Chapter 10
POV Tanya
Arriving at the gate I hear Jill whistle and call out to someone "Hey!"
Only to hear someone call out "Valentine! Hey! Glad to hear from you. We could use your help."
Not long after their exchange I noticed an infected person fall to the ground and a guard yelling at a young girl "Get away from him! GET AWAY FROM HIM!"
Causing the person that Jill called out to grab the girl which in turn caused him to be bitten on the leg.
Seeing the gates close shortly after I hear someone using a megaphone say "Please, return to your homes. The situation is under control."
Under control my ass. I hope he dies. Not that it matters to me since I can just climb the walls whenever I want to escape.
But for some reason I feel an urge to help out Jill. Is it because I want an easy life? No matter, I'll help her out since she obliged to answer my questions. Maybe I'll get to have some fun in the meantime.
Slipping out of thought I hear the guy on the megaphone say "If you do not return we will be forced to use extreme precautions."
Causing another person to say "Use of live ammunition authorized."
Which started to cause mass panic in everyone.
Finding Jill I start to follow her and one other started to follow us.
I end up telling my children "Follow from a distance and keep out of sight."
Only to hear a "Yes ma'am" from all my children.
Following Jill throughout the mass panic that was caused from being shoot at we end up being followed by a reporter and the person that Jill was talking to.
Looking for some temporary shelter we end up walking in a church. Only to be nearly shot once more by a another person upon entering.
Hearing him say to us while pointing a gun in our direction he says "You have to get out! This is my place! I'm hiding here!"
"I think it's big enough for all of us"
"Don't tell me wha-"
"Okay cool it! Put the gun down.. put.. the.. gun.. down… and, you, take it easy."
Sensing something in the distance I start to walk towards the other end of the church.
Only to hear from behind me "Hey where are you going little girl?"
Causing me to glare at the person who said it. And without saying anything I disappear around the corner and into the shadows.
Moving towards the area I sensed it I realized that the virus mutated and now there's multiple cute looking monsters stalking and jumping from place to place.
Moving towards one of them It end ups noticing me.
Curious about why we aren't hostile to each other since I can feel their intent I realized that they are extremely hungry.
Touching it's exposed brain it starts to purr to my touch.
I'm wondering as to why none of this worlds monsters see me as hostile.
"Aren't you a cute looking thing. I think I'll call you.. Edgar. I wish I could keep you however the company I'm with won't approve of it. Unless, I tell them that I can control you and keep you like a dog which in turn will reveal that I'm infected in their eyes."
Contemplating on how to go about this, I hear a door open from somewhere inside the place.
Which causes Edgar to jump and start moving towards the general direction of the sound.
Realizing that I wandered off I start to skip back towards my group.
Before long I arrive near the guy that wanted us to leave the church.
Causing him to jump and point his gun in my direction.
He ends up screaming out "Hey! Where did you co-"
His words were cut short as Edgar jumps on him.
He ends up screaming out "Heelp me!! Arrrgh!!"
Which causes me to continue skipping towards him and pat edgar on head. Telling him to leave me a piece since I'm hungry myself.
Hearing a purring noise I realized that he understood me and bit off a piece of arm for me to chew on.
Getting my hands bloody I start to eat my share since I kept him busy unknowingly for Edgar to go in for the kill.

Apologies for the late chapter. I was having real life problems to deal with. Anyways, should Edgar survive the onslaught that's about to happen or was it a one time thing? I'll let you all decide that.
I still having a bit of problems but I should be able to upload a bit more hopefully.
