Rodrigo's Move

Rodrigo was looking out the massive window of his office, witnessing how calm the surroundings were and giving him relief inside his heart.

But someone opens his office door, causing him to sigh because he thought he could have a little peace of mind, and he's wrong.

"What do you want?" He asked without looking at the person.

"Is that how you greet me?"

He smirked, "This is how I greet people, Adeline."

"Face me and show respect!"

He turned around to face Adeline, but instead of showing her respect, Rodrigo flashed an insulting grin at the young lady causing Adeline to be annoyed.

"Do you want me to erase that grin on your face?!"

He chuckled sarcastically, "Does my expression insult you? Well, it's not my fault, princess, because you deserve it."

"How dare you!!!"

"How dare me?" He laughed like a madman, "You are inside my territory, so watch your mouth."

Adeline scoffed, "As if you can kill me."

"Tempt me."

Adeline clenched his fist and took a deep breath. She had to fix the alliance between Zeus's father so their wedding would continue.

"I didn't come here to fight, Rodrigo, because I came here to apologize."

"That's more likely, but it's a no."

"What?!" She yelled, "Are you rejecting my apologies?"

"What do you think, princess?"

Extremely annoyed, Adeline took extensive steps to approach Rodrigo and stopped a few kilometers away from the man. She felt the extreme anger of her wolf because of the disrespect of the man in front of her; she pointed the man in the face and forced herself to calm down.

"You have no right to treat me like this!" She shouted.

But Rodrigo just calmly looked at her. She didn't see any fear in the man's eyes.

"I have a right to treat you like this, Adeline, because I know the reason why you're here."

Rodrigo smiled, "You're here to talk to me about your failed marriage, aren't you?"

"How d—"

"It's not that hard to know your purpose for me, so you're here because you want to re-alliance to continue your failed marriage."

Rodrigo walked closer to the furious young lady and ignored Adeline's sharp looks. He smirked, showing her this time that he was the winner.

"I'm sorry, but I won't change my mind, and I won't help you continue your marriage. You take care of your life. It's not my fault if my son Zeus doesn't want you anymore."

"I won't allow it!" Adeline shouted, "I'm not going to let Zeus just go to a worthless woman!"

"Are you sure Agatha is a worthless woman?" He asked.

He smiled when he saw Adeline's mouth suddenly shut before walking to her swivel chair. He knew that the young lady had also noticed the change in Zeus' behavior since his son met Agatha.

He folded his hands and turned to Adeline again, now silent and motionless.

"I know you know Agatha's effect on Zeus because you witnessed it. Your own eyes saw how Zeus was upset when Maverick stabbed his mate, so you can't say Agatha is a worthless woman. as my son's heart gradually softened toward that woman. "

"You know what happened that day?" Adeline suddenly asked.

Adeline laughed sarcastically before turning to the man who was currently sitting and watching her.

"Were you there that day?" She continued.

Rodrigo leaned back in his chair and said, "Yes, I was there and quietly watching your defeat. Do you think I would let myself miss that? If only you could see yourself that day Adeline."

Unable to answer and keeping her mouth shut, Adeline knew she could no longer escape the fact that this man knew their plan for that day.

Meanwhile, Rodrigo silently watched the young lady, and he couldn't help but smile. After the betrayal, he will not allow that he will not get an ace against the maiden.

"If you have nothing more to say, Adeline, you can leave. I have no intention of wasting my time with someone like you," he said and pointed to the door.

The young lady's eyebrows met, "You may have succeeded but remember what I say, Rodrigo? I'll make a way to get what I deserve !!"

After Adeline said that, she quickly left the room and left Rodrigo alone. A frightening laugh came out of the man's lips as if he were a madman who had committed a heinous crime.

"It's all just beginning because it's time for me to act," he whispered.

(ALGERIA HOSPITAL)

From the peaceful place of Algeria hospital, an unknown man was walking normally and didn't bother to look around. He is carrying a black suitcase, wearing a blue suit.

No one notices his presence, not even a single person inside the building. He continued walking and stopped in front of the door located at the hallway's end.

He opened the door slowly, and he was exposed to an empty room. There was no single person inside it, but when he was about to leave, a lady came out from a bathroom.

"Who are you?" Mildred asked.

The young man came inside the room and closed the door slowly without even taking his eyes off Mildred.

"You don't have to know my name."

Mildred gulps because she senses something wrong with this man, and that terrifying feeling she has is not good. She started approaching her bed slowly and calmed herself down.

"W-what do you need from me.."

An evil grin flashed on the young man's lips, "I need nothing from you but my boss. He needs your cooperation, so come with me peacefully."

"I'M NOT COMING WITH YOU!!" She yelled.

"Don't make me do it, lady. I'm not inclined to pursue an old lady like you."

She grabbed the vase beside her and threw it to the young man before walking faster behind her bed. She had nothing but herself, and her only weapon was the thing she could use inside of her bedroom.

But when her eyes landed on a small knife lying on her bedside table, she immediately grabbed it and pointed at the young man. Mildred ignores the blood dripping from the young man's wound and thinks of a plan for how to escape him.

"That's rude, lady. I asked you calmly, so don't make me hurt you."

"Leave me alone! What do you want from me?! Help!!!"

The young man wiped the drop from the wound on his face and said, "I said, don't lose my patience."

His eyes turned blue, and his wound slowly healed, causing Mildred to be startled. Now, her mind is fighting about what kind of creature is that.

"Just come with me, and everything will be fine."

She holds the knife tightly, "No! Stay away from me!"

"Look, if you keep insisting on that attitude. I don't have any choice but to force you, lady."

He sighed in annoyance, "If you want to see your daughter safe, you must come with me."

"What happened to Agatha?"

"Nothing except she got stabbed by someone and has trouble fighting for her life," He lied.

"I don't believe you!"

"I'm not asking you to believe me."

The young man slowly approaches Mildred. He doesn't know this job is challenging to deal that's why he has to pursue this lady to come with him or else his boss will kill him.

"I'm being polite right now, Mildred," He uttered.

But Mildred is just looking at his eyes as if this young man hypnotized her. However, the young man secretly smiles after witnessing how that lady fell into his trap. He grabbed the knife in Mildred's hands and threw it away before holding her in the neck.

Mildred was shocked that the young man was already gripping her neck because the last she checked, he was standing far from her. She tried to let go in a tight entanglement, but she failed because that man was so strong than her.

"I told you, I don't want to hurt you, but I don't have a choice."

"L-let go o-of me..." She said.

He smirked, "Don't worry. After this, you'll meet your beloved daughter, and if that day happens, I bet she's so happy to see you."

"Before that, you have to come with me whether you like it or not because the only choice you have is to stay with us and let your daughter find you."

He showed Mildred an injection and smirked devilishly before slowly putting the injection within her skin.

"Stay away from m-me!!"

"Shh, keep your mouth shut, or those hot nurses will hear us.."

The young man successfully injected the serum, and he let Mildred go and waited for it to affect her after putting back the injection in his suitcase.

"W-what did y-you inject to me.." She asked as her vision slowly became blurry.

"What is happening to me?"

Her vision became blurry, and she felt slight dizziness. She knew that the young man had put something on her. But when she was about to ask him again, her vision went black.

"Sleep tight..." He whispered.
