15 Chapter 15

The trip back to Glory City was quite fun for Qi and the others. The others had been enjoying the amount of the treasures they had gotten. Ye Qi was enjoying the teasing, the kissing, and the arguments between Ye Ziyun and Huyan Lanruo.

Ye Ziyun quietly showed her protective side, holding a sword whenever she sees Lanruo nearing Qi. Unlike at the beginning of the trip, Lanruo now was acting more like a sweet girl, which wasn't acting at all now. She doesn't treat him like a little brother, more like a love target. Seems that his action of saving her has changed her to insist on being with him.

Ye Qi, of course, had enjoyed it when his face was hugged to her chest before Ye Ziyun shows up and take him to have kissed.

"What a trip."

Ye Qi sighed as he looked at the walls of the Glory City.

Chen Linjian, who was standing in their front, waved his hand and the gates on the walls were opened for them.

Everyone now would go back to their places. The commoners would go back to the dorm while the nobles would go back home.

The nobles found that some carriages waiting for them. The City Lord had sent one for Ye Qi and Ye Ziyun.

Lanruo stared at her carriage and sighed before she turned to Ye Qi.

She placed her hands on his shoulder, bent down until her lips were next to his ears.

"Qi, please, think well." She whispered, making Ye Qi raise an eyebrow as if he were amused. Ye Ziyun could only stare since she can say nothing if Ye Qi wanted her.

"I will, for sure." Ye Qi said as he turned his face and smiled. Lanruo made a very charming smile on his face. Her pink lips were too close.

Lanruo's lips didn't go back, however, it went closer, until her face was in front of his, and she landed a quick fluffy kiss on the lips. Before Ye Qi could insert his tongue, she pulled back.

"Well, we'll meet again, later." Making sure that he sees her full hourglass shape as she turned, Lanruo turned and walked to her carriage.

'Why no girl knows how to kiss with their tongue. Right, everyone in this world is a virgin.' Ye Qi thought as he watched her hips swaying away.

"Ahem?" Ye Ziyun coughed from the side.

Ye Qi turned and placed his hand on her shoulder. The two of them started walking.

"So, how did it feel?" Ziyun asked, fully wanting to know his answer.

" I prefer your lips. It doesn't feel at all like when I kiss you." Qi said as if that didn't mean much.

Ye Ziyun's facial expression eased up. "Okay, in the carriage, we have to do it quietly. I don't want to alert the driver," she said quietly.

"I believe you should focus more on what to tell your dad." Ye Qi entered the carriage with her.

"Right. I'll tell him before the elder does." Ye Ziyun turned her face. The pale skin of her started to get paler.

She was the only kid her father had. Probably he won't take it lightly. Especially if he knew what kind of daughters he had. But it would end up with a wedding anyway, so that should be good.

"Let's hope."

If he isn't wrong, in TDG Ye Zong had once caught Nie Lie staring at his daughter bathing, and he almost killed him.

Would it be a good idea to leave the house for few days? No. Ye Qi is the City Lord's nephew and Ye Mo's grandson. Ye Zong won't dare to provoke a battle of death with his brother, Ye Xiu, over a kiss. Maybe Ye Zong would happy to know his daughter is with Ye Qi. At least she won't leave home.

City Lord Mansion.

Ye Qi stood in front of his courtyard, staring at his house which was surrounded by two trees.

He cracked his back and the rest of his bones.

Finally, sweet home.

Although Ning'er didn't come to visit him, Ye Qi missed his bed more.

Ye Qi patted the gemstone on his neck. Ever since wearing it, Ye Qi felt that his soul realm was auto cultivating with the pressure on it. He felt his soul force advancing like that. However, the real benefit would come after using it in cultivating.

It's known that the more one advances, the more energy and resources one needs. After reaching Silver Rank, his speed won't be as it had been in the past. Ye Qi, with the couple of treasures he had gotten, won't have to worry about that. The only thing to worry about is facing challenges before being ready.

If there is something to worry about it would be integrating with his Demon Spirit. After all, a Silver Rank Spiritualist needs a Demon Spirit inside of him to assist him cultivating.

However, because of the energy he had gotten from Emperor Kong in his tomb, Ye Qi preferred to advance his cultivation today, before integrating with his Demon Spirit tomorrow.

"I need to rest a bit." Ye Qi closed the door behind him, opened the window, and lied down on the bed. "Sweet home." Murmuring, he looked inside of his spatial ring. The remnant page is there. The lamp is there as well.

Ye Qi didn't feel like starting cultivation immediately.

'What a trip.' Ye Qi looked at the roof and thought how things had been. A stunning beauty like Ye Ziyun crush on his body and kiss him. And how his face had been inside of Lanruo's perky huge chest.

