When I imagined how this moment would feel, I would picture shaking from the overwhelming emotion of it. The stage lights would be warm on my face as I faced a sea of smiling faces. The crowd would be deafening as they cheered and clapped. I would feel as if I was on top of the world like nothing could touch me or bring me down.
When I thought about becoming an actor, I imagined peace and happiness, security and excitement. I initially thought that I longed to be the center of attention, but the more I studied the art of theater, the more I realized that what I loved about the art form was the beauty of it. I loved to tell stories using my voice and movement. I loved that theater was an art form that was dynamic as well as visual.
