Chapter 26

One day has passed since Ye Qi has found out about what Shen Hong has done to Shen Xiu. Ye Qi had expected that Shen Hong would do many things, however, making his sister a slave with an inscription array wasn't included. Ye Qi would originally think that he would make her spy for them, but not force her that much — it didn't matter since Ye Qi had determined that Shen Hong would die later. Now, it matters badly for Ye Qi. If someone hurts the first wife he slept with, he must be prepared to die.

Now, the priority to Ye Qi is to reach the peak of Gold-rank as fast as possible. The only way is, of course, to have recourses from a hellish realm called the Abyss Prison realm.

"I believe that most of the children in Glory City played here for once. Yet no one across the history could break it." Shen Xiu said, before looking at Ye Qi. She suddenly frowned. Ye Qi had said he wants to have a honeymoon. Although Ye Qi is an adult, he is still young. Could it be that he wants to recall some childhood memories by playing here?

However, Ye Qi's answer shocked her.

"See. It's not a barrier. It's a teleportation array, and it needs some light stones in order to get activated." Ye Qi said. "I'm smart enough to figure it out."

"Since when you were this smart?" Ye Xiu commented, not believing his son's fate.

Originally, Ye Mo had planned to study it when he comes back.

Shen Xiu, proudly, said. "He is my student. I know that he was extraordinary from the others since the first day."

"So, I must thank you then for taking care of him."

"Thanks, father in law."

While Shen Xiu and Ye Xiu were talking, Ye Qi was working on the formation around the barrier. Within a short time, he figured out how to activate the formation and cancel the barrier.

"Alright guys, let me hold your hands, so we may not get lost when we teleport."

Ye Qi didn't know if this is a real detail, however, there was no harm to have his backups. In most of Wuxia, whenever the protagonist teleport with his people, he would get lost from his original group, unless they were holding each other.

Ye Qi stood up between his dad and wife and held Shen Xiu from the hand while Ye Xiu from the sleeve of his arm.

In no time, the three of them vanished from Glory City.

"Where are we?"

"It is raining."

The three opened their eyes to find themselves standing in a foreign realm. They were standing on flat land, covered by a faint layer of grey fog.

There was no sun or something like that, however, there was a faint layer of light.

Ye Qi looked behind him and saw that he was near to the teleportation array.

All he needs to activate it is to find some shiny stones — he knew that as he could see the past of that thing.

As he lifted his head, Ye Qi found that the sky was covered by the clouds. It was raining on him, and the rain was so cold. However, for Demon Spiritualists like them, that coldness is nothing.

While Ye Qi was observing the surroundings, his father and Shen Xiu were looking at him. They were astonished that Ye Qi could make the barrier teleport them.

That was the case for Shen Xiu. She never thought that Ye Qi was this smart. Even though he is a genius when it comes to cultivation, he showed such a thoughtful side that she never thought she would see.

Nevertheless, she frowned.

"Ye Qi, don't tell me that we will spend our honeymoon here." Shen Xiu put her hand on her face. All she wants is some happy memories before her brother comes to ruin her life. However, such a place can't provide happy memories.

"I get it." Ye Qi nodded. His had appears to be uninterested in fighting. Shen Xiu, on the other hand, was looking around wary as she was about to merge.

"Don't bother yourself, Shen Xiu, I get this."

Ye Qi waved his hand, the Meteoric Thunder God Sword appeared in his hand. Ever since he got the Sword Will and the sword, Ye Qi never had the chance to try it. Ye Qi took a deep breath.

He put his hand on his forehead and pushed it back since the rain made his jet black hair fall in front of his face. The raindrops started falling slowly, while the demon beasts were moving in so decelerate motion. Ye Qi started focusing his intent to be sharp, giving his sword a form of aura.

In the next few seconds, Ye Qi's figure turned into a blur. Whenever he meets with a beast, he would wave the large sword, which he could easily lift. It makes blue lightning with each move before Ye Qi moves to the other bunch of the demon beasts.

Ye Qi slaughtered the ghouls around him, tens and tens in so little time. As it seems, the difference in the base plays a role.

Ye Qi turned and looked over, to see a wave of twenty demon beasts approaching. Crouching low and taking one of the stances Kong Ming invented, Ye Qi focused the same sword intent from the emperor. Blue sparks started dancing around the sword. Ye Qi took a step forward and waved his sword, and the sparks turned into lightning bolts that swallowed the wave of the demon beasts, each bolt hitting one demon beast.

Because of the difference in the level, Ye Qi could easily annihilate them with one bolt. Standing up slowly, Ye Qi spun the sword and put it on his back. Ye Qi barely needed to slow the time or even use his skills. It's just his normal Gold rank base. Not to mention, Ye Qi used a very sharp sword intent, which would give him an advantage over Demon Spiritualists from the same level.

The raindrops, which seemed to be barely moving, started moving at their normal speed. When Ye Qi turned around, he saw Shen Xiu looking at him with her eyes widely open.

