Arthur Leywin
I slowly walked up the steps towards the large Manor. As I stood before the towering door I spoke to the tiny black dragon on my shoulder.
"We're finally home, Sylvie." I then turned to Sylvie, "Are you ready?" Sylvie let out a light, enthusiastic 'Kyu!' and I knocked on the door.
"I'm sure your mother will want to meet mine as soon as we get in the house." I said with a smile while looking at Sylvie.
I was drawn away from Sylvie by the sounds of the door opening and the voice of an older woman.
"May I help you?" in response I bowed while introducing myself. Standing behind the maid was a small girl with brown twin tails and a pink dress.
Running toward the door, specially the to the child was a familiar figure. The figure of my mother, who I hadn't seen in years. At sight of me she dropped the bowl of food and spoon that she was holding.
"So this is? My sister!" I felt the light flow of tears falling from my eyes, but before I could even re-introduce myself, I was tackled into a bear hug. My mother cried into my shoulder making me feel guilty but yet again I was interrupted. This time it was father who ran across the room to join the bear hug of tears.
Little Ellie also joined in shedding her own tears, probably because her mother was crying..
I broke away from the hug and my parents shot out many question about my time in Elenoir. My mother asked many questions about my health, constantly offering to heal my, but I assured I wasn't injured and had been eating three meals a day.
As much as I would love to continue catching up with my family, I was sure Sylvia was waiting impatiently within my core.
"Mother, Father. I wish for you to meet someone." Their expressions seemed confused for a second but then they noticed the little black mana beast and both of their eyes widened, my father in shock and my mother in adore.
"Arthur? What's this little thing you picked up?" My mother said as she picked up Sylvie and showed her to Ellie, they both seemed to instantly fall in love with Sylvie.
"So, you tamed a mana beast huh?" My father nodded in approval and gave me a proud thumbs up.
"I wouldn't say tamed..." I replied to my father.
My mother then spoke up, leaving Ellie and Sylvie to play for a second. "Well, how did you attain this mana beast then?" I smiled and then responded to my mother. "I'm looking after it."
My mother and father both spoke in unison, "For who?" I laughed at their confusion, it was good to be home.
"The people I wanted you to meet, Sylvie mother, Sylvia." As I said this a large amount of mana exited my core and formed the shape of two humanoid figures.
My mother rushed towards Ellie and Sylvie while my father took a defensive stance facing the two humanoid figures.
I waved my parents off assuring them it was fine. "These are the people I wanted you to meet." My father lowered his defensive, slightly confused but, my mother kept holding Sylvie and Ellie tight.
"Oh my! This place is quite luxurious in person, don't you think?" The first figure spoke, I could tell right away this was Sylvia, "Caelus?" they spoke once more turning to the other figure who was admiring the room.
"Ah! Sorry.. I zoned out.." Caelus responded causing Sylvia to laugh at him.
Sylvia then turned to face me giving me a wave before quickly turning towards my parents and bowing.
"Oh wow! You two must be Mr and Mrs Leywin." My parent's both had bewildered expressions causing me to laugh at them.
"This is Sylvia, she saved me from falling off of the cliff and is Sylvie's Mother." Instantly both of my parents gave a deep bow and had tears filling their eyes.
"We thank you so much for saving our son!" They both screamed in unison. Sylvia giggled using one of her fingers to cover a light smile spreading across her face.
"You don't have to bow to me. If it wasn't for your son bring Caelus to me, I would've died as well."
"Now that I think about it, how long have you been sealed inside my body?" I said directing my and everyone else's attention to Caelus. Before responding his expressions seemed to go flat.
"I was trapped inside your body since the day you were born." Everyone's eyes widened in surprise, even mine.
"Why were you in my son's body you creep!" Alice shouted towards Caelus.
"It was surprising even too me, I had been stuck in my original seal for thousands of years." Again everyone was immediately shocked, apart from Sylvia.
"Who sealed you away? And Why?" My Father asked as he look towards Caelus. "I can't say." Caelus simply answered.
"Arthur how do you know you can trust him." My mother asked as she kept a suspicious gaze on Caelus. "Mother I assure you he is trustworthy."
"How do you know though." My father quickly added, I looked back towards Caelus who then looked towards me. His expression seemed bored rather than anything, as if he didn't care at all what we thought of him.
"Mr and Mrs Leywin, I know you haven't known me for long, but please, trust me." Sylvia paused making sure they were listened, and then looked to Caelus before continuing. "While Caelus may be extremely mysterious and powerful, he is not evil. I've spent a long time with him in your son's mana core and not once has he ever had an evil thought or tired to harm me."
After hearing Sylvia's words my parents seemed to calm down a lot more and so, I added my own information. "Caelus had also been training me in mana manipulation, my last four days in Elenoir."
