CHAPTER 4: STAY INDOORS FOR ONE WEEK.

Some hours later, at the dining table, Tina had brought out a white paper and had handed it over to her.

"See for yourself," she had said as Tanya had been about to collect it.

Tanya had read it. She could bot believe she was being threatened because of a guy like Ronald. She had just met him a few weeks back when she had bumped into him at school. He had complimented on her beauty and they had met occasionally during breaks and before going home. She had admitted he was handsome and had testified about his intelligence to her friends. But never had she known he was that handsome or intelligent or even rich until now that she had come eye-to-paper with a threat that had said in bold typed letters:

"You would wish for death if you ever again meet with Ronald!"

The rest of the note had sounded like Greek till she had flipped the page over. She had not believed she had been reading it out before Tina had said

"No outing, stay indoors for one week at least."

She had read it louder again this time:

"I know you and I must not see you outside or you would die before wishing for it."

"Tan, I know how hard this must be on you but it's just a week break from the street." Tina had said, holding Tanya's hand. It wasn't comforting enough.

Tanya had snatched her hand from Tina's grip and had stormed up the stairs to her room. She would bet that the sound of her door slamming would have echoed to the sky. She had covered herself in her bed and had soaked her face in her tears. It had been at that moment she had realized what she had dreaded. She loved Ronald and could not let go.

She had taken her phone and had dialed his number but had changed his mind. She had sent him a text instead. She had looked at the phone till it vibrated "sent" and had stared at the ceiling. Her mother had knocked and called out to her but Tanya had preferred to talk the next day, not then. She had ignored them all.
