ONCE AGAIN

MEGARA DAYBRACE

Fate it is.

What is fate to be exact?

Your destiny is written by god.

Destiny can be altered as well.

Just like instead of perishing that day, she somehow survived the tragedy.

How did she manage to prevail? Who conserved her? She doesn't know. She knows nothing. All she knows is that she found herself lying in an unfamiliar grove near the mountain of honor.

Her bleeding wound was dressed.

Does she have any hazy remembrance of who saved her?

Yes, she does.

It was an individual in white.

Man or woman? She doesn't know.

All she knows is that it was an individual in white. She unhurriedly stood up once she gained consciousness. Taking the tree as a support she swiftly looked around the area. Her pupils shrank as she quickly rubbed her eyes only to realize that she had lost more than half of her sight. Which only indicated one thing.

Just god knows how she ended up in this village but looks like whoever saved her wanted her to find shelter here.

Days later, she found something terrifying. What was that thing that terrified Megara Daybrace?

We don't yet know.

"One bottle of liquor, please." She ordered herself a bottle of wine before settling down on the buffer. Inclining her back against the wooden wall behind her, she waited for the waiter. The wine house was almost vacant because it was pretty late at night and as soon as she closed off her stall, she sauntered here.

With a heavy sigh, her eyes glided here and there, she could only see the light hanging in the center of the wine house.

Today she felt oddly strange and couldn't comprehend the reason for it.

With a deep breath, she was about to close her eyes when all of a sudden the waiter arrived and put the bottle in front of her with a little cup beside it. She nodded at the waiter and poured herself wine into the cup. Grabbing the cup she raised the fabric around her face and brought it near her lips, chugging it down in one go.

She often wonders what her disciples are doing.

Does her disciple loathe her as well as others?

Did they become strong? All of them must have grown along with Luna.

Who was given her chain technique?

That ring she got from her ancestors had a special spell carved on it which can only be seen by the one who is wearing it. That spell enlightens you on how to use the technique according to your spiritual energy and magic. Hence, not every chain technique is the same.

She wondered if Helice got it or someone else.

What about Evenor and Agnes? Her uncle? The Sect? What about him?

She quickly shook her head as soon as he came into her mind and instantly poured herself another cup of wine.

She doesn't know who they are.

She doesn't know them anymore.

She has numbed her mind around thoughts like this.

Gulping down the wine, she sat there for a while before paying and strolling out of the wine house. The night was silent and she couldn't see anymore.

Unfortunately, she forgot her bamboo stick in the two-room dirty cabin she lives in so now she has to walk slowly making sure she doesn't bump into anything or anyone. While she was walking, her ears perked up when she heard loud voices coming from nearby.

Thinking some individuals might have gotten into a fight, she proceeded to walk only to realize the people here never fight with each other no matter what the situation is. If one is against the other the news goes to the head of the village and there it gets sorted out.

She paused and tried to pay attention more to the voices until the word demon fell on her ears. She pondered whether she should go or not. The only time she saved someone without any reluctance after whatever transpired with her was Neel.

She shook her head and started walking away. She knew she was no longer accountable for saving lives and there was Sina who could help them. With this in mind, she turned to another alley but the voice kept getting louder.

She kept muttering 'She was not accountable for them' like a mantra but in the end...these people did help her when no one did. These people look for her in situations like this...they need help now.

She paused once again and turned to look back. A sad frown kissed her hidden features. She gripped her trembling hands in a fist and wasted no second leaping up on the roof.

She consciously ran on the roofs of the houses and manors before finally reaching her destination. She ordered everyone to run away only to realize the demon was a bird which she cannot see at all, maybe because it was black.

She attempted to get a grasp on it but it was exceptionally fast.

She was getting weary in no time when all of a sudden she felt a presence behind her. It was emitting a strong aura. The brutal power of a demon but when she raised her leg to hit it she realized it was a human. Perhaps, it was not a demon but someone else.

Having a little combat with him and she was already out of her disguise. This person was extremely fast just like that eagle.

Her robe fluttered due to the breeze and her bamboo hat almost came off but she tightened it around her head while staring at the hazy silhouette before her. He wasn't attacking her anymore.

"Who are you? What do you want from these innocent people?" She asked loudly but got no response from him. He wasn't moving either. Taking it as an opportunity she ran towards him to strike although she was already out of her energy.

She raised her palm ready to strike his chest but the next moment she discovered herself laying on the dusty ground. A painful yelp left her lips when her back harshly hit the dusty ground.

When she came back to her senses she realized that person was on top of her.