"That was…" Shen Xiu didn't know what words she should say. Ye Qi showed an astonishing performance. "I could barely see you."

Although she had seen his battle against her nephew, she never expected Ye Qi to be this good.

His movement had been so graceful, so fast, and his swings were so sharp. Shen Xiu felt that she should know more about her husband. Now, in her eyes, he is more mysterious.

Ye Qi just smirked in her direction. She smirked back. However, the smile on her face froze when she saw that Ye Qi opened his eyes widely.

Ye Qi put his hand on the sword and turned into a blur that headed toward her.

When Shen Xiu turned her face slowly, she saw a giant figure, almost as big as a mountain, looming over her. Her heart stopped when she saw tens of thick tongues coming from that giant figure. Easily, by looking at it, one can tell that it's a Gold rank Demon Beast. Ye Qi quickly appeared in front of her and the tongues that were about to wrap her. With the sharp sword intent he has, the tongues, even though they were harder than steel, were cut into pieces.

"Are you okay?" Ye Qi held the sword with one hand, while his other hand was around Shen Xiu's waist. He was still looking at the giant shadow.

"Mm…" Shen Xiu murmured when she looked at the big figure.

She thought that she should merge with her demon spirit and attack.

However, it was not necessary.

*Boom*

A loud booming sound came in front of them. The mountain figure that had been covered by the fog flew backwards. When they looked in front of the fog, they saw a bulky figure, almost three meters tall, with horns over his head. The figure slowly started shrinking and changing to make a human shape.

"Not bad, your reaction speed is good." Ye Xiu, Ye Qi's father, said as he appeared with his hands behind his back. " I have got its demon spirit. But I doubt anyone would have enough physical strength to merge with it. This realm is interesting."

Ye Xiu was at the peak of Black Gold. He obviously had merged with his demon spirit and dealt with the demon beast when Ye Qi had saved Shen Xiu. Ye Xiu was so strong that even such a large demon beast was beaten easily.

Ye Qi nodded. "Let's move soon."

As the three of them started walking in a random direction, leaving the mountain-sized corpse behind them, they stopped upon noticing a big shadow covering them. Ye Qi lifted his head. This time, even Ye Xiu was shocked by what he had seen.

When they looked up, they saw a very large airborne demon beast. If they needed to measure its size, it can be said that it's as big as half of the Glory City.

"Don't mess with it, it's a legend rank at least." Ye Xiu said.

"With such size, would it be able to see us."

Ye Qi commented.

The beast was like a flying pitch-black fish, with multi dark arms in the sky.

The airborne beast simply extended strings from its arm, and pulled up the mountain-sized demon beast, before holding it with one of his claws in one arm.

"If such thing attacked the Glory City and Lord Ye Mo isn't there." Shen Xiu said, a drop of cold sweat running through her head. It was needless to say that everyone would die.

"Let's ignore it." Ye Qi said. "It only exists here."

Ye Qi, as a reader of TDG, knows that this realm was established by someone. Supreme experts can make food chains to breed a specific type of demon beasts. This place, however, was meant as a prison, and for something else. However, that doesn't change the fact that they are here for another goal.

Ignoring it, they moved in one direction, where Ye Xiu spotted a shadow of a far forest.

Shen Xiu was walking. From a while to another, they could see that some demon beasts, the ghouls, would attack them in waves. Ye Qi could easily take care of them while sharpening his skills. Shen Xiu thought the only good thing about this honeymoon was Ye Qi's sword skills. Although, she would rather stay at home and eating with him. But whatever, what can she do anyway.

Shrugging her shoulder, she continued her trip with them.

They soon spotted something.

It was a large tablet, some hundred meters away from them.

However, since they weren't ordinary people, they could see it clearly.

"Ye Qi, what's that." Ye Xiu asked as he pointed toward it. The father has recognised that Ye Qi, who had a plan, should know something about this world.

Ye Qi rubbed his chin, and he remembered what that tablet is about.

It's about a chant left by Emperor Kong Ming. It about infinity. What doesn't have a beginning doesn't have an end.

Ye Qi knows, however, whoever gets it, may clash with the other ghosts and fight them if they ever meet.

Nie Lie, on his way to a higher realm, had gotten the chant or the aura from the tablet in him and faced some strong souls trying to possess him.

To Ye Qi, facing dangers such as ghosts trying to take over him without having a plot armour is not worthy. Safety first. Shen Xiu seemed to be curious to approach that. However, ye Qi stopped her.

He looked around, to the person who is at the peak of the Black Gold.

If Ye Xiu can get the chant and understand it, his cultivation speed would increase, and bottlenecks would be removed from his way. After all, it was created by one of the most mysterious characters in the TDG, Emperor Ming, again. And Ye Qi doesn't remember that Nie Lie faced danger because of it in the Glory City.