'Always, before starting cultivating, one needs to reach the sage stage and mental clarity.' That was a wisdom Ye Qi thought of. Ye Qi took Shen Xiu's hairpin outside his storage ring.

"I'll rest for two hours then."

However, before he could even think of using it, he felt the soul force in the air disturbed.

*Bang*

The door of his house was broken, and a foot appeared there. Ye Qi flipped out of his bed in reaction. His uncle's bulky figure entered from the door, and he stared at Ye Qi.

"You, you little beast!" Ye Zong said.

Ye Qi quickly looked behind him. "There is a little beast here?" he pretended ignorance. "I should leave then and let you deal with it."

"I'm talking about you!" Ye Zong vanished from the sight. The second strongest person in Glory City stood up in front of Ye Qi and lifted him from his collar.

"Uncle, are you possessed. I am a human. I swear." Ye Qi only smiled wryly.

Ye Zong seemed to be in the middle of some shock. Probably he rushed here as soon as he had heard about the kiss that happened.

"Why did you have to ruin my innocent daughter? Just why? You could ask for any other woman, by why Ziyun. She grew up with you." Ye Zong said, shaking Ye Qi in the air.

"What do you mean!!! I didn't touch her or do something to her! I can never hurt her!" Ye Qi opened his eyes widely.

"You liar. You kissed her and you stayed inside of a closed place with her. Do you think I don't know what boys would do when they are in a closed place?" Ye Zong said, angrily.

"Ha~" Ye Qi only sighed. His uncle didn't ask for the details, did he?

"Don't sigh at me!"

"Uncle, you should let that elder finish his report."

"If we were in a closed place and did something, your daughter won't be to walk outside shortly after." Ye Qi said. "Ask the elder and he will tell you that we ran quickly out. Ye Ziyun was faster than the others..."

Ye Zong's lips twitched as he threw Ye Qi to his bed, crushing him on it.

Ye Qi groaned and coughed as he raised his finger. "Okay. Maybe I deserve that for wording it like that."

Ye Zong didn't throw him so hard, so he bent up, only to see his uncle staring at him.

"Explain. What's your side of the story."

"We have an innocent relationship between us. Nothing more than kissing has happened. We were planning to tell you later and ask for your blessings. But you knew it on your own, or half knew it."

"Innocent kisses. Nothing more than that?" Ye Zong took few steps forward as he flinched.

"Take one more step and I'll call mom here." Ye Qi said, and Ye Zong halted his step.

"You won't hide behind your mommy." Ye Zong pointed with his finger at Ye Qi and said. "You'll take the responsibility. Once your father is here, we'll talk about the arrangement."

"I love your daughter." Ye Qi didn't seem that he would back off.

Ye Zong turned his face. "You better. Because if you make her slightly upset, you will pay the price." Ye Zong then walked away.

Ye Ziyun was 14, in the age of marriage.

Although Ye Zong liked to spoil his daughter and treasured her, he knows that she has to go. At least, giving her to someone from the family would let her stay at the house.

Ye Zong already knew the truth, one day ago, as the elder had sent a report.

Although he had been surprised, Ye Zong had wanted to test Ye Qi.

The little beast asked why can his daughter run if he had done something to her. 'I swear, If he ever messes with me like that, I will show him, terror.'

Once Ye Zong left, Ye Qi stood up and looked at the broken door and the broken bed.

He clicked his tongue. "Well, that went better than I had expected."

Ye Qi murmured, before looking at his hand and the pin he was holding. "And I lost my appetite for now." His father in law is such a cockblock.

"Well, he is better than my nephews in law."

Ye Qi then called a near maid and told her to prepare him something to eat.

She just bowed down and said. "Congratulation young master."

She then left to prepare the meal.

Ye Qi looked around the mansion. The people were only nodding in his direction and congratulate him.

"Good morning, fiancee."

Ye Ziyun met Ye Qi outside the mansion, on their way to the institute.

"Good morning." Ye Qi nodded.

Ye Ziyun smiled widely as she held his arm and got it closer to her chest. Ye Qi only smiled back.

"So, how were your night." She said.

"Promising, yours."

Ye Qi's soul force is 1800 now. Cultivating last night had been so fast. And he hasn't eaten too many elixirs. Not to mention, he had some time to cultivate on his way back from the ruins. So, he is nearing the second Star. However, he needed to integrate with a Demon Spirit to reach the usual cultivation speed. Ye Qi, by night, would fuse with his first Demon Spirit — Shadow Devil.

"Mm… I'm near the 4th star Bronze." Ye Ziyun patted her necklace. "This thing is so precious."