My father's interest seemed to peak as he heard the mention of training and he quickly asked I question I could tell has been on his mind forever. "So, Arthur, What core level are you now." I smiled ear to ear with pride as I looked down upon my father who tried sensing my core level.
"Solid Yellow." With just two simple words my father seemed to shatter and deflate to the ground. "With or without cracks!" He shouted out and I simply responded, "With cracks."
"Holy Shit!" He exclaimed getting a laugh from Sylvia as she watched our rivalry, I noticed that Caelus also had a small grin but that was cut short when Ellie spoke.
"Holy Shet!" My Father slowly turned around to see a monstrous demon behind him. The demon smacked him round the back of the head with a flying pan, knocking him to the floor.
I saw Sylvia's expression, she was quite shocked and covered her agape mouth with her hand. A light laugh drew my attention and I looked towards Caelus who had a larger than normal smile on his face.
'Is he a sadist.' I thought to myself.
Suddenly, my father sprung up from the floor with a determined expression on his face, "Arthur! Let's spar!" He exclaimed and I saw the woman behind slowly morph into a demon once more. Before mother could kill him I quickly assured her it was okay.
---
I was stood outside in the Helstea family garden, around 10 feet away from me wad my father.
Thanks to Caelus' suggestion of keeping my internal lightning magic active throughout the day my core had processed extremely quickly and I had gotten much more efficient with using the lightning deviant.
So, I wasn't really sure if this fight was fair for my father. I mean I did have an absolute monster training me. The next time I entered the core I realised he went easy on my the first time...
"Arthur! Are you ready?" My Father shouted from the other side of the concrete are we were using as an arena.
I looked around the arena, specifically to Caelus, who was observing with a keen scrutiny. For a moment his gaze locked onto me and I could just read what he was thinking,
'If he loses I'm adding Virion's cacti to the training regiment.' Or something along those lines.
As the signal for the dual to start went off I moved towards my father using a tiny burst of lightning to boost my movement. To my surprise it was much faster than I expected and with just one burst I was in front of my father.
'So this is the power or a yellow core' I thought to myself, I had only been training in mana manipulation so I hadn't been able to test out my new strength in an actual fight, 'till now anyway.
I sent a quick uppercut to my father's stomach which he was able to quickly dodge.
From the people watching I heard a man I glasses shout out, "Deviant! Your son's a deviant." Next him were to women an adult and a child. Clearly his wife and child.
'That must be the Helstea family, I should really thank them for helping my parents, after this anyway.' I thought as i quickly dodged a flame covered punch sent by my father.
Using one more powerful burst of lightning I basically teleported behind my father and delivered a hard punch to the back of his head.
"Haha! Seems like I'm the man now, Father!" my father raised his hands in defeat and we walked back towards the others.
Once I returned to the others I introduced myself to Vincent, Tabitha and Lilia. I thanked Vincent for allowing my family into his home but he denied saying he still felt like he owed them for helping out with his auction house.
After a short period of introductions Vincent offered me to go to Xyrus Academy, he said he could pull some strings seeing as how talented I was, but I declined wanting to atleast spend time with my family first and preferably go at the normal age.
I however did try and convince my parents to let me become and adventurer after my birthday.
"No Arthur! You just came home I'm not going to let you go die in some random dungeon!" My mother instantly denied me of my request.
"Wait, Alice." My Father spoke getting my Mother's attention, "Arthur is clearly capable and it would be wrong for us to limit his growth and freedom. I'm sure we could find someone willing to go with him"
My mother still seemed hesitant and I quickly added on, "Sylvia and Caelus will always be with me." However, they both instantly declined.
"I couldn't protect you right now I can't even use mana." Caelus said making me confused.
"Huh? But what about that mana death ball thing you threatened Aya with." He looked up as if trying to remember something and then spoke again, "Yeah, I was lying..." my jaw fell and my eyes widened as he continued. "In the state I am now if I used that I would've just died."
I then quickly looked back to my parents, "Uhm.. well maybe they're out but what about one of the twin horns!" I quickly added on.
My mother crossed her arms and held a serious expression, "Fine but if none of the twin horns want to take you then your staying home!" I nodded and quickly responded with a smile, "Of course! Thank you!" Alice gave me a small smile and spoke once again.
"you have to contact us often though, if you don't you will be in a lot of trouble." I nodded and before I could talk my mother added on something else. "Also this is only after your birthday so your here until then and you also have to go shopping with us!"
"A sacrifice, I'm not sure is worth it.." I muttered to myself in a low tone.
(A/N) sorry it took so long I got caught up with some things, anyway I hope you enjoy.
I'm going to try and make it so you dont have to wait as long for the next chapter.
