Chapter 5 : Protecting The Luna of Moonlight Pack

Jacob sat down on the long couch and didn't even look at his brothers, and he had a tough day, especially the one he's been watching escape him.

He can't believe Agatha will escape her because his senses are strong enough to feel if she's gone or not; maybe he was just busy looking at the cute girl in the cafe where they were earlier ago.

"You do something bad again, didn't you?" Azrael asked, one of the pack members.

He looks at him, "What do you care. Mind your own business, Azrael."

"We do care, Jacob, because if you did something again. Our alpha will be mad at us," Santi replied.

"It's nothing."

"Nothing? Pft," Yohan laughed, "Why don't you tell us that you lost our alpha's mate? She escapes you, right."

"I'm not wondering why you know that, you sneaky bastard!"

Yohan just shrugged and left to go to the kitchen to get some food. However, Jacob is still sitting on the couch because he was right. Thay girl named Agatha manages to escape him.

"So, Yohan is right?" Santi inquired.

He smirked, "What do you want me to say if you already read what's inside my mind."

"Why don't we take care of our Luna alternately?" Azrael suggested.

"Why don't you tell Zeus about that?" He rudely said.

"Tell me about what?"

They both look at the door where Zeus is standing and look at him furiously. Jacob knew he was here to scold him for being irresponsible.

"Zeus, let me explain," He stood up from his seat.

"I don't need your fxcking explanations, and you know you can't let her alone, Jacob."

"I know, but I didn't know she was stubborn, so I didn't ready a plan, though."

Zeus came inside the room and sat down on the single couch facing Jacob while everyone was not saying a word because they didn't want to get involved in their brothers' mistake.

"I told you to stay in her side because we both know what my father can do."

Jacob sighed, "Yeah, I know, and you don't have to be mad. Besides, it's your Luna's fault, not mine."

"She's not only my luna. She is your Luna too!" He raised his voice, "And now dad did his first move scaring Agatha!"

"What do you mean?" Azrael asked.

He laughed sarcastically, "Isn't it obvious, Azrael? She meet my dad before I pick her up in front of the hospital wh--" he paused.

He shut his mouth for almost revealing his secret. He suddenly forgot that his pack didn't know about her too much and about her family background. Even Jacob knows nothing, and it's a relief because he didn't ask.

"Why did your dad leave her in front of the hospital?"

"Why are you asking our alpha if it's too obvious, Azrael."

Zeus knew who was the owner of that voice because he was one of his pack members, but unlike others, he was against everything he ordered them to do.

"Maverick, I thought you out?" Santi asked the man who had just come in.

"I was, but I saw our alpha's car outside, so I thought we had an important meeting here," Maverick replied before walking towards the couch facing their alpha.

"I'm sorry if I'm not present on your wedding day, Zeus, but please accept my regards."

His mood suddenly changes because of all of his pack members. Maverick is the one he can't trust. He knew he was after his throne being an alpha, and he also knew Maverick planned to kill him in order to be an alpha.

"You are not welcome here, Maverick."

Maverick smirked, "I am not? Sorry but I am one of your pack members, and you can't just abandon me."

"Don't you dare give me that kind of reason because we both know what you after," He seriously said.

"Oh, you do? Then, tell me, what am I really after?" He grinned while waiting for his answer.

Zeus didn't say anything and looked at his annoying face, he didn't want to make havoc, and he didn't want them to look down at him.

"Isn't her name is Agatha? So, she's the chosen Luna of your moonlight pack? Or I must say our Luna," Maverick added.

"What are you trying to imply."

He shrugged, "Nothing. I just want to know more about our Luna. Is she pretty? Gorgeous? Sexy? Is she good in bed?"

He can't hold himself a little longer and punch Maverick in the face causing him to fly away and hit the wall.

"How dare you ask me that question! Know your place, Maverick, because you are nothing but an omega!" He shouted.

An evil laugh skips Maverick's lips, "Omega? I forgot I am in the last line, alpha."

"Mav, stop it!" Jacob stood up between them to stop their alpha, "We are supposed grateful for Zeus because he finally found his mate, so stop making trouble, Maverick."

Maverick stood up and passed them by. He doesn't have any plan arguing with them because no matter what, he does. He's wrong, and he's not the person who can accept anything, especially when he knows they are at fault.

But before he left, he stopped from his tracks and didn't bother to look back and said, "You always treat me like a slave, and I will never let you do that to me again, Zeus, so be careful."

That's all he said before finally leaving the place. However, Zeus knew what he was trying to imply, and that is Agatha. He knew Maverick had a plan hurting their Luna, and even though she's just a fake Luna, he has to protect her in order to protect his secret.

"Forget what he said," Santi told him.

He looks at his pack, "You have a new assignment to protect your Luna. Her life is in danger from now on."

"Speaking of her, we decided to take an alternately take care of her if you allow us. We wanted to have at least one day's break," Yohan said.

"As long as you protect her, I don't care what you wanted anymore."

"Aye, aye, boss."

He fixes his suit before leaving the place without any other words. He has to keep his secret appropriately hidden even if his father and Maverick is the one who wants to drag him down; he doesn't care as long as Agatha is safe.

He plans to make her pretend as his wife, he gathers a lot of information just to make her agree to his will, and now he wouldn't let anyone ruin his plans. After all, he just wanted to get rid of the woman who always wanted to tie him in marriage.

"You want to fight me? Then, I'll give you what you want."

Agatha stood up from sitting on the couch and looked inside Zeus's office. After the young man picked her up from the hospital where his father dropped her off, he didn't say anything nor speak while driving on the way in his office. Now she had to wait until Zeus came back, and she bet that Jacob's was in danger.

Her eyes landed on a picture frame on Zeus's table. She picked it up and saw nothing but his ruthless eyes while she saw a beautiful lady smiling beside him. She suddenly got curious about who she was, but her deep thoughts stopped when someone opened the door. She turned around and saw Zeus standing at the door.

"What are you doing?" He asked and started walking towards her.

"I got bored, and I decided to look around your office. I didn't mean to see this picture of your family," She explained and put back the picture frame on the table.

He sighed and sat down in his chair, "This is your last warning. If you did that again, I might change my mind and kick you out of my life."

Agatha heard those words again and wanted to shake her head because she really saw the resemblance between Zeus and his father.

"You are under my contract, so you will follow what I order you to do, is that clear?"

She nodded, "Yes, I'm sorry.."

"I don't need more explanation. I need you to listen, or you will never see the sunrise again. You don't know my dad so keep that in your mind."

"I understand."

Zeus leans on his chair, "My boys will look after you, so no more escaping, Agatha."

'Another babysitter? He making my life miserable,' She said in her mind.

"I'm not making your life miserable. I'm just telling you what to do."

Her eyes widened when she heard him say those words. Agatha looked at him like she saw a ghost. She didn't know if she said it out loud or he had just read her mind.

But she shut her mouth up and hold herself from asking him because she knew the young man was not the type of guy who wanted to answer a lot of questions, especially when it came from her.

Maybe she had to get used to it because if she didn't, sooner or later, she might gone crazy.
