Xavier POV
We were all seated in the meeting room where the pack elders and other pack officials usually meet. My grandfather – Grand Lycan Leonard was sitting close to the raised platform where Noah would sit while my mom was next to him, she would occasionally bend towards him and ask him if he was alright. It was so funny that I had to hold back the laughter bubbling inside me.
One would think Selene didn't only slap my grandfather with the pity airs he was putting on. He was looking so bleak and I hoped for his sake it was a show or maybe to gain Noah's sympathy. I was worried about this impromptu meeting that my mom had roped me in. This wasn't the time to get on Noah's bad side, especially with everything that had happened.