She patted his necklace. "Probably, in the future, one of us would be the City Lord."

"Oh, it's about…" Ye Qi understood as he looked at her face. "Ye Han."

Ye Ziyun flinched and turned her face. "I prefer not talking about him."

Ye Qi didn't push it. Ye Han was her foster brother. Ever since Ye Zong had adopted him, Ye Han had taken all of her father's attention, since Ye Han had better talent than his daughter. Ye Ziyun sees Ye Han as someone who took her dad from her. Ye Ziyun doesn't like him or want him to be the City Lord.

She preferred that Ye Qi would take that seat. She knew that Ye Qi can.

With his monstrous talent and the treasure they had gotten, Ye Qi or Ye Ziyun are likely to reach the Legend Rank sooner than anyone, except their Grandfather.

Ye Ziyun would surely like to see her father reaction when she surpasses Ye Han in the future.

"By the way." Ye Ziyun decided to ask. "Why are we still going to school. There is nothing for us to do there."

"Learn." Ye Qi answered. "Researching," he said, thinking about Shen Xiu.

Other than that, researching the books there for recipes, pills, inscriptions, and possible useful knowledge.

They soon reached the Holy Orchid Institute and entered the class.

Ning'er was there. She took the seat next to him, and asked about him and how things went in the ruins. Ye Qi talked to her openly with a smile on his face.

"So, how is your health." Ye Qi asked.

"Mm... Good, thanks to you." Ning'er said with a smile as she let her face closer. She then looked at Ye Ziyun. "You two seems more closer."

"We're engaged." Ye Qi said.

Ning'er opened her eyes widely.

"How, when did this happen!." She asked, shocked.

"it's not official yet."

"Well," Ning'er leaned back, "that's shocking." She then looked at him from head to toe. "I hope you still have an extra place."

It wasn't a secret that they liked each other. After all, he was the only man who touched her and defended her. And he promised that he would take care of her forced marriage.

"I have many spots. My heart is big. Do you want me to book you one?" Ye Qi leaned back and teased her.

"Come on. Too many aren't too good." Xiao Ning'er rolled her eyes. "You're going to be an elder. A busy one, you would have less time. You better divide your time wisely."

Although nobles have polygamy, the ones who lead the families don't usually stay around to have a warm time with their families.

After all, humans are in an era where demon beasts can end the remains of the human race in seconds.

Ye Qi, with his talent, may be the leader of humanity in the future.

"Who decides that." Ye Qi leaned back on his chair.

"Elders?" Ning'er said, raising an eyebrow.

"I will have a lot of free time, for sure." He said as his hand swept on her thigh. Ning'er turned her face as she started blushing.

"And what would you do in that time."

"Well." Ye Qi smirked. 'Starting my clan.'

But then, the door of the class was slammed open. Silence took over the students. Ye Qi took his hand back from Ning'er's thigh.

He felt some eyes on him. Turning, he saw Shen Xiu standing while looking at him with her crimson eyes.

Turning her face, she made her way to the office.

Ning'er whispered slightly. "I'm bronze rank, 2nd star, near the third by the way. I wanted you to know that."

Ye Qi found it natural. While he and his cousin were having a trip, Ning'er was hard working on cultivating.

"Congratulation." He said, feeling proud. After all, he is the one who invented her cultivation method.

They then paid attention to the rest of the class.

The class progressed. Shen Xiu was teaching her lesson while looking at Ye Qi and her nephew, who didn't seem to be in a good mood despite getting a good share of treasures. Shen Xiu just stared at Ye Qi most of the time. It had been few days since he didn't come here, and something felt different about him.

Once the class was over, she asked Ye Qi to stay. Ye Ziyun said few words about meeting at the mansion, before going out.

As Ye Qi came to her office, Shen Xiu asked a few questions about how was he doing and if the trip went well. She especially asked about her nephew. Ye Qi made sure to know that he had taken care of him.

"Don't worry. I know. There was that Silver Rank Demon Beast that threatened his life. But with luck, I managed to draw its attention away." Ye Qi said, looking forward, pretending to recall while his eyes level was with her chest.

"I've heard about it. Happy that you got out alive. Thank you. I have no enough words to express my gratitude." Shen Xiu crossed her arm and smiled. She was quite worried.

The relationship between her and Ye Qi is good. They are familiar with each other, as it seems.

"So, teacher, why did you ask me to stay back? Ye Qi asked as he leaned back on her desk.

"Homework." Shen Xiu said. "For five days, you've been missing school. Of course, I'll have to keep track of what you missed."

She reached her chest and pulled out a spatial ring. She put it in his hand. Ye Qi examined it and sniffed it secretly, before hiding the ring.

"Never thought you care about homework."

