Queen Annabelle anxiously awaited her father's response. As she heard the sound of approaching horses, her anticipation grew. She soon noticed a group of armed men, led by a man named Orion Shadowthorn.
"Good day, my lady," Orion greeted with a bow. "I am Orion Shadowthorn, and we are the Evergreen Shadows. Your father has sent us to escort you to the Whispering Willow River."
Meanwhile, Liam, who had been looking for Annabelle, noticed her conversing with the group of unfamiliar men. Instinctively, he reached for his sword but then saw Annabelle smiling as she departed. Curiosity getting the better of him, Liam decided to secretly trail Annabelle as she made her way to the Whispering Willow River.
When the she arrived, she were greeted by King Philip. "You've come," he said to Annabelle with a hint of relief in his voice.
"Of course, I wouldn't miss it," Annabelle replied softly, a nostalgic smile on her face. "Do you remember the first time you brought me here?"
it was actually up the bri..
Before King Philip could finish his sentence, an arrow flew across his face, narrowly missing him. Annabelle swiftly vanished from sight, leaving King Philip startled. Liam immediately rushed to Philip Realizing the danger they were in, Liam quickly shielded the king with his body as a barrage of arrows rained down upon them. Miraculously, Liam's body seemed invulnerable as the arrows failed to penetrate his flesh.
Now surrounded and under heavy attack, King Philip managed to utter a few words. "Into the woods!" he shouted, and both he and Liam sprinted towards cover. However, Liam glimpsed blood staining his clothing and glanced back to see a ghastly sight - an arrow had struck King Philip's chest. The assassin closed in mercilessly as more arrows rained threatening their lives.
In that moment, Liam's eyes began to glow with an eerie green light as he summoned his magic to cast a spell.
"Flame of Fury, Burning Bright,
Ignite the darkness with explosive might.
Inferno's embrace, let destruction befall,
An incinerating blast, consuming all."
As Liam completed the incantation, a powerful surge of energy erupted, incinerating everything and everyone in its vicinity. Holding onto King Philip, Liam felt life slowly slipping away from the wounded king. In his final moments, Liam carefully handed over his necklace, the Phoenix Amulet, renowned for its ability to heal and protect its wearer, to King Philip.
"Take this," Liam whispered, his voice filled with emotion. he puts it across Philips neck as he slowly lose consciousness.