"Father, it's a chant. Touch the stone with your hand, and if you are worthy, you're going to learn it. Probably, you will break through the legend rank."Ye Qi said calmly.

If the Glory City… No, the Snow Wind Family gained another Legend Rank, it would be to their advantage when it comes to clashing with the Demon Beasts and the Dark Guild.

Ye Xiu turned to Ye Qi. "Are you sure about that?"

While his dad turned and walked toward the stone, Ye Qi felt the warmth from his wife's chest, and just let it there. Shen Xiu just smiled when she saw him leaning on her chest. Ye Qi is still the person she knows.

Meanwhile, Ye Xiu has put his hand on the tablet. His eyes shone in a white glow.

Soon, Ye Qi's dad closed his eyes and seemed to murmurer something. His soul force, somehow, was rising. He didn't breakthrough, yet. Ye Xiu opened his eyes and turned toward his son and his daughter in law. Ye Xiu just got a powerful chant that would let him breakthrough through the legend rank. However, he had learnt that he needs to fight other candidates in the future and absorb their understanding toward of chant.

He thought it's better not to tell the two here about it, so their fates wouldn't clash.

"Let's move." He said as he gave his back toward them.

Shen Xiu looked at Ye Qi strangely. She expected that he would look strangely back at her. Ye Qi, however, seemed to take this with ease without doubting his father. So, she decided to ask him.

"What about the chant, or whatever it is. Your father isn't talking." She transmitted her voice to him.

Ye Qi shook his head and transmitted his voice back. "It would dangerous to learn about the chant for us. Even if it is beneficial, it would mean that we may clash with other experts who are beyond Legend Rank."

Ye Qi knew the truth. However, if Ye Xiu stayed in the Glory City, he would be safe.

Meanwhile, Ye Xiu seemed to be excited to cultivate. Now, his son became more mysterious in his eyes. That brat, he knew about the chant. Could it be that Ye Qi knows about it as well? Ye Xiu shook his head about the idea. Probably Ye Qi had read about it in some book.

The trip continued. The ghouls and the other demon beasts hadn't been a problem with Ye Qi cleaning the way for them. Very soon, they spotted a shadow of a forest with very large trees.

"I can sense some living people here." Ye Xiu said.

Ye Qi nodded. "You got that right."

"So, what should we do now." Shen Xiu rolled her eyes. This honeymoon is the strangest one. She thought that she probably deserves it for having a brother like Shen Hong.

The three of them jumped and landed on the top of the trees, standing on top of branches.

As they were moving slightly, they suddenly sensed some soul force, someone whose rank is Gold rank was standing in front of them, and it didn't seem to want to stop.

"Stop right there." Said a feminine voice in front of them.

When they looked forward, they saw a girl, a teenager, with average hair, brown tied hair with bangs covering her forehead, and green eyes, standing in front of them, wearing armour.

Shen Xiu raised her guard.

The reason was that girl had big silver wings on her back.

So Shen Xiu assumed that the winged girl is merged with her demon spirit, and her hostile glance didn't show anything good.

"What do you want." Shen Xiu said.

Ye Xiu stood up in front, put his hands behind his back, and observed. He was about to talk, however, Ye Qi patted his sleeve.

The silver winged girl said with a stern voice. "This is the territory of the Silver Winged Family. Introduce yourself. If you are an enemy then you will face death."

"Tough little girl." Shen Xiu half closed her eyes. This girl is Gold Rank, and a high star as well. However, there was something strange. Shen Xiu felt that this girl's physical body is so strong. Even her thighs were muscular and well defined.

She assumed that she is a fighter. And her demon spirit didn't seem to be strong.

"What did you say?" The silver winged girl pulled her sword from her back.

Ye Qi stepped in front and lifted his hands. "We know who you are." Ye Qi said. "No hostile intent. We only came for a trade." Ye Qi then took out a storage ring from his ring and threw it toward her.

(AN: yes he knows about what kind her family is.)

The silver winged girl held the ring and observed them carefully. She saw that Shen Xiu was only a Silver rank. Meanwhile, Ye Qi, even though he didn't reveal his power, he looked to be young. So, she assumed that his rank is the lowest. On the other hand, the old man seemed to be the strongest, with an unknown level, but he can't be legend rank.

As a person from this realm, she assumed that they are fighters as well.

She observed the ring and opened her eyes widely. "Food! What kind of meat is this?" she said as she took a bag full of cooked meat from the spatial ring and sniffed.

"Food for trading. A high-quality one."

Ye Qi knows that this sub realm is in lack good food, and even rotten meat is used as a high currency here. That had made him bring a lot of food with him. Many storages ring with food is within his spatial ring now.

"And you want to trade with us."

"You got that right." Ye Qi said.

"From which family you are. You are not familiar, neither I saw you with the other major four families."

The families in this world were at war with each other.

"You can say, we are neutral, belonging to no side." Ye Qi smirked at her. Although the girl in front of him was a beauty, she was a real cruel cold-blooded person when she needs to be.