"I care about your education." She said.

Ye Qi lifted his head, stared at her face. It looked brighter.

"Something good happened, right?"

"You've noticed." Shen Xiu smiled. Her ego took a boost. She just needed some flattering, so she shared the news with him.

"I have broken through the 4th star Silver rank. The pill you gave me helped a lot."

She placed her hand on his shoulder, and gently she started rubbing.

Ye Qi felt his skin perk as he looked at her hand. Something about this teacher is moving his soul, he felt.

"That's great. Congratulation, that worth celebrating," Ye Qi said.

She Xiu has a yellow soul realm. Because of that, she knows that her achievement would be limited with Gold rank in future. Breaking through at an early age would increase her future potentials.

No wonder her ego is giving her happiness and pride. Only if she knew that Ye Qi is Silver Rank already, she would not be like she is.

"No need. It's nothing." She said with pride and a smile.

Ye Qi stared at her smile, finding it pretty.

"I wanted to thank you for that pill." Shen Xiu smiled warmly. "I owe you a favour."

"But you already paid a price for it." Ye Qi replied.

"Like I don't know you did it to make it less awkward." To Shen Xiu, Ye Qi only asked for the hairpin after asking for marriage, because he didn't want to charge her for a price. After all, he had owed his family alchemist a heavy favourite to get it. She liked what he had done.

"For real. That Hairpin was the best thing I ever had. I wouldn't regret trading more pills for him."

Even if the pin didn't contain anything about the Sacred Family's schemes, what Shen Xiu gave worth a lot. It appeals to him when there is nothing to do. Somehow, it served in giving him obsession for the real thing.

Shen Xiu raised an eyebrow and examined his face. He doesn't look like lying, nor blushing.

"You're honest. Really?"

"Why would I lie to a smart woman like you." Ye Qi said. Seeing her smile, he felt he was taken by it. Somehow, he really wanted her for himself.

"But I wonder. If I can get you more. What price are you willing to pay." He asked.

"Well. I'm too old for you, so you can ask for something else." She said with sarcasm as she had remembered what he had demanded the last time.

"How old are you?"

"That's rude to ask."

"I don't mean to, though."

"I'm 19." Shen Xiu crossed her arms. Her chest jiggled.

Ye Qi opened his eyes widely. She is only 19 years old! And she says she is too old.

Although she looked to be so mature, with an hourglass shape and chest with tits bigger than his face, she is still so young.

Seeing Ye Qi reaction, Shen Xiu snorted. She knew she wasn't an old person. But she was too old to have a relationship with a noble like him in such society.

"You kidding, saying you're too old." Ye Qi looked at her as if though she is crazy.

"I'm not old. Only for a relationship."

"And who taught you that?" Ye Qi wanted to know.

"The traditions that have been here for thousands of years." She said, opening her eyes widely. "Besides, aren't you invading my privacy?" The prideful teacher said.

"Hih. Let me ask. What if someone who is younger liked you?" Ye Qi said, taking a step forward. "Would you bound yourself with traditions?"

Shen Xiu wasn't a stupid woman, but a very smart one. She should understand him.

Rolling her eyes, she said. "Well, he will grow up and change his mind. By that time, who knows, maybe some 60 years old would look for her and cut his hope."

"And what if he doesn't want to. What if he wanted to break traditions." Ye Qi took one step forward. Shen Xiu may be a virgin, but she is too prideful to accept it.

"To break traditions, one has to be a legend. Only then he can create his traditions."

It's about girls who passed the age of 16 and are considered old to get in a relationship. How unfair. No wonder the heavens are angry that the beasts are chasing humans to death.

"Shen Xiu, how about a bet." Ye Qi spoke, addressing her directly with her name.

"A bet?"

Shen Xiu nodded. All of her students and the students from the other classes would be tested as fighters and Spiritualists. Their ranks would be announced.

"Are you trying to prove that you are going to reach Legend Rank?" She rolled her eyes. "Don't be immature. Your soul realm is like mine."

"That's why I said a bet, to break traditions."

Firmly, Ye Qi held her hand, looked at her eyes and said.

"By then, If I reach the Silver rank, you would accept to be mine. I'll take you as my wife, and you won't use your age as an excuse."

Ye Qi, who is near the 2nd Star Silver Rank and have a treasure that multiplies his cultivation speed, said shamelessly.

By that time, he can be a Gold Rank.

'Never enter a losing battle.' Ye Qi drew a sad expression on his face as he looked at her red eyes. He wanted her, for real.

"What!" Seeing his serious face, and his eyes that looked deeply in hers, Shen Xiu opened her eyes widely. "Impossible," she murmured in shock as she rubbed her ear.
