Chapter 14:

Jack, dressed in Leo's red suit, also managed to come out.

He gave a gaze at the hospital's name that was written in large prints on top of it. 'Milville.'

He appeared like he was thinking about something. He was actually.

Leo asked concerned, "You okay there mate?"

With a puff of air out his mouth, Jack marched forward. He went into the hospital.

Jack walked fast until he got near the door of her unit. He could feel his chest beat loud, and his breathing felt slightly abnormal.

Jack's heart completely melted as he heard that sweet voice of hers. Lyya's voice sounded like a musical instrument playing, making the ears fall in love with it as it was a pleasant sound.

Jack closed his eyes as he enjoyed the amiable voice of Lyya. Leo wasn't close. He felt it was best he gave them space.

Still close to the unit's door, Jack now leaned his head forward as he took a peek at her.

Lyya wasn't the only one there, Charles and other detectives were there too. She was still being questioned, after Jack had sworn he had heard up to a million " I can't remember."

Charles asked the lady Lyya who was still lying on her bed, but she had curled up her upper body, " So you can't remember what had attacked you? And also, you can't even recall why you went to the woods in the first place?"

He asked in disbelief.

Lyya, who looked tired, and obviously annoyed by the repeated questions said, "If you won't believe me, then why ask?"

Now entering inside the unit, Jack commanded, " You should leave" he sounded serious. "All of you."

Jack's eyes were now locked with Lyya's, and they both stared at each other, like they both had hidden emotions inside.

Trying not to show any sort of weakness towards this one of a kind Jack Loggman, Lyya disconnected from this intimate gaze.

Every one had now left them to be, well, aside from Charles, who didn't take orders from the young man.

They snubbed his presence.

Lyya tried her best not to look directly into Jack's sweet passionate eyes. She didn't want to fall again. She had gotten injured from that. Literally.

Speaking softly, Jack asked the darling Lyya, who's face was as beautiful as a goddess, "How do you feel?"

She looked innocent, and her atmosphere was this peaceful, pleasant, happy and calm, yet enjoyable loving one. She looked like someone that would love you for the real you. Only if that real you was actually you.

Was Jack the real him?

She tried sounding angry, which Jack could tell didn't fit her. She replied, "Like I just woke up from a coma" she said. " Oh wait, I did"

He tried reaching for her hand, but she just shifted it quickly. She had orange hair, brown eyes, fine shape of lips and her lashes were outstandingly long. Lyy's hair wasn't packed but all-over her shoulders.

With a kind of sincere sounding voice, Jack pleaded to the pretty lady that he still found attractive as she looked angry, " I'm so sorry Lyya. I swear Lyya, I'll change this time." His spoke softly, "Lyya I love you and promise to be a better man. I will love you with everything this time around…"

Feeling a bit annoyed, she cut him off, " Oh, please Jack. I've heard that dozens of times before now. You're always you Jack"

Jack, who's hurt inside, couldn't even find the words to express the feeling that he felt inside.

It was true, he had made countless promises to her, using those exact words.

He failed to keep them each time.

One of the main reasons Jack loved Lyya was because she believed in him. She believed in a better Jack Loggman. She didn't see him the way others did. She believed he could be serious and could love for real.

Now when she actually gave it a thought, it seemed she was wrong.

Charles, who was still inside the room, tried his best to bear hearing those words that made him feel like he was watching a silly-comedy show. It appeared unimportant to him.

He had something else he was thinking about in his head , and he felt it was the most important thing to worry about.

Charles said, not even sounding like what he said, " I'm sorry for intruding," He actually wasn't and couldn't care less, " But I really need to speak with Jack"

Jack looked at her with loving eyes. She didn't spare him a look. He now unwillingly stood up and went not too far outside the unit, to speak with Charles.

With an angry voice, he asked, " What?'

Charles answered him in his own serious sounding voice tone, " The scratch Jack. Have you forgotten what happens to humans that are scratched by wolves?"

No. Jack hadn't forgotten.

Charles continued, " If you can't tell her the truth, then I will"

Jack gave a glance at Lyya from where he stood, worried of how she was going to react to this truth.

He decided it was best for him to do it himself.

He walked inside with this scared-nervous kind of feeling. There were so many things to tell her about. He didn't quite know where to start from.

" Lyya," He called her, who did look at him, but in an unfriendly manner, " I-um"

He tried telling her what seemed impossible to say. He stammered a bit, but finally let it out,

" I'm ge-tting married soon" His chest went up as he heaved a heavy sigh of distress.

Lyya was surprised by this, but tried her very best not to show it.

She managed to speak, after gulping down tears down her throat, " Congratulations. I'm happy you moved so quickly. You sure have many surprising things. Any more you want to say?"

Knowing there were actually more, Jack tried his best to say them, but he couldn't seem to get himself to talk any more words.

Noticing this, Charles, who was outside, but not too far away, came inside.

Charles now said, "I knew you couldn't do this Jack. Lady Lyya, your life's about to change" He further said bluntly, " You may have been attacked by a werewolf and you may turn into one. That is if you were attacked by one,"

This left her bewildered. She couldn't really understand what the gentleman was saying, and was confused.

"Inorder for us to help you," Charles went on, " You have to remember that day…"
