon. With the battle over and our rest finished we continued down the path. A few hours later we came across the Pokémon academy kids. Rather arrogant, but I'm used to people like them. Nothing really changed since I wasn't noticed and I didn't bother to butt in on this ridiculousness.

Poké Tech behind us we somehow ended up following Ash into a forest. No real Pokémon of note there, but for some reason Misty tried to catch an Oddish because it was near water? Strange reasoning, but I never thought she was the brightest anyways. One positive I suppose is that Ash got his own Bulbasaur, though I don't know how good a Bulbasaur who doesn't want to evolve is.

Also pretty sure Brock is a masochist, the crazy woman who runs this place had traps all over the place. Brock fell off a bridge into a river for ROBs sake, and he still tried to stay with her. I'm just glad to be out of here.

Ash is also just racking up the Pokémon, he's already got the abandoned Charmander. I must admit Damian was even more annoying in person. Thankfully we got that over with pretty quick because I'm ready to get squirtle already.

We finally ran into the Squirtle squad and I know which one I'm getting. When Ash first tried to attack the squirtles, one jumped out in front of the leader to take the electric attack. I definitely want a Pokémon as loyal as that, obviously don't want Ash's squirtle since it never evolved. After catching her I named him Caeruleum or Cae (Kay) for short which is Blue in Latin. Decided to use blue because Blastoise is on the cartridge for Pokémon blue. Glad to finally have my 3rd Pokémon.

According to Ash we should be on route 24 or 25, which also means there should be an Abra somewhere around here. When we took a break I told them I would go look for the fire wood, while really I was going looking for Abra. Giving Cae and Flos the most battles to give them some more experience and get used to their fighting styles.

We just finished taking out a stray Pidgey when I finally saw an Abra slumped sleeping against a tree. Sending out Flos to spread sleep powder over it to ensure it stays asleep I throw my Pokéball and after 3 wiggles it dings of being caught. This was a Pokémon I was really looking forward to, in the games I never had a way to trade a kadabra and get Alakazam, so now that I'm not bound by those restrictions I can finally have one. I'll start focusing on Abra's psychic training right away, so I can have a crazy strong Alakazam. Now for the name, hmmmmm Abra is a he. Sooo how about Animo, Latin for mind. That'll work.

I wonder if I'll be able to talk with Animo since he's a psychic type. Would be cool to be able to battle without giving any verbal commands to him, if only I could do that with all my Pokémon. Well, time to head back to the camp, I imagine Ash will be jealous of my new Pokémon.

"I'm back." I alert the group to my presence. "I managed to catch a new Pokémon too."

"What!? A new Pokémon! Let me see it!" Ash rapid fires questions and demands to me.

"Alright, relax." Motioning my hands a placating manner to keep him from blowing a fuse. Dropping the fire wood I call out Animo, when it appears Ash visibly deflates.

"What even is that Pokémon, and why is it just sleeping?" Questions Ash

"Indeed he is sleeping, but don't let his cute form fool you. He will grow to be a very powerful psychic type called Alakazam." Little does he know this will probably become one of if not my strongest Pokémon, can't go wrong with a good psychic type. This triggers Ash to run off to go catch another Pokémon.

In the games I always caught a bunch of Pokémon, but now it's so more personal I just couldn't see myself catching more than 6 unless I could carry them with me. However I wonder if I can carry more than the 6 like most trainers, but I won't test that until I go to another region. I won't need more than 6 anyways.

Anyways while I was thinking about all this we've made it to Bill's Lighthouse. I'm actually really looking forward to this, like any Pokémon fan I've wanted to see this giant Pokémon. I could only really see a silhouette, but it definitely looked like a giant Dragonite. It never got close enough to really see it though, and with Team Rocket shooting rockets at it, it disappeared back into the sea.

Parting ways with Bill we finally made it to Vermilion City. I can finally sleep in a nice comfy bed, and while Brock is a great cook and I'm not so bad myself it's gonna be great to eat something else. I'm gonna have Flos evolve against Surge, and Cae I'll have try to evolve sometime after St. Anne. Ignea is also close to evolving again, she has easily cemented her place as my strongest Pokémon. Now however it's time to let them rest and get ready to battle Surge. I'm planning on actually watching Ash battle this time to see if he's gotten better.

Author's note: We finally made it to Vermilion. I'm really struggling finding a balance between following what happens in the episode, but not just following the episode completely. So I try to skip thing that I think aren't that important but also scenes that I'm sure people have read dozens of times in Pokémon fanfics. I think I'm gonna start having MC help Ash a little more, maybe little tips and hints here and there, that if Brock and Misty actually cared they would have told him.

Also I'm thinking of going ahead and starting a new volume for a new world, I won't end this just have it seem like he got brought into the next world where this one will eventually end.

Ex: say he got reincarnated into Naruto, I would say after the Kalos League I got reincarnated randomly here or along those lines. The worlds aren't gonna have much carry over into the next worlds besides "man I miss so and so" "after traveling with Ash and them" but you won't have to read this or the preceding volume for any future volumes. Kind of always wanted to do a reincarnated as a slime fanfic, so I might start that next. We'll see

Thanks for reading
