Chapter 67

"Delaney?" He whispered her name softly, in fear that saying it out too loudly might wake him up from this surreal dream and he would find that this was not happening.

She whimpered and stirred, and he felt her struggle with her weak hand which he quickly realized he was holding too tight.

"I'm sorry." He kissed it again and let go of it, and watched her closely. He wanted to call the physician but couldn't leave her side for a second. Luckily, his pegasus arrived at the snap of his finger. "Call Ylvia." He instructed it.

Ylvia came running into the chamber soon after the pegasus left, and she was in disbelief when she saw Delaney's face. It was no longer pale and stiff and instead, she looked like she was merely taking a nap.

"Delaney!" She wanted to hug her but remembering she must be in pain if she was coming back to life, she stopped herself.
